What can be the startup disk on my desire to 700-074 with 64 bit 8.1?

I used to think that 2 TB was the max, but I was wondering if this restriction still exist?

Hi pego99,

Please refer to this Microsoft document on management of disk in Win 7 64 bit. Win 8 and 8.1 Win also apply.

Your PC will meet the needs of the 2 TB limit.

  • BootCamp not appearing player is not in the startup disk.

Just today, I noticed that my bootcamp drive does not appear in the startup disk in system preferences. I use 10.11 El Capitan. However, I was able to boot both of the OS by pressing 'option '. And also disk utility does not show the bootcamp partition. But in the finder, it shows the partition. When I try in recovery mode disk utility, here it shows the bootcamp partition. But not in OS X.

And finally, 'get info' when I try and guess what: it shows the last open: January 1, 1970, at 05:30. which is never true.

Is this problem of OS X, how do I do?

You can try to run first aid by using disk utility. I would start on the recovery drive to do.

Restart the computer and hold command-R

Also, once you have repaired the disk in the recovery drive, quit disk utility, then leave OS X Utilities and select "Choose Startup disk." See if the Windows partition appears here.

    Good luck

  • Need help with the disks 'unreadable' configuring software raid after the death of the startup disk and system restored.

I'm looking for some advice on how to restore a windows xp installation software raid 5 that was running on my XP system. I had a problem when the startup disk has failed, but I was able to backup the system before it can. I replaced the drive and restored the system and everything came, but I was not smart to do this and accidently left the readers connected when restoring raid. I don't know if windows has done something when I tried to install XP on the new drive, or maybe something else has happened when I restored the system from the backup, but my raid drives can not be used. There was a moment in the restaurant business I saw a message on the MBR, but I thought that was just for the drive being restored. I didn't have a single player who held any information on the other disks in the system, but I'm not 100% sure on that.

When the system boots the windows logo screen takes 10-20 minutes before you get on the desktop. Windows Disk Manager takes 20-30 minutes to fill the list of drives and status on the disks three raid is 'dynamic' and 'unreadable' is not reassuring. I suspect it's a problem MBR or partition table that must be corrected before trying to reactive the raid, but this is just speculation.

The raid drives are on a promise ide/scsi disk and make it appear to start correctly with names and sizes. After that I get nothing. I do not have another scsi controller (or), but I thought I'd try active @ partition recovery to see if she can find information on the disks.

I hope someone has some experience with recovery like this, because this is a first for me. I thought I was pretty sure running a raid-5, but wouldn't you know, the tech gods have found a way to crush my plans...

Thanks in advance for any help!

I have recived portable computer of the Government with windows pre installed 7professional but now I want to format and reinstal it I require the startup disk and product key (my OS is authentic)

If it's a copy of volume license installed, you will need to contact your employer to find the product key and get the installation files.

If it is preinstalled at the factory with Windows 7 Professional, then use the recovery partition to reinstall Windows 7.

New computers coming often pre-installed with Windows 7 have what is called a recovery partition. This is used to reinstall an operating system in the case of a system failure. To access it, you need to start when you start your computer by pressing a function key. This can be either F1, F2, F9, F10, F11, F12 key DEL or tab. See the manual that came with your PC for instructions on how to reinstall Windows.

This is how the recovery partition is accessible to most popular brands...

For Dell, press CTRL + F11 directly after switching on the device

For HP, press F11 directly after switching on the device

For LG, press F11 directly after switching on the device

For Toshiba, press and hold "0" BEFORE and during the power upward

For Acer, press and hold ALT + F10, as soon as you see the logo

For Asus, press F9, as soon as you see the Asus logo.

For Samsung, press F4 to the power upward...

For Fujitsu, press the F8 key directly after the power

Advent, restart your computer. Then, press F10 repeatedly until the message "Starting system recovery"

Sony VAIO, reboot and press "F8" or "F10" repeatedly until the screen "Advanced Boot Options".

According to this page, it is because of Windows recovery partitions added during the 8 to 8.1 migration and 8.1 to 10.

    Hello
I suggest you to follow these steps and check if that helps:

    Method 1:

Start the computer in safe mode and check if the same problem occurs:

    http://www.Microsoft.com/resources/documentation/Windows/XP/all/proddocs/en-us/boot_failsafe.mspx?mfr=true

    Method 2:

Try to perform the clean boot and check if it helps:

NOTE: When you are finished troubleshooting, make sure that you put the computer in mode normal startup such as suggested in the article.

    Check if that helps.

  • Uninstall the bootcamp partition: the startup disk cannot be partitioned or restored to a single partition.

A few months ago, I created a Windows 8 bootcamp partition, and then, I updated for Windows 10 without any problem. But I no longer need and I would attribute this space to OS X. The problem is when I try to remove it from the app of Bootcamp, I get this message: "the startup disk cannot be partitioned or restored to a single partition. The startup disk must be formatted in a single volume in Mac OS extended (journaled) or already partitioned by Boot Camp Assistant to install Windows. »

It comes to the current state of the hard drive:

You have an idea? Thanks for the help.

I finally solved it. It seems that I had a not mounted partition which it has not been used. I removed it and it solved all the problems:

  • cannot get rid of movies too much space on the startup disk

I get a message that the startup disk is almost full and the culprit seems to be movies.  However, I have not a single movie downloaded on my computer!  They are all on the cloud and do not appear in my library either.  I'm really tired.

  • What exactly does the "recovery disk"?

I'm about to reinstall everything on my laptop but would like to know what exactly is the "recovery disk"...

I presume that it formats the HARD drive with a clean installation of the operating system and all applications toshiba as a CD burner, VAP etc. are NOT installed and must be installed afterwards?

Well, the restore CD contains an image of Toshiba. Toshiba picture is a package and contains a Windows operating system, the Toshiba drivers, tools and additional software.
Simply said that it contains everything that you might find preinstalled on the Toshiba laptop.

And Yes; the recovery CD formats the drive HARD integer (also partitions) and install everything again.
It redefines the laptop to factory settings
