Is it possible to replace the keyboard "accuracy"?

The questions are:

-is it possible to buy the T430 and replacement of the keyboard of accuracy for a classic

- or is it possible to buy T420 anywhere? (even the stores no longer sell)

(and of course, old T400 keyboard would be the best - with classic Insert/Delete /...)

If not, then it is the end of the ThinkPad brand for me (but also probably end to have any laptop... or suggestions?)

History of:

Long ago, I bought R400... For me, ThinkPad * were * the best laptops... Decent style, TrackPoint, matte screen and great keyboard! It changed with the T430 (* 30 series).

I was thinking 'upgrade' - purchase of some T4xx, but this keyboard 'Accuracy' is just 'no go' for me. Backlight? Yes, Nice... But honestly, does not need this. I don't like the huge guys - but this isn't the main problem. I really miss classic Ins/Del/Home/End/PgUp/PgDb block! Even with society T420, I was really sad that designers decided to 'Remove' bigger, movement "Insert" next to "break"...

    Hello

    Your warranty is valid?
In this case contact the ASP in your country to replace the kneeboard, since this would be covered by the guarantee and he would be free of charge.

As far as I know the keyboard replacement procedure is the same as for Portege R700 series
It s difficult because you will need to remove the other parts like the
Battery, sim card, express card slot, modules of memory, base Assembly to gain access to a
Ribbon of aluminum on the back of the lid Assembly. Then you could cut the lid Assembly face to the top and peel the keyboard joined the insulator.
And also you can not use the keyboard removed and isolator keyboard again. You will need to use new parts.

  • You can replace the keyboard on Acer Aspire E5 - 571G - 59 CT?

    Hi all

    I can get a good deal on a laptop Acer Aspire E5 - 571G - 59 CT.

However, there is a downside. They keyboard is in German. I think that the German layout is QWERTZ?
in any case, I want to know if it is possible to replace the keyboard with a keyboard with a United-States-layout (QWERTY).

I noticed several online shops offer keyboards, but I'd rather be safe on this fact.

I can find keyboards, with provision of the United States, for Acer Aspire E5 - 571 G '-part, but not for the TC model 59. Does it matter? I think that the last part is reserved for configuration, right? If anyone can confirm this?

The keyboard I have found so far is: http://bit.ly/1EVk49k
    Even cheaper eBay: http://ebay.to/1vjvXG9

So far, thanks for responding. Very much appreciated.

Is it possible to replace the hard drive with an SSD?

or would it be too expensive?

Yes.  There are several alternatives.  I found a way relatively inexpensive, using a map of mSATA (very small SSD) and an adapter to connect it to the connector IDE 44 pin internal of my PowerBook.  It works very well.  Rather than repeat what I posted previously, you can watch these two topics (which also has good info, other users)

FYI - I have used the adapter is even cheaper now

    Lööw salvation,

I'm sure that it of possible to replace the touchpad buttons because you can replace everything on a laptop. But I think that it s a little trickier because you must remove a lot of pieces and that's not easy.

You should ask an authorized service provider guys can order the new spare part for you and exchange it. Just write an email, for example, to get in touch with them.

I have a Satellite P300 - 271 and there are a few damaged keys. I bought a new keyboard for this laptop.

Is there a caraa how do I replace the keyboard?

    Greets, Benjamin

    Hi Benjamin,

As far as I know that these manuals are not for the public. Technicians certified for laptop only can download these manuals. You can download the normal user manual that came with your laptop.

A friend told me to replace the keyboard to remove the keyboard first, support but it s fixed by screws on the underside. After that, you can remove the keyboard but be careful with the cable.

Disassembly of the laptop is a little tricky. If you n t have experience with that you should ask a technician for laptop help.

  • Is satellite A200 - possible to replace the grapchics card?

    Hello!

I've had my Toshiba A200 - 1 M 8 for two years now and everything was going well until one day, while working on this subject, it is just went down. The arrested LEDs had any, even when not connected to the power supply and the laptop wouldn't start. I checked the habit - power cable bad, trying to see if the leds are gone or the laptop start with and without the battery in. Then I checked if all the cables are connected to the mother board the right way - they were. Know a little of material and to be a student of applied computer science, I thought that the problem was probably with the motherboard or something related to it.

So, an I unplugged devices connected to the motherboard to see if this allows the flow of power through the Commission. Long story short, it turned out that when I disconnected the graphics card (radeon HD2600 256 MB) the LEDs showed once again, and of course, the laptop started, but only a sound signal once or twice, which is normal when there are essential, as the map, missing. After a further inspection, I found that two blocks of memory on the card have burned completely, which explains why it did not work.

So now, here's my question: 1. is it possible to buy a replacement directly from Toshiba? If not, how can I specify what I seek, when searching through stores online and how can I check if it would be compatible with my laptop? 2. If it is possible to replace the card, it would be possible to replace with a better model (like hd3470), this means that my laptop would be able to manage the best card and is it still possible to find a better card, mounting my laptop (physically, I mean, it's pretty tight in there: P)?

Thanks for any helpful answer in advance, if more information is needed to answer my questions, I would be happy to provide it.

    Hello

    (1) an authorized service provider can replace the VGA card to you, directly from Toshiba. There is a list of the ASP on the Toshiba site, in the support section.

    (2) Unfortunately, you cannot upgrade the VGA card in most laptops because there is no common standard model, the BIOS is coded to work with a specific VGA card and the cooling system is designed for the dissipation of the heat of this VGA card.
