Japanese IME by default, Windows 8

I use Japanese IME entries, but when I first switch to him Eng he goes to Direct Input, which is kind of useless, I have to type ALT + ~ go Hiragana each time; It would be convenient to have go default Hiragana.

In addition, whenever I go to windows, he returned to direct entry, no matter what it was the last time I was in this window. Is there a way to change this default as well?

Thank you, Darin

  • Keyboard Windows 7 Japanese IME

    Hello

When you use Microsoft IME for input in Japanese IME by default Japanese keyboard even if I use a UK keyboard.

For example the @ and "are bad round.

I know that other keyboards can be chosen under the Japanese language however choose something else that Microsoft IME translates the impossibility of Japanese input.

So... the EMI must be used.  How the layout can be changed in Microsoft IME?

This problem existed in Vista and XP.  In fact, the last time I remember being able to use a keyboard on a Japanes EMI UK was Windows 98!  All the same so it was somewhat a solution are wrong to operate.

    Any ideas?  :-)

    Hello

I recently move to Windows 7. I tried the above solution but it fixed is not the issue. My Japanese keyboard Sony Notebook still have the @ on the wrong key. Any other suggestions?

    TOPFORM,

Can you check something: Start > Accessories > easy access > on-screen keyboard (it will show keyboard on your screen) > click on it shift and see what character will be highlighted more than 2, is [@] or perhaps ["]?

    ...

Other things. I understand that you have installed the two layouts for the Japanese: Japanese and EMI. Alternatively, you can try to add the English keyboard and see how it will behave: Start > Control Panel > clock, language and region > Change keyboards or other input methods > Change keyboards... button > Add... button > expand English (United States) > expand keyboards > check United States International > OK > OK . Now try to open Notepad, select EN from the language bar on the taskbar and try to write [@] with an English keyboard

    ...

I also have the question. It's a Windows 7 preinstalled. It is possible that you have an application running in the background that can change the character you're trying to type?

  • Can't type correctly with Japanese IME on the English English keyboard/windows 7

Hello, I have a problem with Windows 7 Home Premium English on the English keyboard when entering Japanese with IME.

No, I shouldn't need the Ultimate edition: with Windows Vista and XP Home Edition Premium or equivalent editions, it was not a problem.

With Windows 7 IME, the keyboard seems to be linked to the Japanese keyboard.
For example, if you type [Shift] + [2].
    -English keyboard return [@]
-Japanese keyboard return [""] (double quote)

I physically have an English keyboard with my PC, and I get ["] when I actually meant to type [@].

As I mentioned, it was perfectly fine with XP or Vista, type with Japanese IME and the English keyboard layout. How to make the setting even with Windows 7?

Here's how I solved the problem, but I do recommend not really - MS should distribute a fix to fix.

    1. open the registry editor.

    2. go to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services\i8042prt\Parameters

    3. change the value of LayerDriver JPN kbd101.dll to kbd106.dll

    4. change the value of OverrideKeyboardIdentifier from PCAT_106KEY to PCAT_101KEY

5 change the value from 2 to 0 OverrideKeyboardSubtype

    6. close the registry editor and restart Windows.

As usual, please edit the registry at your own risk.

  • Spectrum x 360: physical keyboard and Japanese IME

    Hi all

It is the first time that I post on this forum and I thank in advance those who would come here to help.

I suspect that my problem is very special, if not unique. In fact, after a few days of digging through the internet, I have not found a single reference to my problem, it is:

my hardware keyboard is Italian, but I often need to write in Japanese, so I installed the Japanese language and the Japanese IME input mode. But for the life of me I can't have the physical keyboard to type Japanese characters. Japanese IME is active, the romaji entry appears, and that's all. I can't go to the katakana or hiragana input.

If I try to open the Windows IME options this opens a second and shut (as it had crashed).

Same behavior when I try to access these options from the control panel. I tried to uninstall and reinstall 2 or 3 times without success.

In any case, the touch keyboard works perfectly with the Japanese IME. I can get into any kind of Japanese characters.

What can I do to type in Japanese also on the physical keyboard?

I solved it by installing ATOK2015 input method. It is a proprietary application that serves as an alternative to Windows Japanese IME. Then by chance, I put the Japanese system and Windows locale IME started working too. Anyway now I use ATOK (much better), so I don't care anymore.

I thank very you much for your time and your efforts.

Keep up the good work. I really appreciate the spectrum of x 360. It is the best laptop I've ever seen.

    Hi kotch,.

To type text in languages based on characters, Chinese and Japanese, for example your computer, follow these steps:

    1. open regional and Language Options by clicking the Start button, click Control Panel, click clock, language, and region, and then click regional and Language Options.

    2. click on the tab keyboards and languages and then click Change keyboards.

    3. under installed services, click Add.

    4. double-click on the Japanese (Japan), you want to add, double-click text services, that you want to add, select the text services options you want to add, and then click OK.

If you are not able to find it then you must install the Japanese language pack from the link below.

In Internet Explorer 7 on a Windows Vista-based computer, you cannot enter the user-defined words that are added to the Microsoft IME user dictionary

  • In Vista, lost the Japanese IME icon in the taskbar

I used the cleaner software to help you get rid of the junk in my VIsta system and I lost my Japanese IME icon in the taskbar. I went to the regional settings deleted IME and put them again, I changed the regional language with no luck... Why can't download us MS software directly? It makes no sense to not be able to reinstall! * _ * What should I do then?

    Hello

    Run the sfc/scannow command.

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929833

Use the (SFC.exe) System File Checker tool to determine which file is causing the problem and then replace the file. To do this, follow these steps:

    1. Open an elevated command prompt. To do this, click Start, click principally madeprograms,Accessories, right-clickguest, and then clickrun as administrator. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or clickallow.
    2. Type the following command and press ENTER:
      sfc/scannow

The sfc/scannow command analyzes all protected system files and replaces incorrect versions with appropriate Microsoft versions

If SFC cannot repair it, you can borrow a Microsoft dvd vista not an acer, HP etc. recovery disk and do a repair installation

read the below tutorial on how to perform a repair installation

    http://www.Vistax64.com/tutorials/88236-repair-install-Vista.html

or try a restore of the system before this happened

    http://www.windowsvistauserguide.com/system_restore.htm

If necessary do in safe mode

    Windows Vista

    Using the F8 method:

    1. Restart your computer.

  • Problems with the Japanese IME

I have installed the Japanese IME on windows 8 on a week, then suddenly yesterday, it has stopped working, and instead he just started displaying Chinese radicals instead of Katakana and Hirangana. I tried to re - install, but it did not help.

    Hello

Please answer a few questions, so that we can diagnose this problem properly:

    1. what is the make and model of the computer?

2 you receive error messages or codes?

3 did you do changes on the computer before this problem?

Since you've already tried to reinstall the EMI, let us check if the problem occurs in Safe Mode and the clean boot.

Method 1: Start the computer in Mode safe.

Safe mode is an option of troubleshooting for Windows that starts your computer in a limited State. Only basic files and drivers needed to run Windows are started.

Follow the link below to learn how to do it.

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-8/Windows-startup-settings-including-safe-mode

Method 2: Run the clean boot.

To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a clean boot. A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts. Here is the link for your reference perform the clean boot:

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135

Note: Please refer to the section: How to reset the computer to start as usual after a clean boot troubleshooting the KB article to start the computer to a normal startup after you fix the problem.

Please get back to us with the State of the question.

When it shows (IE made above the menu default windows) its being covered by the menu default windows taskbar.

    The Firefox window is maximized?

Have you tried to resize the Firefox window?

You can also change the properties of the taskbar of Windows via the context menu to either hide or disable always on top.

  • Context change default window

A user of my application complains that the default context window makes no sense for him. I agree that it does not sese to a user of an application. Is there a way to change this?

I opened the window context when the application opens.

    Default window is below.

Well, what I ended up doing was creating a case of event that will open the context menu of the first (and only the first) times a user will fly over a control on the façade - instead of open the context menu on the application startup. Given that the mouse is on a default context window control is avoided. Still a bit klunky in code, but it works. I'm not real happy with it, so if anyone has a more elegant solution.

Here is a snippit of code on the block diagram.
