  • Why is the excessive MSIE browser history if I use Firefox?

I am running SP3 Windows XP (32-Bit Version) with MSIE 8
The system is common with all Microsoft updates and application vendors

Whenever I start, clear the history of navigation for Firefox and Internet EXPLORER 8. Then I run Disk Cleanup.

If I use Firefox, why the excessive browsing in Internet history EXPLORE? Why is there no browsing history in Internet EXPLORER in all?

After having investigated further, I found the answer to my own question. I see that another person, also had the same problem.

Thanks to the-edmeister. for the question me "what kind of story is in TEMP? I just took a peek, and the answer was obvious. In addition, no, I had not installed IE Tab add-on.

It seems that some applications will always choose the MSIE browser, regardless of the browser is configured by default. TEMP storage area used by Internet EXPLORER, in my case (C:\Documents and owner Settings\Temporary Internet Files), was excessive, for the following reasons.

    (1) I checked "Preserve favorite Data" in MSIE properties. Preserved MSIE TEMP data on more than 4,000 of my favorites. Since it has been verified, MSIE would not delete the data, and it slowed the removal of history.

    (2) Windows Live Mail also downloads additional data when you view e-mail messages, such as: JPEG, GIF, etceteras, in the area of storage TEMP used by Internet EXPLORE. My problem is that I get hundreds of emails a week, and I have hundreds of emails stored in personal folders.

    (3) I changed my selection to 'Search for a newer version of stored pages': 'whenever I visit the Web page".

  • DROID: Android browser and Wordpress pages

When you read a Wordpress blog in the browser Android on the DROID, it seems that the page is adjusted to the width of the screen and will not zoom. I heard that the HTC Eris with multi touch can be able to zoom the Wordpress pages, although I didn't know myself. If someone can comment about the underlying technology, I would like to know why this is so. Thank you and happy Thanksgiving!

For at least the first, there "mobile browsing" enabled. If you go at the bottom of this page, you can turn it off. In this case, the page will be displayed exactly as it would with a PC browser, and you can resize the pane.

Well Yes, the second is the same. This is a page of active mobile site. You're not Explorer in the same way as if you were going to a non-mobile site.

  • Mobile Smartphones blackBerry OS6 native browser display

Hi, I used to have OS5 for my Curve 9300 and there, my browser, I have an option to have the page or column mode. Now when I've upgraded to OS6, I thought having lost this option and all the site I go is not on mobile view, but rather on the layout of the web page view/normal. Is that how it really is for OS6 native browser?

In BlackBerry® Device Software 5.0, in the browser Options > General Options > default view, there is an option to select the column or Page.

This feature has been removed in BlackBerry Device Software 6.0 due to improvements in browser.

This information can be seen on this Article ID: KB23994

  • is there a way to collect images used similar to the function "package for output?

I would like to collect only the images/assets I use per page in Dreamweaver. Is there a function that automates that?

There are browser add-ons that can help you with it like this for FF.

  • Blank web pages by web form

I have a website where my clients can, once I send them a code, copy and click on the link, and paste the code into the box provided. Once this is my clients can create a username and password to log-in to my site. Once logged in, if they create a form it comes out blank and wont print. Now, I receive the data that the form was created, but my clients are unable to view the form for accuracy. Is there a browser issue going on here or what?

    Hello

Your question of Windows is more complex than what is generally answered in the Microsoft Answers forums. It is better suited to the audience on MSDN. Please post your question in the below link:

  • Where are stored the typed e-mail addresses previously?

When I type in the email "to:" the phone offers different choices. I would like to remove several of his suggestions at all times. How can I do?

Also if I have an email in the Outbox, how can I manually send or send again. I don't use gmail.

    Thank you

The only suggestions I receive are those who is in my Gmail Contacts.  I can't see all e-mail addresses which show well in my phone Contacts.  I need to access my Gmail account on the computer and open the label of other Contacts to see.

I think Gmail, like other providers of email, to add addresses to your contact list if you contact them by email or if you put them on the white list.  Try logging into your Gmail account, click on the contacts link and click another label contacts and see if they are there.  Only, you may be able to delete it.  If they are not there to browse lists of contacts, you have and see if you can see them anywhere.

Then I would practice the Thread in the test project.

  • The ISE comments and update of Broswer Security Portal

Hi, last week our assistance service received a constant steam of calls regarding our wireless of comments.  For most people, the problem is that there are browser will not allow them on the portal.  After a bit of investigation, we have established that what happens on devices with the latest browsers - IE11, Firefox 39 + and Chrome.

OS x and iOS devices and those devices with older browsers are working ok.

We run ISE 1.1.3.124 which is a certain number of revisions behind so I assume it is the question that 'ignore' safety standards in these new browsers.

My plan is to upgrade to version 1.2, and then to 1.3 which I had planned to do next month anyway, but I just wanted to see if there is a work around on the ISE, which can be implemented so that the upgrade is made a thoughtful and not rushed.

    Thank you.

This problem is apparent on several Cisco - ISE and at least first Infrastructure products.

A couple of threads to discuss and provide workarounds:

    Thread 1

    Thread 2

ISE 1.3 (or 1.4) will fix it. In addition, ISE 1.2.1 Patch 7.

Here's the official Cisco ISE Bug ID.

  • BlackBerry Pearl 8130 smartphone

We recently purchased the Blackberry 8130 and have some problems with them.

    1. Speed Dial worked at some point, but now only brings to the top of my address book.  I removed the battery for 30 seconds, but this does not solve the problem.
    2. Volumes of ringer, a few rings are not as strong when it is set as a ringtone, as it does in the field of the media.  Is there to increase the volume of individual ringtones?
    3. Phone seems to vibrate then ring, even in only Normal modes or by phone.
    4. Is it possible to move specific icons on the page "home"?
    5. How do you define the common, or if not, adjust ring ring?
    6. Is there another browser which can be downloaded and used on the 8130?

I figure out how to move the icons to the home page.

While on the icon, click on Menu and select move.  Move the icons in the top row puts on the home page.

  • Windos 8 clean installation of a new SSD

I have problems, do a clean install of Windows 8 for a new SSD.

I'm suing the 64-bit Windows 8 pro upgrade CD - in the retail box.

The BIOS is set to AHCI. I told the computer to boot from the CD/DVD drive. I put the SSD in an Icy Dock adapter.  I replaced the hard C with an SSD drive.  I unplugged the second HD and all USB devices except the keyboard and mouse. Everything seemed OK.  (I checked the connectors and did several times.) I inserted disk pro upgrade Windows 8 and power running.  He went through the usual initial installation.  He then asked "where do you want to install windows? It shows no disc.  He assane "we haven't found all the disks.  For a storage driver, click on load a driver. »

After clicking on load a driver, it says "to install the device driver for your drive, insert the installation media containing the driver files, and then click OK. Note the installation media can be a flash drive, CD, DVD, or USB. "There are browse and recan buttons, which do not help.

Clicking OK search a little while and then he said: 'no signed device drivers were found. Make sure that the installation media contains the correct drivers. »

Well, no disk not supplied with the SSD (a crucial M500 960GB).

I have triple checked the connections, and they seem OK.

I'm stuck at this point - what could be the problem?

    ======

Added: This computer (I use another right now) came with Win7, but I upgraded to Win8 with the upgrade of the box retail, then to 8.1 with the download from the shop Windows.  He then worked with Win 8 and 8.1.  If I put the HD in, it works as it did, but I need to do a clean install on the new SSD.

Well Yes may be the card it connects directly to the port

Well, I took the SSD to the Icy Dock adapter and taped in temporarily, and he now sees the SSD!  I checked the SSD into the adapter and it seemed safe.  He hung in place, etc.

    And now it's 'customize '.

Thanks a lot (and everyone else).

  • ISE Portal Builder Firefox Plugin is not available

    Hello

I followed the information explained the link on how to use the generator of ISE Portal below. In this case, I'm under ISE 2.0 on VM

However, when I get to the stage where I need to download the file at ISE, I can't find any browser plugin to use as explained.

    https://isepb.Cisco.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2015/01/ISEPBHow-to.PDF

Anyone know if there are browser extensions available for download these files on ISE?

    Thank you

    Hello

You need to install the plugin: https://isepb.cisco.com/stats/uploader/latest

Then when you are in your ISE, you will see the upcoming plugin and you can browse or drag and drop your template file exported ISE. Take a peek on this video from FAQ:

    https://isepb.Cisco.com/blog/demos

The plugin works How - to's are in the 2nd video.

  • Need help: the Portfolio does not open in my browsers

I discovered a portfolio that opens in Internet Explorer (v.10.0) but the same portfolio does not open in Chrome (v.42.0) or Firefox (v.37.0.1) - rather only the cover sheet appears. I have Adobe Reader 11.0 and XI of Acrobat Pro installed. Are there special browser settings that I need to put? Thank you.

Hi Steve, thank you very much for your answer. I have Adobe Reader XI and Adobe Technical Communication Suite 5 installed. But depending on your response, I found these instructions on the activation of the viewer Adobe Acrobat or PDF Reader for Firefox and Chrome. Here is the link: https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/pdf-browser-plugin-configuration.html

Work instructions, so I'm marking this as resolved issue.

  • Acrobat Connect Pro questions

    1. can you instructor login to 24 hours prior to the scheduled start time, which class is to examine the agenda etc.? Y at - there no constraint on it?

2 admin can start as an instructor if the instructor is not available?

    3. What are configurable for multiple languages?

    4. number of seats by default may by admin before a class or instructor.

    5. is there a browser dependency. Version of Java, IE etc.

    UNNI Kitenge says:

    1. can you instructor login to 24 hours prior to the scheduled start time, which class is to examine the agenda etc.? Y at - there no constraint on it?

Connect meeting rooms are available 24/7/365 after their creation. So the instructor can access their room whenever they need to review/Setup/Customize/clean up/etc. The instructor would just need to have the appropriate within Connect rights (usually to be member of the group, host of the meeting and have the host rights to the specified room).

    UNNI Kitenge says:

2 admin can start as an instructor if the instructor is not available?

That depends on your license, but assuming the most common model (named host licenses), as long the Admin is also a member of the Group hosted the meeting and has rights to the host (well can have any level of rights in the House, but it is easier to manage if they have rights of the host) in the House , then there is no problem with the Admin start the session in the room without the instructor.

    UNNI Kitenge says:

    3. What are configurable for multiple languages?

Yes and no. The rooms can be put in place in German, English, Spanish, French, Italian, Dutch, Portuguese Brazilian, Turkish, Russian, Chinese, Japanese or Korean. But the room can only be one language at a time.

    UNNI Kitenge says:

    4. number of seats by default may by admin before a class or instructor.

No, the number of your room is defined by your license. Appointed guest rooms have a capacity of 100, Webinar rooms can have 500, 1000 or 1500 seat capacity. There are other options, but are generally not purchased.

    UNNI Kitenge says:

    5. is there a browser dependency. Version of Java, IE etc.

Connect should work on all browsers have Flash on. Flash 11.2 or new is needed, but 17 is underway. Complete tech requirements can be found here: Adobe Connect specifications
