Does not complete the Installation BIOS.

Hi all

IM using a HP DV6 - 7028TX, product number: B3K22PA #ABG and im having a problem with the installation of the most recent BIOS.

Currently I have the f.2bs bios version and the more recent available is F.2D REV.

So my question is when I run the update through HP support assistant function, it works very well and insydeflash said his copied succsessfully and requires a reboot.  To restart the shows "Press DELETE to enter setup", then a white screen and it remains on this white screen indefinitely. Then by pressing the power button, I restart the laptop and it starts fine.

I tried to download only the bios package from the hp website and run as administrator, but as on the reboot I just get the blank screen again and no reply.

Any advice on how to complete this update would be greatly helpful.

See you soon

Hi Erico and all,

I finally managed to install the latest update of the bios and it is what has been done.

I tried to install all updates UEFI starting at one and for some reason any my UEFI will not be updated and so my Bios of installation could not be completed. So after an hour of fiddling around I deleted the Partition of 'HP_TOOLS' and started to update the bios, choose 'no' when asked to put a partition.

The Bios has been flashed, computer restared and Voila! New Bios is installed.

Thanks for your help!

See you soon

  • I'm having a problem reinstalling Windows XP. After formatting the disk and create partitions, it will not complete the installation.

    Problem reinstalling Windows XP

I'm having a problem reinstalling Windows XP.  After formatting the disk and create partitions, it will not complete the installation.  He goes back and reinstall Windows again.  I go through the installation of 39 minutes, the computer restarts to complete and it loops back and start the installation again. Why it does this and what I can do to move beyond this?

Go into the BIOS and make sure that you your hard drive is not set to off, and that is the first priority boot CD and your second HD.

Don't push when it restarts anything just to let him do what he does and report back if anything I'm sorry I have no idea.

I installed several card games again and had no problems.  But when I tried to installHoyelpuzzle and Board of Directors, it was installed but that it would not complete the installation. I have

Windows Explorer and uninstalled until I reinstalled it.  I've done 4 times.  He went all way through the process, than to see a message that Setup could not be resumed.  Given that the other two disks of Hoyle have been correctly installed, why do I have problems with the drive of Hoyle puzzle and board? I contacted Hoyle and does everything that they told me to do.  But without success.  What could I do it wrong?

    Hello

For any problem with the help of the recovery Partition that has been copied to the hard disk by the computer manufacturer, you must contact them.

This recovery process is the manufacturer, not Microsoft.

    ________________________________________________

You never told us why you wanted to do a restore. If you had serious errors and the recovery process does not work, you will have hardware problems. BUT we're only guessing at this stage due to lack of information to help you.

  • Windows 7 does not recognize the installation discs

    Hello

I have a problem, and I don't know if there is a solution, but here goes.

My laptop is a HP DV6-7029WM Windows 7, 64 bit.

The hard drive was dead, and he was replaced last month.  I sent it to HP.  C is the hard drive, and was originally the recovery on D. Removable media were on E, and when I connected a USB stick or memory card reader it would on F.

When I came back, hard drive was on C as it was originally, and there was no recovery drive D. D is now my removable media drive. When I put in a USB stick or a memory card reader, which is now on the E drive.

After I bought this, I put the recovery on a USB key, but I've accidentally thrown out. (My mistake) So I ordered the installation diskettes after that I return my HP PC.  I had 2 DVD system recovery disks and an Application and a recovery DVD Drivery.

I want to reinstall Windows back to the default settings. I put disc 1 (System Recovery DVD) and close.  I reboot and it goes directly to the office. I hear the whirring disc, but nothing happens.

I go to the control panel > Recovery > advanced retrieval methods. I click on restart, and it loads files and then says DVD set, which I do. He told me that he does not recognize the installation disc.

I googled this problem and found a poster on CNET that had the same problem as I do. Also, I can't do a system restore.  My problem is the same as this poster on CNET.  I can read DVDs and CDs.  Those that work very well.

    http://forums.CNET.com/7723-19411_102-568059/Windows-7-installation-disc-not-recognized/

The files are on the DVD, because I see them.

I don't know what to do. Should I send my PC back? Can I do to solve this problem?

    Thanks in advance.

    pen

    Hello:

With recovery disc 1 into the DVD drive, restart the computer and at the beginning of the HP welcome screen, press the ESC key to display a menu of options.

Select the F9 boot menu option.

Select the DVD drive on the list of bootable devices, and press the Enter key.

Watch the screen for additional instructions.

My Vista system trying to download the updates, and it does not complete the download. It is up to "Windowsupdate_00000646" and "windowsupdate_dt000" How do I clear this code to receive these updates?

They are only updated office or all updates?

For Office updates, usually to pick up the item at the: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/default.aspx

then manually download and install the same.

If all updates, perhaps consider the following general tips-

Option: File of Windows Update agent wups2.dll is incorrectly registered and the registry associated with the Wups2.dll file files are missing.

Method 1: Save the Windows Update files

    1. Click Start and type notepad in the box start the search.
    2. click on Notepad in the list programs.
    3. copy the following commands, and then paste them into the opened Notepad window:
    REGSVR32 WUPS2. DLL/S
    REGSVR32 STINKS. DLL/S
    REGSVR32 WUAUENG. DLL/S
    REGSVR32 WUAPI. DLL/S

    REGSVR32 WUWEBV. DLL/S
    REGSVR32 JSCRIPT. DLL/S
    REGSVR32 MSXML3. DLL/S
    4. in Notepad, on the file menu, click Save as.
    5. in the file type list, click all files.
    6. in the file name box, type register.bat.
    7. save the Register.bat file to your desktop.
8 right-click the Register.bat file, and then click Run as administrator. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or click on continue.
    9. try to reinstall updates.

Click Start, click run, click Browse, navigate to the file you saved and click Open.

Add the switch /wuforce at the end of the command run and then click OK. For example, the command run might look like this: "C:\WindowsUpdateAgent30-x86.exe" /wuforce

    Click run.

Follow the steps to complete the wizard.

    Important

To reinstall Windows Update Agent - download the relevant file from one of the links provided above and save it to a drive where Vista is not loaded because the file cannot be launched directly from the root directory of the system.

Click Start, run, type: "D:\WindowsUpdateAgent30-x86.exe /wuforce" (without the quotes) and press ENTER to install the Windows Update engine.

Note: There is a space between "D:\WindowsUpdateAgent30-x86.exe" and "/ wuforce.

Windows could not complete the installation. To install windows on this computer, run the Setup again.

I get this message when I switch on my compaq CQ40 with Vista 32. From this screen, I can go into Manager tasks and go online, see the program files on the C: drive, change passwords, etc. Anything except support Vista. I just downloaded and installed SP2 via the Task Manager. Always stops after the Welcome screen. Another thing I never noticed before: during the boot and just after opening orb, the Welcome to Windows message lights up with the small circle of progress, then I hear a sound of gong just before startup fails. Curious. Any help out there?

Is it possible to do a new sysprep without getting the OS to start?

    Hello Simon,.

Thanks for posting your question on the Microsoft community.

We need more information about the issue so that we can help you better.

Your computer is connected to a domain network?

Thank you for details on the issue.

Preparation system (Sysprep) tool prepares an installation of Windows for duplication, auditing, and customer delivery. Duplication, also called imaging, allows to capture a customized Windows image that you can reuse throughout the organization. Audit mode allows you to add additional device drivers or applications to a Windows installation. After you install additional drivers and applications, you can test the integrity of the Windows installation. Sysprep also allows to prepare an image to be delivered to a customer. When the customer boots Windows, Windows Welcome starts.
