Is this too much to expect in Apex 5.01?

I have an application which records people entering an area.

The idea is to scan badges and save time and the date of that entry.

This is accomplished with a simple form based on the table of the newspaper.

In a subregion of the form, I would have an interactive report that shows to all those who have entered sort by date and time entry descendant who visited today is obvious.

I join the attendant to be able to use the interactive report to be able to select a particular line that could be recovered and placed in the main form to change (a bit like the model of interactive report with a link to a form where updates can be made.)

I can create the report form and the subregion and that seems to work very well for journal entries, but I don't have a clue as to how I would go on the use of the report for access to update data in the form section.

I would be eternally grateful if someone could point me in the right direction!

Is this something that is hard to do in Apex?

Is this something that is hard to do in Apex?

Not at all. Try to use the wizard to create a Page to create a form on a Table with report based on the table of the newspaper (choose Normal for page mode and Interactive for the implementation of the report). When finished, separate report and pages of form will have been generated. Go to the report page and copy the region interactive report on the page of the form. The report page can then be deleted if it is not required.

    I have a screen with an interactive report (IR) and a tabular report on it. There is a radio button used to switch between them, of course, both of them have conditional logic based on this button. If the tabular report is the default value, everything works fine. If the interactive report is the default, then the 'link' on the IR used to display single details comes in white.

    Note that if the IR is by default, but you switch to tabular and then back to IR before trying to put in place the single record view, fine. It's almost as if something is not be instantiated unless the table view is loaded.

    The option button and the two reports are in the same region.

    Anyone has any idea on this?

    OK, I looked inside. It is a common problem, but you have reached a particular example of this, because it seems that you need not the value of P2_REPORT_SELECTOR in your SQL for IR.
    BUT do you it because you have on your health.

    So, there are two simple ways to solve this problem. As I mentioned previously.
    1. you must fill in the field "Page elements must send" in the IR with P2_REPORT_SELECTOR
    I did it.
    What it does it does the value of P2_REPORT_SELECTOR available in persistent session state so that the AJAX call can seen that the condition is met and that the report should be displayed/rendering.

    2. the other option is a calculation on P2_REPORT_SELECTOR who rule on 1 when P2_REPORT_SELECTOR is set to null. I left this calculation, but it set to never right now. It's the same effect net because calculations save values to persistent session state.

    Without the value of P2_REPORT_SELECTOR to persistent session state, the value is only in memory during rendering. That's why the page renders correctly. BUT so that the report to switch to the display of the page one needs to know the value of P2_REPORT_SELECTOR and the value was NOT in permanent session state, therefore not available for the AJAX call, which updates the State.
    Same thing when VC has been sent, it saves the value of P2_REPORT_SELECTOR in persistent session state. Same as switching the button radio.

    Hi all

    I use Apex 4.2

    I have an interactive in which I activated the filtering and sorting.

    When I click on one of the column in the interactive report, saying: "LAST NAME", it shows me the filtering and sorting options drop down.

    The poster also available name drop extracted from the query, but it shows me some range of name pronounce A - C only.

    I have family with starting with another letter also names, but those names are not displayed.

    For some columns displays the values of A to E, but not the full list.

    How to display the entire list in this fall down.

    Because of interactive report performance, it loads only a few filters.

    If you change the column definition for the column, under set the Filter Type of column to one of the other options like 'User defined list of values to exact match filter' from the list of values.  You can then specify the query used to generate this list.  You could use something like what listed below to grab the first 20000 records.

    Select *.

    from (select name

    WCP

    em order by name)

    where rownum<=>

    But don't forget, it will always affect your performance of interactive report page.

    UltraVNC seemed to work very well with win 7, but the only software of remote that I know works without fail and control on a very consistent basis, is the enterprise version of RealVNC. Yes, it costs money, but it is comparable to microsoft RDP, with additional features. They have a free version that does not cost any money and it's missing a few features. In a corporate environment, I am sure that this version is a no no.

    I want to use #ROWNUM # to add the attribute 'id' to 'tr elements '. I can do that for classical report by changing the template. But I can't change the model for IR (interactive report). I add < tr #HIGHLIGHT_ROW id # = "#ROWNUM #" > to the report model classic section 'before each Row.
    But I can't do that for IR. You have an idea?

    You don't really have the code. From your code, it seems as the parameter 'el' is the DOM of your TR element, and therefor there is no need your long selector chain.
    Just do the DOM element in a jquery object and start from there:

    $(el).children("td[headers='STARTNOTIFICATIONID']").text()

    I have a very simple application with a few interactive reports. The application was developed in 4.2 Apex using the theme of productivity Applications. It has been upgraded to Apex 5.0 and I spent so that it uses the new universal theme. During the execution of the IR, the first column in the report contains an icon in the shape of a yellow triangle with an exclamation point inside, just the one in the middle of a frame surrounding the data in the report. I have no idea why this icon is there and assume it's some kind of warning icon. The report works very well and there is no message any indicating why the column with the icon is there. The Advisor gives no clue either so can someone tell me what it is and why it is there? Demand for production still works with the original theme 5.0 Apex and does not suffer from the same problem.     I use Apex 4.2 and Oracle 11.g

    I have a column called 'Transaction Details' that I display in an interactive report.  The report text display column selection As a value "Standard report column.

    The report column is selected in a table varchar2 column called transaction_detail.  I build just the table as well.  The transaction_detail of the table column is filled with a procedure with the following code:

    Insert into mail_log (transaction_type, transaction_detail)

    Values ('operation FTP',

    ' Filename =' | ' p_image_filename |

    "& lt; BR / & gt;' | "Description of the event =' | ' l_event_description);

    The code of procedure can be easily changed.

    The report does is display: Filename = myfile.jpg < br / > the event Description = description

    I tried to use Chr (13) in the procedure instead of the html characters and then tried to replace the Chr (13) in the apex with html characters.  Instead of simply select the column:

    transaction_detail

    I tried:

    , REPLACE (transaction_detail, Chr (13), "& lt;") BR / & gt ;')

    but I couldn't get past an Apex error: ORA-12899: value too large for column 'APEX_040200 '. "" "" WWV_FLOW_WORKSHEET_COLUMNS '. "" DB_COLUMN_NAME' (size: 49, maximum: 30)

    If Apex shouldn't be able to interpret the < br / > like a new line if the column is a column of report Standard?

    This is therefore a simple approach, I used in the past and can work for you.  Switch to the Chr (13) and in the IR columns use the HTML Expression like this:

    #COLUMN_NAME#

    No need to change the column to column Standard report either.

    It comes to Apex 4.2.  We try to create an interactive report.  The report is for something similar at a follow-up time.  We try to concat a comments column as the sum of the hours.  For example,.

    Select TASK_NAME, sum (HOURS), to_char (XMLAGG (XMLELEMENT(E,E.COMMENTS ||) ' : ')). Extract ('//Text ()'). GETSTRINGVAL()) USER_COMMENTS of...

    This query works fine if we seek only to a window of 1 week.  The question that we live, when we expand the scope of the query to include data from 3 months, we hit ORA-06502 interactive report.  If we remove this column from the interactive report, then the report works very well.

    Anyone has any ideas on how we might be able to work around this problem?  I'm guessing we're reached the limit of 32 k on the report.  Ideally, we would show just the last X number of comments and then have a link to show all comments

    Any help would be appreciated

    ListAGG raises an ORA-01489 for varchar2 > 4000 bytes

    OP has an ORA - 06502--> IR is running within a limit of 4 k / 32 k.

    quick fix: wrap USER_COMMENTS ListAGG in a substr (..., 1, 4000)

    Longer solution, use a subquery to modify comments based on ROW_NUMBER() (IE after the nth line, change the null)

    I use APEX 4.02

    I have a page with 2 regions.
    Region1 is a form (of entry)
    Region.2 is an interactive report on the same table as region 1

    When you enter values in the form I'm trying dynmically similar research records in the table with the interactive report.

    I made a dynamic action on the change of form fields that must refresh the interactive report region. I can see this one fires if I add an alert to debug if it fires.
    The dynamic report is based on a query with bind variable pointing to the fields in the form, for example
    where
    Field1 =: P2_FIELD1


    It works fine on the page loading, so no action is triggered, but I see the lines in the region of report are the ones I'm looking for.
    The updating of the report area does not work, but it is never nice and/or showing the correct data after a change of form fields, if it looks like the dynamic action "refresh the region" does not work on the interactive report.

    Any ideas why it can go wrong?
    I want to solve this problem using standard dynamic actions and preferably not via PL/SQL or JS, should be possible if I believe documentation... ;)
