issues of data type of waveform in labview
Hello! IM creating an osciloscope in labview, but im having problems try to get a few items in waveform.
I need to get items such as the XSCALEMAXIMUM to the type of waveform data (dark brown) not on DBL (orange).
I already watch every single video on youtube and also gone thorugh many forums. but I still don't know how to get the data type of waveform elements.
When I give graphics right click on wavefirn and select Create > property node > Y sacle > range > all items, if what I get
but I need for this .
This is what im trying to do im I can't see any conversion attempt. then TI loks like its an option that I have not available or so.
helpe me please!
If you connect a waveform to a graph and then create a node property, you will get the type of waveform. If you have a connected DBL and create a node property, you will get the type DBL. Simple as that.

Hi all
What is the difference between varchar and nvarchar data types?
Nvarchar is better for database performance?
If I have a table with several columns such as number, and I do a lot of calculations, what is the best way to use indexes?
Thanks in advance.
John Buser9542267 wrote:
Can you explain what you mean by "all the space reserved varchar2?Means if I said varchar2 (20), in the field of the table is to book and use 20 places, although we do not store any data. Do you know what I mean?
This is false. VARCHAR2 and NVARCHAR2 are of variable length data types. If you said TANK so I would agree with you. I recommend you re-read the definitions of data types.

Gets the data type variant for the selection of cases
I don't ' know much about alternative, so I'll ask as many questions as possible on this subject. If I have a table of varying, and each of these variations has been converted to a different data type. This table will be the clue to a for loop and each item will be handled in a case inside the loop structure for.
The issue is that I would like to take the variant data type, convert enum and use it to select the box on the structure of the case. How do I do that? Or what is the best way to do it?
Yik
VI 'Get TDEnum of data' of the data tools package.
There is also the "GetTypeInfo" VI which is located in the

Spend the MATLAB data types 'cell' between MATLAB script nodes in LabView?
Hi all
I need to pass a variable of data type of cell of a MATLAB script node in LabView to another, but the cell is not listed as a data type 'exit' in the script node.
Is it possible to do without converting them into a 2D array? Each column of my cell has a different number of lines...
Thank you!
Mike
Too bad...
Rather than use a typical LabView, I just say
assignin ('basic', ' varname', varvalue ");
in the first script and varname called from the second node to get my cell.
Easy... duh leaving here if anyone has the same issue in the future.

incompatible data types: expected NUMBER got LONG
Version 3.2.20.09
Hello
I use SQL Developer and want to see trigger body using as a function but unfortunately its data type is long so that I get the error message, is there a way by which I can see the bodies of trigger...
Example query
TRIGGER_BODY
SELECT TRIGGER_BODY FROM user_triggers
WHERE TRIGGER_BODY LIKE '% HEAR. "
Error
ORA-00932: inconsistent data types: expected NUMBER got LONG
00932 00000 - ' incompatible data types: wait %s %s got. "

Error on line: column 2: 7
This isn't a matter of SQL Developer. Access quick, but partial, the answer is that the display of a LONG column in SQL * more / developer SQL can be done by issuing just one
1000 long - value (or some other, more)
You are referencing a LONG in a WHERE clause, however, is absolutely forbidden as I know. Maybe something new (System invisible columns generated in LONG columns in the data mirrored dictionary?) are available in 12 c, but disapproval of LONG was announced in Oracle 8 in favour of the LOBs.
Anyway, if you do not want to ask this question in the forum of PL/SQL, see solution code of Laurent Schneider in this old debate...

If I change the data type of a column, and there were no other structural changes, I have indeed flashback the table to one point more old if I first return they datatype its original definition?
I would like to try it myself, but I messed up somewhere and disabled my return of flame somehow... maybe for the current session or the entire database, I need to see what is wrong - for now I would like to continue my current reading instead of playing with that.
Assistance regarding the issue is appreciated, thanks.

FLASHBACK TABLE
Goal
Use of the
FLASHBACK
TABLE
statement to restore a previous state of a table in the event of human error or application. The time in the past including the table can be flashed back is dependent on the amount of undo data in the system. Also, Oracle database cannot restore a table to an earlier state across all DDL operations that modify the structure of the table.See that last sentence?

Please resolve.
HIGH_VALUE datatype is LONG. You may not use for a long TIME in WHERE clause expressions. You need to loop through the partitions by selecting HIGH_VALUE and then comparing. Secondly, there is no need to select double to calculate expressions. For example:
Select to_char (add_months (trunc (sysdate, 'MM'),-1), 'YYYYMM') | ' 00' in the double last_mnth_var;
should be replaced by
last_mnth_var: = to_char (add_months (trunc (sysdate, 'MM'),-1), 'YYYYMM') | ' 00'.
and there is no need to add_months here:
last_mnth_var: = to_char (trunc (sysdate, 'MM') - 1, "YYYYMM"). ' 00'.
But the main question is simply ALTER TABLE MODIFY PARTITION COMPRESS allows compression but does not compress. You must issue ALTER TABLE MOVE PARTITION COMPRESS:
SQL > create table tbl (n) partition by range (n)
2 (partition p1 values less than (maxvalue))
3. Select lpad('X',4000,'X') from dual connect by level<=>=>

Hi all
I am facing a problem while creating a BI reports to the SQL Server 2008 Database.
Access to columns of data type "uniqueidentifier" I get error [nQSError: 43119]:-the data type: 25 is not supported.
- OBIEE 11.1.1.6.11 on Linux x86_64 servers is hosted by the Services of Oracle Cloud.
- Using last "ODBC driver for SQL server 11" for connection (also tried driver "DataDirect SQL Server 6.0 native Wire Protocol").
- No "Uniqueidentifier" data type columns display correctly in reports.
- I tried to change the columns of data type "Uniqueidentifier" to char (36), VARCHAR (36), VARCHAR (40), types of binary data (16) in the physical layer on various suggestions but error still there.
Same columns questioned the SQL Developer (using third-party jTDS JDBC driver "jtds - 1.2.7 - dist") I am able to see these "uniqueidentifier" data columns. record sample:-"CB350576-FCD8-DE11-B111-002219598619".
Please advice if this is a bug or I'm missing some property of SQL server database settings.
Thanks in advance.
Yes Srini,
This type of column becomes UNKNOWN when they are imported into SPR but its strange after changing to VARCHAR (36), we can use it for joining tables without any problem.
Only issue I'm facing now is the limitation to use in queries like calculate the total number of incidents (in my case incidentid is the primary key).
But I've found a workaround. I am formulating a measure in MDB layer to get the number of total incidents as {CASE WHEN
is NULL then 0 otherwise 1 END}. the aggregation is defined on the sum and I get incident count works correctly. Thanks for your help.

Insert/update the column with the clob data type
Hi all
ORCL Version: 11g.
I have a table with the clob data type.
Test12
(col1 clob);
I'm trying to insert/update to update the column with more than 4000 characters.
But due to the limitation of tank 4000, I could not Insert/Update.
Need your help in resolving this issue.
THX
Rod.
The limit of 4000 characters is incorrect. That pertains only to the varchar2 data type. A clob can hold more than 4 G.
Here is an example that shows how to insert it, I found...
Otherwise, here is a way 'dirty' to do.
insert into your_table (COLA, COLB)
values
(PRIMARY_KEY, PART 1 OF DATA)
;
Update your_table
Define COLB = COLB | PART 2 OF BIG DATA
where COLA = PRIMARY_KEY;
Update your_table
Define COLB = COLB | PART 3 OF BIG DATA
where COLA = PRIMARY_KEY;
.. and so on...
I don't know that I personally recommend the second style... But he could do the job.

Insert the ROWNUM in a column of data type of NUMBER table
Hello
I have a table that has a column named "rank" of the NUMBER data type. Basically, I want to make an analysis of top-n and insert the ROWNUM with other columns in the table.
Definition of table1:
CREATE TABLE
(
col1 VARCHAR2 (10),
Col2 NUMBER,
NUMBER of col3,
rank NUMBER
);
INSERT INTO table1
SELECT col1, col2, col3, rownum
DE)
SELECT col1, col2, col3
FROM table2
ORDER BY DESC of col3
)
WHERE rownum < = 5;
I get an error ORA-01722: invalid number. I think the mistake is virtual ROWNUM is not data type of NUMBER, so I tried to cast as CAST (ROWNUM AS NUMBER), but it does not work, same error. Can can you please shed some light on how to convert a ROWNUM number or if the issue is something else.
you're right, your example worked. It is an example of table I just created just to illustrate the problem, but my real table was always showing the same problem. Weird, isn't? However when I added the column names after that insert the question but statement I resolved. Adding code
INSERT INTO TABLE1
(col1, col2, col3, rank) - added
SELECT col1, col2, col3, rownum
DE)
SELECT col1, col2, col3
FROM table2
ORDER BY DESC of col3
)
WHERE rownum<=>=>
So that means ROWNUM returns number; and another confusion: why the inclusion of the column has solved my problem when it is not necessary for your example. in any case thank you.

incompatible data types: expected - got CHAR, variable connection see detail
Hello.
Here's my problem:
I have connected with a link master detail views. Variable binding that contain both have some session information views:
It is a menu on the database and I'm trying to hide certain values based on the permissions of the user.
When you run the application module, everything works fine. The problem occurs when I try to display the menu as a picture of the tree, or any other table, on a page.
The root view runs correctly, but then I get a
"java.sql.SQLSyntaxErrorException: ORA-00932: inconsistent data types: expected - got TANK.
error in the method executeQueryForCollection of the detail view. (this method is overridden)
Bind Variables are:
-: menuRoot-> that contains the value of the root node. (In the Details view, it is just a dummy variable. It is explained later why I used it.)
-: listOfUserPermmission-> permissions of the user table.
My query looks like this:
1 Master View:
CHILD_IME_MODULA and PARENT_IME_MODULA are also names of permissions.SELECT MetVMenu.CHILD_ID, MetVMenu.CHILD_IME_MODULA, MetVMenu.PARENT_ID, MetVMenu.PARENT_IME_MODULA, MetVMenu.ZST, MetVMenu.NIVO, MetVMenu.CHILD_NAZIV_V_MENIJU, MetVMenu.CHILD_TIP_MODULA, MetVMenu.CHILD_OPIS_MODULA FROM MET_V_MENU MetVMenu WHERE MetVMenu.PARENT_IME_MODULA like :menuRoot and MetVMenu.CHILD_IME_MODULA in (SELECT * FROM TABLE(CAST(:listOfUserPermission AS STRARRAY)))
2. see link that connects the master. CHILD_ID and detail PARENT_ID
3 detail view, then linking to itself... to get the tree menu.
4 ViewLink, which connects CHILD_ID and PARENT_ID from this point of view 'detail '.SELECT MetVMenu.CHILD_ID, MetVMenu.CHILD_IME_MODULA, MetVMenu.PARENT_ID, MetVMenu.PARENT_IME_MODULA, MetVMenu.ZST, MetVMenu.NIVO, MetVMenu.CHILD_NAZIV_V_MENIJU, MetVMenu.CHILD_TIP_MODULA, MetVMenu.CHILD_OPIS_MODULA FROM MET_V_MENU MetVMenu WHERE :menuRoot like 'a' and MetVMenu.CHILD_IME_MODULA in (SELECT * FROM TABLE(CAST(:listOfUserPermission AS STRARRAY)))
Two views executeQuery methods are overridden to define Bind variables before execution.
I get an arrayList of strings (permissions) of session and then convert it to a table.
I also noticed that there are problems with how define bind variables (issues).ArrayList permmissionsArray = (ArrayList)MyUserSession.getSessionValue("permissions"); Array permissions = new Array(permissionsArray.toArray()); HashMap context = new HashMap(); context.put(DomainContext.ELEMENT_SQL_NAME, "STRARRAY"); context.put(DomainContext.ELEMENT_TYPE, String.class); if(permissions != null){ permissions.setContext(null, null, context); setlistOfUserPermission(permissions); } //Here I set menuRoot variable.
So when I did use the variable menuRoot in Details view I had the
' incompatible data types: expected - got TANK.
error in the module of the application.prepareRowSetForQuery() has solved the problem for me. The binding variable is null and that was the reason for the error incompatible data type.
Regarding the error of the tree-> it was a mistake in the definition of the cardinality. -
Why there is no data type that stores only date (without the part of hour)
Hi all
Is there a particular reason to not have a data type that stores only date (without the time part) in ORACLE - I'm asking this because the DATE (without a time) is a type of data very frequently used in any application.
Thank you.884476 wrote:
In fact, I was reading about the types of data...We have numbers with details. According to the argument above it is not necessary. We need only a default type NUMBER.
It depends on. Much of the work that we do, we only create just like NUMBER and don't worry precision. However for financial purposes, a clarification for the monetary values of the application can be very important.
In the same way do all the varchar2 (4000) character data type. Why we would require an option to specify the length... ?
Because you can limit the size of the string that can be stored.
I see what you're saying, but that's just the way it is. Why Oracle would need to confuse the issues by having several types of data to store the type Date and DateTime requiring an explicit or implicit conversion to be necessary, or provide an indicator of accuracy against the date where this indicator of precision would take of additional storage space on something that is already only 7 bytes.
There will be internal historical reasons why it has happened this way... but really there is no need to worry.

traditional measures to change a data type of column
Hi guys,.
I need your opinion on the traditional way to edit a column of data type, which is the best in terms of performance, taking into account millions of rows to be updated.
We use the Oracle Database 11g Release 11.1.0.7.0 - 64 bit
1. create the new column at the end of the table.
2. run an update to populate the new column in the table
3. remove the old column of table
4 rename the new column for the original name of the column
or
1. create the new column at the end of the table.
2. run an update to populate the new column in the table
3 Rename the new column for the original name of the column
4. remove the old column of table

You cannot rename the new column for the original column name (step #3) because this would have two columns with the same name. And you can move the old column of table (step #4) because you can never do step #3.What did you think?
When you post in the other forum, you must provide the data types of the two columns involved: the old and you want to take it.
If you can do it offline you can use a DEC (create the select table) to create a new table that contains the new column and data and does not include the data or the old column. Who would make the best because it could make the new table NOLOGGING and create the table and data in parallel.
