• Integration with existing SSO/OID infra existing EBS.

  We have an EBS existing 11i (11.5.10.cu2) with users, accounts, and we are looking to implement SSO.
  We use environmental SSO/OID current servers related to the "Apex Applications", OID is populated with Microsoft AD. We have like 10% of users_ids of OID and FND_USERS shift. We can use e-mail.
  
  We seek to extend our SSO/OID to our EBS courses.
  I went through most of the documentation and I was unable to find our implementationscenario
  
  Our SSO/OID is done and working.
  
  But how to validate this environment vs. EBS?
  Is there a document for the steps we have to follow?

• Oracle E-Business Suite Release 11i OID & SSO

  We have integrated with the OID & SSO (11.5.10.2) 11i.
  Get questions to connect to the 11i via connection SSO application. The AppsLocalLogin works fine.
  
  For example
  When I update the password to Welcome12a it gives question ('W' is the incapital letter) - SSO doesnot work and work appslocallogin.
  When I update the password to welcome123, SSO and AppsLocalLogin works very well.
  
  The password is updated using security = > define navigation, and successfully changed the password without error.
  
  There are no. Signon password custom together profile Option in 11i or we have no password defined in OID polcies.
  
  The entries/suggestion is appreciated.

  It is possible to activate SSO only self-service oracle EBS 11i applications. In the affirmative, please can someone give me the related documents and links.

  execution of 11.5.10.2 with 10.2.0.4 db multi-user.
  intalled 10g as another break with the OID/SSO.
  application server 10.1.2.0.2
  DB server: 10.1.0.4
  
  need to integrate SSO with ebs
  
  following mos 233436.1
  
  has confused with authentication UNIQUE task 2, step 5: run the registration script
  
  as this mos says that:
  A perl script is used to register the instance of Oracle E-Business Suite Oracle Internet Directory and Oracle Single Sign-On
  
  txkrun.pl - script = SetSSOReg.
  -provtmp = $FND_TOP/admin/template / < TemplName >
  
  
  and a lot of google search wrote 3 steps:
  
  -Registration of oracle home
  $FND_TOP/bin/txkrun.pl-script = SetSSOReg - registerinstance = yes
  
  -SSO registration
  $FND_TOP/bin/txkrun.pl-script = SetSSOReg - registersso = yes
  
  
  -Record OID

  I have a firefox 2.0 browser that is tested to access EBS 11i Web page. I did several times.
  
  Today, I was surprised, why I can't use it with success. I run the web page and type the connection user ID and password
  the click connection... but it seems disabled or nothing happens
  
  I can see the console error saying:

  Error: submitForm is not defined

  How to clean and reinstall ie? I guess I need to format my PC reinstall

  Clear the cache and browser history files and check again. Don't know which version of IE you are using and the client OS you, but you can Google 'Reinstall IE' and you should get a few useful hits.

  I solved my problem now. I'm just being dumb of me

  In the init.ora, I see that there comment #.

  #log_archive_start = true

  Since it's the eve before db, it did not matter if its commented out.

  But when I switch to it, now, the question to which it can not automatically archive the online redo, it is why ALTER SYSTEM SWITCH LOGFILE wait forever

  I have rman backup of our database of EBS.

  I also have a single backup at oracle.

  Assuming that no patches have been applied, is the one-time backup of oracle home + backup rman, good enough to restore the database to a server disaster recovery?

  Can I still place adpreclone every day, for the rman backup to synchronize?

  Adpreclone is used to capture changes to the patches applied, or adding database files? or both?

  Please throw lights...

  It is not possible to have several databases with the ORACLE_SID even on the same host.

  The solution is that you have to put on separate hosts.

  Fact: The 9iR2 database is certified Linux 3 and 4.

  
  

  Assuming that I migrate or upgrade 9iR2 to 11 GR 2, where install the GR 2 11? This is on linux 4 (current server) or Linux 6 or higher (different server).

  It is a server and this means you better install a server operating system.

  We created the recovery after disaster for 11i ebs in a windows environment.

  Now, we are conducting an application and a database shall also.

  Once we transition from the primary to the standby, day before the application runs with the new URL.

  We have the performance issue on our 9i database. He can't change his memory for more than 2 GB because of its limitation of 32-bit.

  In the first place, I do not understand why Oracle has brought together this 32bits 9i DB when they know that EBS is memory intensive software?

  You have an idea why he brought together this small memory 32-bit Database 9i?

  Can I migrate this 9i 32-bit to 64-bit 9i?

  The application tier is supported by Linux 32-bit 3, 4 and 5 only.

  The 9iR2 database is certified on 64-bit Linux 3 and 4.

  The best thing to do is to create a virtual Linux 4 machine and move the top database.

  You can also migrate and upgrade the database to 10g or 11g.
