I can do this without problems on Adobe Acrobat Pro, but my friends who use Adobe Reader cannot save the completed form. Adobe Reader offers to save a blank copy of the form or print filled. But not what I need. I need to have best x of the form (pdf file) filled by my beneficiaries of x. Y at - it option in Livecycle for to save the form filled out on Acrobat Reader?

  Hi Enrique.

  So that users with the reader to be able to save your form, it must be "enabled drive" before you send it.

  You have three choices:

  • Drive allow the form with LC Reader Extensions ES2, which is a component of server based on the rest of the company. It is planned for the processing of large volumes of data/forms and an additional cost per form.
  • Player select the form using Acrobat Standard v9 (or Acrobat Pro v7 to v8). It has less than 500 users per form license restrictions.
  • Instead of users with reader to send the return in PDF form. You can configure a button "send as XML. It does not require users to drive to save the form.

  I'm building a simple form in LabView to speak with a unit on cameraLink. I can read and data fine, however, I am trying to set up a form with all the values of the possible configurations in the areas of text or numeric values.

  What I want to accomplish is to use a GET and SET buttons to extract data from the text box and write to the device, and also be able to read data from the device back and update the text box as appropriate.

  The communication back works, but seems to be forced to have a textbox INPUT and OUTPUT separated rather than simply use a control.

  I use a HP Pavilion with Windows 7 home laptop. I am connected to a printer wireless (Canon 3-in-1). I have to leave the city and go to my aunt's House in another city. She has no computer configuration at home, but we have wireless router so I can use my laptop.

  Can I take my old Dell printer (I used when I had a desktop computer), plug it into my laptop (I guess I should also install printer) & it use it (without him being wireless, etc.?). The ink is still viable, but it's been several months that I used it. I need to know if it would be interesting to take my old printer with me & be able to configure & use it. If so, is it possible to use a laptop (I use it wireless to my aunt) with a wired printer? And it would be difficult to implement?

  Result is, I sell stuff on Ebay this week, I have to make an emergency trip to help the family, & will probably have to lug around elements (and print shipping labels) while I'm there. I thought that it would be useful to have long-term (even a former model) printer that I can use while helping the family in another city.

  If I read this right, you can install your printer cable right now and test it.  Then go on your trip and just plug in the back of your computer and it will work fine.

  Hi all, I work in a small company and would like to have a generic template that back to new users when they start. He practices the company base on internet usage, storage of base directory, login, etc... I want that last page of a form that I fill to contain their user name, password, telephone etc... I've implemented the shape makes a .pdf file and used the form designer to implement the fields I want to have active. Now I don't know what to do. I deally, I want save a copy of the file for each user in a network folder, with their information on this subject, and the form fields locked after I'm done. I've been playing with the distribution of forms and appear not to do what I want, looks like it creates a single file with all the different updates. I want possible, or can I just keep the shape of the United Nations distributed and open / save for each user and hope that they erase their data?

  Yes, for what you want to do create the form in Acrobat is the best way to go. Here are a few tips.

  1. to flatten the page that contains the form field, use the flattenPages method. It is documented here: http://livedocs.adobe.com/acrobat_sdk/9.1/Acrobat9_1_HTMLHelp/JS_API_AcroJS.88.466.html

  So to flatten the last page of a document, you should do something like:

  Convert fields on the last page to the other content

  flattenPages ({start: numPages - 1});

  2. to save the changes in a new document, you can do this:

  Create your own routine to SaveAs to silently save the file to the desired location by using a file name based on the content of one or more form fields, for example.

  I'm using CS5, specifically acrobat to create a form that will be filled by several people. None of them has nothing more than a drive technology.  It seems that they have trouble saving the form on their computer to deal with during different epochs.  I know, they should be able to save the form and email it back to me, but I can't understand how do.  I'm pretty new to Acrobat.  Laughing out loud

  After you have created the form, use advanced > extend features in Adobe Reader.

  You mention that a lot of people will use this form to keep in mind there are very strict limits as to how many times the form may be completed.

  The basics are, you can send the form to 500 people and they can fill it out and save an unlimited number of times, OR you can send an unlimited number of people and collect the form registered 500 times. You can find more specific information in article 15 of the end user license agreement. My personal advice, if you think you have a chance of exceeding these limts, look for an alternative.

  A possible but expensive solution is a product side Server sold by Adobe. Same as that of the IRS uses to their forms.

  You can configure your formsweb.cfg file to include a section for your application.

  Lets say you have a section called myApp in the formsweb.cfg file,

  When I had a simple select statement, I might get the kind work with either one "in order to" in the select statement or with sorting of the column header.
  Then, I changed the select a Union. I can get the folders to sort if I specify the column number in the order (for example, the order of 9, 7, 1), but the position column sorts do not work. The records look like they are sorted on page 1, but are not sorted on pages 2-5.
  Is it possible to use the title of column sorting and a Union?
