I accidentally deleted my TV from my hp Pavilion g7-1070us Notebook PC's volume controls (windows 7).» I went from the use of the device to "use this device (enabled)" to 'do not use this device (disabled);' now I can't hear any sound when when I have my HDMI cable is connected. I didn't know that it would have disappeared completely, is there a way I can get it back?
Hello
You have a few options as I see it.
Go into Device Manager and uninstall the sound driver and restart and unit automatically installs the driver.
Try to run the system restore to the date where the unit was working fine.
Try to update the driver from hp.com for Audio & Bios site.
Let us know how it goes!

missing volume control
volume control was gone. I tried to go into my control panel to use it, but I get an error that says:
"Windows cannot display the control volume on the taskbar because the Volume control program has not been installed. To install it use Add/Remove programs in Control Panel. »
I have lost my Windows XP disc in a move and can't reinstall the file to a disk, how to fix this?
When you use certain features sounds and Audio devices, you see a message like this:
Windows cannot display the control of volume on the taskbar because the Volume control program has not been installed. To install it use Add/Remove programs in Control Panel.
It seems that the c:\windows\system32\sndvol32.exe file is missing.
This may occur if your antivirus/antimalware application thinks the file is suspicious and quarantines (effectively delete) the file. You can replace the missing file with a backup copy of the file that is in another folder on your system.
Describe your current antivirus and software anti malware situation: McAfee, Symantec, Norton, Spybot, AVG, Avira!, MSE, Panda, Trend Micro, CA, Defender, ZoneAlarm, PC Tools, Comodo, etc..
Assuming that Windows is installed on your C drive...
We know that XP keeps copies of critical system files in the following folder:
c:\Windows\System32\dllcache
Using the Explorer, search for or navigate to the following folder:
c:\Windows\System32\dllcache
Locate the sndvol32.exe file, right-click, choose copy (it copies the file to the Windows Clipboard).
If your Solution Explorer settings are not set to display file extensions, you will see only a file called 'sndvol32' which has an icon that looks like to the volume control slider (this is the file you need).
If the file is missing in the dllcache folder, look for a copy of the file in this folder:
c:\windows\ServicePackFiles\i386
Browsing from a level in the following folder:
c:\Windows\System32
Right-click on an empty area in the window of c:\windows\system32 and choose Paste to paste in the missing file where it belongs.
Answered in the affirmative if invited to replace the existing file.
Now try your features sounds and Audio devices.
Note that run sfc/scannow will not replace the missing file because it is not this that sfc/scannow does.

Cannot set keyframes in the audio clip selected with the pen tool - cannot see even the line volume control more to set keyframes on having developed the clip. What could be the problem? I use the first CC pro @.
You can use the Ctrl key and then click with the regular selection tool, clicking with ctrl will make a new keyframe. in this way, have no need for the tools. CTRL has other great shortcuts that will stop you having to spend retouching pads tools too.
If the automation keyframe line is missing, you can switch on and off in the menu sequence.

The volume control has mind of its own
I have a HP1428 DV7 ca, Win 7 Home Prem 64 bit running. Recently my volume control seems to have achieved a clean mind. At first I thought it was related to HP MediaSmart, so I removed it. It stopped at the volume control bar to constantly and irregularly flashing on the screen. However, when I open the mixing table under windows I see that it is always very strange, the volume increases in fits and starts. None of the volume controls at the top of the keyboard do not work. The MediaSmart button stays on and the mute button is not the drawer of the volume control does not work either. I thought that removing MediaSmart and put it back in place, it should correct the problem, he didn't.
Thank you.
Hello
It may be a hardware problem with the band capacitive itself, but about the audio, try the following.
Download IDT Audio Installer on the link below and save it in your downloads folder.
http://ftp.HP.com/pub/SoftPaq/sp45001-45500/sp45073.exe
One time finished, open windows control panel, open Device Manager and open sound, video and game controllers. Right click on the IDT device and select uninstall - also, you should get a command prompt to delete the current driver, check the box to enable this and then proceed to uninstall.
When finished, restart the computer and let Windows load completely. Open your download folder, right-click on the IDT Installer and select "Run as Administrator" to launch the installation. Once this done, do a right-click the speaker icon in the taskbar and select playback devices. 'Speakers and headphones' left click once to highlight, and then click the Set Default button - check if you now audio.
The MediaSmart you make reference to the application's HP MediaSmart SmartMenu, which can be downloaded and installed from the link below - you must have at least a MediaSmart application installed before installing SmartMenu.
Kind regards

Volume control not in the system at boot tray
Good question? Mebbe. Driver issue? Mebbe.
When I restart the computer, the volume control is not in the system tray. If I go into Control Panel, see the volume control is checked. If I uncheck, click on apply, check and click on apply again, it seems.
I tried to remove the sound drivers and reinstall them but that did not help.
Any ideas?
Thank you.

Lost my Volume control program
It worked fine for years then it quit.
Lost my Volume control program - error below:
Windows cannot execute SndVol32.exe, use Add/Remove Programs Control Panel to installSeems to lack of sndvol32.exe and I don't know how to reinstall it or where. Some sounds still work, I checked all the settings, search the drivers updated, all ran diag tests.
In Control Panel under the icon 'sounds' Audio I select Add the "speaker" of the task bar icon and the error. When I click on any button volume (s) there, I have the same error. I use the default sounds. I noticed the chest upward and stop sounds are gone as well. Main issues seem to be under the tabs ' volume and audio. Ideas how to fix?
Put your XP CD in your drive, do not let it start. If so, cancel it. Then:
Start > run > type msconfig and press enter or click OK > click on extract file > in the upper area type in second sndvol32.exe point box to your CD/DVD drive where the disc XP is > third box type in c:\windows\system32 (assuming that is where your operating system is installed) > extract, overwrite if necessary > re-boot for good measure.
You should now have your controls of Volume/mixer back.
If you only restore discs while you will need to perform an Internet search for sndvol32.exe and go on the forums various one - sometimes people post copies of this file that you can download at the above address.
See you soon,.

Volume control causes trouble high priority thread
A few weeks ago, when I was finishing my "Flix" app and adjust the priorities of the threads, I noticed that the wire audio high priority interfered with the volume buttons of the PlayBook. Specifically, it could support you on a volume button and nothing would happen, at least not for a second or two. It was as if the priority of the audio thread was so high that it prevented the OS to respond to the pressure on the hardware button to the user.
This week, the behavior is quite different: the volume controls work fine, but as soon as you press on one of them, the audio wire starts to fight, and the audio gets all the "poppy/static ' y '.
The really strange thing is that even though the notification of change of volume disappears from the screen, the sound remains ' poppy/static ' y ', as if the volume permanently change event interferes with the audio wire.
I was wondering if the OS was lowering the priority of the thread on an event of volume change, but I think I have excluded that... when I ask the audio thread for its priority, remains at 63 before and after the events of volume change.
So it is obviously very confusing... How the hell a single volume change event could interfere with the audio thread of the application until the end of the execution of the application? (Even if the application gets a "break" due to need extra buffer audio and video, as soon as the audio continues, it is always static'y)
The other thing that may or may not be related, it's that last week my PlayBook prompted me that there is an update of the OS. The strange thing is that the version of the update seems to be exactly the same as the version of the operating system I had, and it was only 3 MB. I can't help but wonder if this is somehow related to the change of behavior that I see.
Any help would be most appreciated.
Thank you!
Daniel
I finally understood how to prevent the volume control to cause audio problems.
Here's the long answer:
-My app plays WAV files back to back. There was a slight "couture" in the audio that I tried to get rid of.
-A point I tried removed calls to snd_pcm_open and snd_mixer_open whenever a WAV file has been played, thinking that maybe something to do with the small gap in the audio.
-I didn't know at the time, but I think it's when editing of the volume begun resulting in distortions on the audio.
-Distortions are prevented by listening to events of volume change, and when it is received, ensure what I call snd_pcm_open and snd_mixer_open to the next WAV file playback.

Lost Windows 8 Volume control key
Windows 8 offers you at least 2 methods to restore the volume control key. They are 1) right-click on the icon in the right lower date/time in your toolbar. The volume control has a "start-stop" icon next to it. Don't forget that it's on. (A) I found this place and the Volume key is in the off position but will not click on. It seems to be frozen. Then 2) pass your 'settings', click on the 'Control Panel' and then click 'hardware and sound'. Here you have several options for searching on the parameters, but none of them work to reset the controller volume to my toolbar icon. then 3) restart your computer and the hope of a "reset" which will take place and restore factory settings. It did not work. (4) create a restore point (previous date) to reset your computer. This also failed. Nothing I have tried so far has worked. Now I am in a dilemma and did not have a next expected move.
It turned out that I had an another re-boot and this time she came back. I don't know why he did what he does, but he seems to be corrected at this time. I the inventory of your response for future reference and I appreciate your help. When I bought this computer, even if it was new, I think it was a returned model as part of the windows 8 information had been removed. It took Rep. Windows nearly an hour to restore my computer objects that had been deleted. Anyway, everything is good now and we'll see how things respond in the future. Mahalo again for your answer.

Re: Satellite P200-123 volume control wheel
Is it a mechanical or software driven command?
If I turn the wheeel 'up' the volume sometimes breaks down? It doesn't seem to be a 'stop' on the wheel.
All tips are welcome
Thank you
Hello
the volume control of the Satellite P200 is a software engine, so it has no physical stop like on older machines, which means that there are some disadvantages about the time to change the flight and the reaction control.
Don t ask me why they have implemented this software wheel-driven, but each new series of machines there and it s predictable that they will stay with this technique...You work quietly with the steering wheel to avoid such phenomena as spin the wheel 'up', but the volume down.
I have the same on my Tecra S5 and it drives me crazy sometimes, but I have to live with it...Welcome them

Satellite U300 - strange problem with volume control wheel
I bought a U300 last week and I find that the volume control wheel doesn't move very easily. It seems that you have to push it slightly to adjust the volume, and when you release your finger, the volume goes in the direction you moved to slowly. Everyone knows this?
In addition, when pressures above the express card slot the housing compresses. This happens on all the U300s?
I would go back to the store I bought in and ask, but I live quite some distance from him so I thought I'd see if anyone here could help first. All responded very appreciated.
Thank you.
Hello
Looks like the wheel is stuck and something around the wheel blocks the volume wheel. I think the best idea is to return the machine as you said, since it s very unusual described what you´ve.
You can also send your machine to a service partner chartered for an assessment of health/repair of equipment.
If you need help to find the one closest to your country, you can use the following link to find some:http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/cgi-bin/ToshibaCSG/generic_content.jsp?service=EU&ID=ASP_SUPPORT
Good luck, welcome and good weekend
