I have a PDF file that I downloaded, can I black on a section that uses the Adobe service?

  • Is it possible to give each page in a pdf document a specific set of print settings?

I have a complex document (catalog), which involves an impression. There are several different print settings required and each is specific to each page in the document. For example pg 1 is alone in color, page 2-3 is a duplex in b & w, page 3-8 is a duplex in color, etc... Is it possible to give each page in the pdf document a given set of print settings and print the entire document as a whole?

    Hi jennyskop

I guess that's not possible... It is necessary to restore the print command and select respective pages and their settings!

  • prohibition to copy the part or parts of the PDF document

Can I disable (via scripts) a copy of a particular area of a PDF document? For example, a person copy the selected text in the document (Ctrl + c or via context menu), but in the memory buffer in fact will be added only allowed to copy text (for example, a paragraph is prohibited and the other allowed).

No, it is not possible. You can apply a security policy that prevents the copy of the entire file, but not part of it.

  • Remove/cut a part of a PDF document

    Hello, this is probably a stupid question as it should be really simple, but I just can't understand how do;

I'm cutting a single rectangular piece of a page (just a single page with a small part, I want to delete it) in a PDF document as a culture if you want to reverse. Tried to do it on Acrobat as well as preview Mac app and nothing works. I know this is easily done using a program to paint or something similar, but I spent so much time trying to figure out how do it on PDF editing programs and I just want to find a way.

    Thank you.

Use the redaction tool. Acrobat Pro, it's under Tools - Protection.

  • Sending a part of a pdf document, not the entire document

Client wish users can select and send the different sections of a pdf document without sending the entire document. Is this possible?

Use Acrobat to extract the pages of interest, save this new PDF and attach it to an e-mail.

This is impossible with the free Adobe Reader software.

  • is it possible to only 1 part of the bolded text?

As the title suggests I can everything do a part of the "BOLD" text but not all this?

    Example:

May 2009: XXXX of product line that comes out.

cause when I just highlight the part of May 2009 and try to "BOLD" it change all the text inside the div.

In code view, place tags around the text you want to bold:

May 2009: XXXX of product line that comes out.

  • How do I OCR only one part of a long document?

OCR with a pdf file is usually very simple.  Not here.  It is a legal document (PDF) with line numbers on the left and vertical lines on both sides of the text I want to OCR.  If the OCR includes line numbers, I'll have to spend hours to remove them. The left also include the name of a law firm and low a the title of the document, that I blacked out.  (Line numbering is quite common on legal stationery pre-printed within days to write, most courts have got beyond the way things have been done at the time, but it is obvious.  Obviously makes OCR a challenge!)  In earlier versions of Acrobat, I used a tool called simple gum with a (long since disappeared) British firm that carefully erased what from a pdf file, as all the stuff I want to get rid of here, before you run the OCR and save the document in Word format. This tool does not work with Acrobat 9 and the version that I am now using, Acrobat X.  Oh, and just retype the text is not an option for me.

There MUST be a way to do this!  Any suggestions?

    Sample page.jpg

Acrobat 8 by XI (at least the Pro versions) provide the redaction tool.

Used correctly this tool completely removes the selected PDF page content.

(so it's good to read the help for this application).

Not with Adobe Reader, but with an editor like Adobe Acrobat PDF.

  • Is it possible to insert a vector file in a PDF document?

It doesn't seem to be - I only get the possibility to insert bitmap images. I was provided a PDF form and I want to be able to put a piece of vector illustrations in there. What I have to edit this page in Illustrator and then reimport him in the PDF?

    I'm on Acrobat DC (CC2015).

    Hi NoMagnolia-

Yes, it is quite possible to use vector graphics in a PDF document. Open the vector in Illustrator, and then export it as a PDF, then you won't have any problem inserting in your page.

  • Save part of a pdf to another PDF document?

I'm on Mac OS snow leopard 10.6.8.

I've just upgraded to Acrobat X Pro since version 8.  With the v8 printer driver, I could display part of a pdf file and then print this view, mounted on paper format I wanted, and create a new pdf file just this part of the original pdf file.

With Acrobat X, in the print window I followed this procedure, and then since there is more an Acrobat printer, I click on the "Printer" button that gives me the printing system window.  Still, I can't choose Acrobat printer because it isn't one, if I click on the "PDF" button and can then choose "Save as Adobe PDF".  I then get a message that "saving a PDF file printing is not supported.  "Instead, choose file > save.

The problem is that I can't use Save to create only a part of a pdf file.  There is no no matter what choice to do this when you save or save as.  I also tried to "Take a snapshot" in the Edit menu, but will once again printed, I can't print to PDF.  I get the same message 'not supported' as before.

So can you create is no longer a part of another larger pdf pdf file?  I am an architect and facing large drawings all the time. 24 inches by 36 inches or more.  I often need to create a pdf file of just a detail of a drawing to then send to someone.  My only choice is to reinstall the Acrobat 8 printer driver somehow so that I can back this ability?

What is the point of having this "Save as Adobe PDF" If you can't use it for anything?

See if it works for you: make a file > save as > PDF and save a copy of your original.

With the open copy, choose Tools > Pages > Crop.

Create a culture of part of a page (or pages) that you want to include. Double-click the collection area to bring up the dialogue of cultures. Select the current page or range of pages to be included in your PDF selection. And click OK.

    Print from this file.

Is it possible to burn only a part of a song (from my library) to a CD? I'm burning about two minutes in the middle of a song on a CD.

Install Audacity. It allows to change the song > then "export as MP3 > then burn it to a CD."

Audacity is free. I use it quite often. It's good enough for me.
