Issue of roll trackpad Inspiron 15 5000

My new inspiron 15 has a problem with the touchpad - scrolling feature breaks two fingers at irregular but frequent intervals.

I would like to spend 15 minutes on the computer and I suddenly would not be able to use gestures on the touchpad multi-doigts, specifically two-finger scrolling. I noticed that at this time, pinch zoom does not work either which leads me to believe this is a general problem with gestures with multiple fingers.

Restarting the computer always fix it.

I can't tell if it's a hardware or software defect.
I reinstalled the latest drivers dell touchpad, but it made no difference.

Any ideas?
I would have returned the laptop if it wasn't for the 15% restocking fee. (should have done my research before buying)

P.S. I'm fear to call technical support only to spend an hour restart, reinstall the drivers or, God forbid, reinstalling windows.

  • New laptop (Dell Inspiron 14 5000 series) with really bad internet

Hi, I bought a couple of new portable weeks. the laptop as you can tell by the title is a dell inspiron 14 5000 series. It includes the pilot is an Intel processor dual band wireless - 3160 AC. The problem I have is that the internet is very slow. I get 1 Mbps when I'm in my room, but when I stand right next to the router, I get my normal Mbps which is 20 Mbps. I did some research on the resolution of this issue and the most common responses I got of to get a wired connection (if I do that, I might as well have a pc) and download the new driver (2 x 2). I also changed my HT Mode for people with reduced mobility that works, but the internet connection is really bad (5 Mbps). Now my action is to obtain a new driver, but just to be sure there is a way to fix my internet connection?

I know this isn't the internet from the internet on the other laptops work perfectly fine. And I'll be back on the laptop but unfortunately my 2 weeks are up.

Return the machine if you can.

The problem you are having is a common feature of this series of machines from Dell. Dell staff does not recognize the problem and no solution is guaranteed. Just search the forum for yourself.

Have you thought about asking on a forum of Dell? You can get better answers.

In the meantime, I would recommend a virus scan with Malwarebytes Antimalware. And if you provide a list of programs on your system, we might be able to give recommendations on what you can safely remove.

More RAM might help. Go to Crucial.com and run their upgrade analysis tool. Who will tell if they have compatible memory and give you some suggested upgrade configurations.

I am interested in buying the Dell for my Inspiron 13 5000 2 x 1 pen. So, I need to know if this product works on my laptop.

    Have someone tried?

None of the series Inspiron support active pens, requiring that an active digitizer system has not.

  • echo Dell inspiron 15 5000 helmet

I got a dell inspiron 15 5000 with windows 10 because I liked my last inspiron, but im having audio problems with headphones. I tried the headphones on my tv, xbox, playstation, phone and they its great. But when I plug them into my new inspiron I get this light echo in the back and it's music, movies, and almost anything sound terrible. I even tried different helmet and nothing works. someone knows how to fix this?

Solved. At least for my system:

On Windows 8.1 and 10, all the sound elements had an annoying "echo" that drove me crazy. Echo took place after about 20 ms and all software, including the audio test are in

    ' Configure the control panel-> hardware and sound-> Sound-> speakers / Headphones->-> Test ".

This was the test that I used to determine if the problem has been resolved.

    SOLUTION

In the notifications area (on the right side of the taskbar), find the setting "audio Dell." It should look like this:

Right click on this icon and select "Sound manager". There should be a setting under 'MaxxAudio Pro' called 'development of speaker. If you're like me, this will be set to 'On '.

Turn it off! (Or, if you wish, fooling around with it for a bit first. There are some pretty interesting settings here.)

I hope this has solved your problem!

  • Video strategy for Inspiron 15 5000 - need Insight

I have a fairly new Dell Inspiron 15 5000. It has two 'cards' video; is a better term "graphics cards". One an AMD Radeon R5 M335 [graphics card], the other is an Intel(r) HD Graphics 520 [graphics card].

Both can be configured in a pop-up Windows 10 that appear on the display screen.

I have check the documentation and found no information about the use of this material. I would appreciate an idea on how best to use them. And, where to find details of how, when they work.

I know this sounds like a very basic question... is, but I would like to get more insight is now better to use.

Thanks a lot, a lot for any help.

It is a hybrid video system - the GPU from Intel is still active;  the AMD GPU can be configured using the menu that you noted in the surge in video performance in games and other applications.  She, of course, also will significantly reduce your battery life - so use it when needed, leaving idle when it is not.

You can choose to enable the AMD GPU on a per application basis.

  • Dell Inspiron 15 5000 came with Dell Webcam Central.

    Hello

My Inspiron 15 5000 came with Dell Webcam Central preinstalled as it should. I checked my Dell downloads, but it is not there on the list of downloadable software.

Anyone know how can I get Webcam Central?

    Thank you.

    Hi mm132,

If you have recently purchased the system and assuming it came with windows 10. The camera in the startmenu application is a substitute for the central webcam, except if specified in the order. If the Native windows application does not all the functions of the Central webcam, it's the native application in windows 10

  • Upgrade memory for Inspiron 13 5000 series (2 in 1)

Hi, this may sound a stupid question, but I recently got at the entrance of range Inspiron 13, 5000 series (i3, 4 GB of Ram). I want to upgrade the memory because it is a bit slow. Site of Dell, said that this model has only a single Ram slot. I said he made two. I am a clumsy oaf and don't want to open the case unnecessarily (and break these clumsy little clicky "lips"). Can someone tell me if there is a crack or two?

I ask because, if there is just one, I'm going to 16, if it's two, I'll go for a 8 make a total of 12.

    See you soon,.

    Dave

If it is an Inspiron 5368 (more recent 2-in-1 from Aug 2016), it will take up to two 8 G DDR4 SODIMM, total g 16.

There are other models of this series with different memory configurations, so check that yours is a 5368 before purchasing memory:

Thank you very much for your answers. As you suggest, I went to the help/updates and found that 3 points were scored update, Manager, 13 Photoshop and first elements 13 elements. On a hunch, instead uncheck one of them, I thought I'd see what would happen to let update all 3. It took a while, but, long story short, stopped the happy Vangogh and everything seems fine. • S50-B-15N issues satellite keyboard/Trackpad / function key - win 10 improvement

I bought a Satellite S50-B-15N a few months ago, who came with Windows 8.1 and decided to do the upgrade of Windows 10 about two months ago. Initially, the laptop worked well but in recent weeks, he had various issues with the keyboard, trackpad, and function keys.

Keyboard: Sometimes the laptop starts up and the keyboard detects no input. A few reboots solves the problem. If I hold the BACKSPACE key to delete several characters as a single character is deleted on one-click Rollback, I can't keep him down quickly delete several words.

Trackpad: The same for the keyboard sometimes at startup it works everything simply. I have to use the keyboard to access devices Manager where I must get back the driver trackpad for her to start working again at the next reboot.

Function keys: All the keys of the row from the top on the laptop (brightness, volume, stock selection, etc.) do not work. I am able to hold the "FN" key and select an F key, like F5, but other keys are completely insensitive.

I tried reading the forums for solutions and I went to the page of the driver of Toshiba and installed all the drivers for Windows 10 for my laptop, so far, nothing has worked. Is that what I can do to make the laptop works properly with Windows 10?

I have a similar problem. I had the same Toshiba model and bought in August. Not sure when the new driver will be released. If anyone has an idea how to solve this problem?

  • Dell Inspiron 15 5000

I just got the new Dell Inspiron 5000 15 and he arrived with windows 8.1.

I can install windows 7 on it?

the drivers will be compatible with windows 7?

You will first need to go to the website of manufacturers for your model computer and first find out if there are native drivers in Windows 7. A large number of computers that are preloaded with Windows 8 have no native driver support for Windows 7 by the manufacturer. If there is no native driver, you will need to consider returning the machine and buying a machine preloaded with Windows 8 Pro with downgrade rights to Windows 7 Professional. Or look through the catalogue of manufacturers for systems already preloaded with Windows 7, usually the business sector will have these options.

    Resources:

Return the laptop if it came preloaded with Windows 8 and purchase one already preloaded with Windows 7, they are always available:

    Suggestions apprieciated.

    Hello

AFAIK Equium M50 (PSM53) will be supported for Vista, but obviously the drivers aren't ready to download. Try to find the ALPS driver somewhere on the Internet.

    Maybe something like THIS

I have not tested and I don't know if this work, but you can test it. Please let us know how it works.

  • Dell Inspiron 17 5000 trouble

Hello, I just got a new Dell, inspiron 17; and already used an Acer laptop. I currently have a pair of Turtle Beach headphones with microphone and it doesn't seem to be 2 ports from headphone output on this computer (1 for the helmet, one for the microphone) and there isn't a way for me to connect both at the same time as you can see. How can I make this possible?

    ajko1998_
If you could look at a picture of them to see what I mean

Hello. The person who told you yesterday, beamermt79, understood perfectly what you're talking about and you gave the right answer, you can't use your headset with your laptop, and he or she told you also that you might be able to use it with an adapter and provides you with a link to the adapters. I think you did not understand his answer so I'll try to explain it more detail.

Most of the helmets of today are made for smart phones. They did not 2 separate Sockets, one for the microphone and one for the helmet as all the headphones listening used to have. Instead, smart phone headsets combine the 2 Sockets in a single dose, called a PLUG Cap (which means tip, ring, ring, sleeve) and it looks like this:

Note that there are 4 contacts. One is common, one is the mono microphone, and two are stereo headphones. The jack combo in your laptop has contacts to match those of a JACK plug. The microphone of the headset plug has a TRS (tip, ring, sleeve) plug and that is why it does not work in a plug combo. However, the TRS plug for the part of the headphone output of your headset will work into a combo Jack.

For some reason manufacturers computer now put these outlets combined in their laptops. I don't know if they are doing this because it's cheaper or because there are so many tablets and smart phones that use the helmets of DECISION-MAKING.

Anyway, as said it beamermt79, you might be able to make your helmet works by using an adapter. Adapters look something like this:

Note that the on this particular brand (helmet Buddy) jacks are color coded to match the records on your helmet. Jacks the jack accommodation 2 adapter plugs TRS, and then combine them into a single shot TAKEN. However a real big drawback is that many times this kind of cards do not work with laptops. I don't know why, but my guess is that the adapters change the impedance that Windows needs sense. Other devices without Windows do not use impedance detection so it's okay for them. So, if you buy one of them be prepared to return. To be as clear as possible, we received positive and negative reports on this kind of cards.

An alternative is to use an input jack usb audio. They look something like this:

This one is also color-coded. The usb plugs are fairly reliable and cheap and avoid combo altogether, but if you have 10 Windows, I have not heard if anyone has tried with this OS. A disadvantage for you is that your headphone already will have a usb port to draw power.
