Java deployment toolkit is disabled permanently. How to remove?

The plugin is listed in the list of addons, but as a disability is permanent, then it is useless to have. I'm either incompetent (unlikely, IMHO) or there seems to be no way to delete just, which is what I want to do.

So, please, how to remove this plugin, or, if it has actually been deleted, the inclusion of it in the addons list?

Because she is disabled, I can't access to remove via any inherent uninstall feature that may have the JDK.

Went looking for something maybe even better and I found this:

I don't have Java installed on any of my systems, but the following should work again to remove Java Deployment Toolkit on Windows systems. This method removes only the JDK plugin and only in Firefox. You may need to do this after each update because Java always reinstalled JDK with each update. You may need to delete the file with Firefox closed or you may need to restart Firefox after the deletion to see the change/remove in your list of plugins in Modules > Plugins.

  • Java Deployment Toolkit

FF has blocked Flash Player and Java. I've updated all of the two latest versions BUT Java Deployment Toolkit 8.0.510.16 11.51.2.16 is still blocked and may not be active (or apparently being updated). The option 'request to enable' is selected, but does nothing.

The tool uninstalling of Java and the check Java applet uses the Java DT to make detection of Java version on the user's system. If Java DT is blocked by the browser (such as Firefox) that these applets will not run. In order to run these applets must allow Java DT for run in browsers. »

So, there is a Catch 22. He must run himself to uninstall, but it may not. How this can be solved?

As an additional comment - flash and Java in MS IE - which is considered less safe. Mozilla require people to use a lower quality product.

Thanks for the suggestions theshine and jscher2000.
Not sure I should just mark this as RESOLVED, given my reluctant IE solution.
    Respectively...
As noted above, I don't have to uninstall/reinstall Java (confirmed two rural businesses are up-to-date). And my record was recently revised by Ccleaner.
The FF for Java DT module is set on 'request to activate' but on the page, there is just a circle with a cross and "this plug-in is disabled. Manage to take me plug-ins add-ons "Always enable" page where is grayed out.
Make a right click on the page does not produce a menu 'page '. But it is visible via, tools, Page Info, permissions - where everything is set by default.
HOWEVER, with a Oh! While the initial question is always sound/valid, I was be fooled into thinking that the problem (with a page in particular) was Java DT - which, as I can not activate to uninstall. Plug-ins management always seemed to take me to this app that has been highlighted. BUT the real problem with the Flash plug-ins web page disabled. Page once this feature is enabled. Hey ho.

  • Why doesn't Java Deployment Toolkit (click-to-play) is blocked, as the referenced bug is closed and there is no security problem not known in Version 7 U51?

In my view, it is important to block insecure addons. But if you do it should be an open bug assigened. The bug referenced to this add-on is already resolved, so I do not know why this plugin is disabled. https://Bugzilla.Mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=636633

I have the problem that I want to use Secure_Auth that uses the Deployment Kit Java of nasty (via javascript) way that firefox does not see the deployment kit must be started. This is why I have not expected this plugin still for this web site. Since there is no available documentation how to do this configuration in a config file that I'm stuck at the moment.

I'm a little surprised liitle which blocks all versions (same secure versions) is a way to get a good user experience.

    Concerning

    Martin

    MG_DAU,

Why do you think that the problem is caused by the block of Java Deployment Toolkit, not Java itself? See http://www.java.com/en/download/faq/deployment_toolkit.xml and this document I found with a google search:

For general information on the use of Java on trusted sites, see:

  • Why Firefox always tell me that it blocks Java Deployment Toolkit after that I did the update?

On the page Web 'Mozilla - check your Plugins', I was told that the 'Java Deployment Toolkit' was vulnerable. So I did the update. But then, I got the same problem still. Why? And should I care?

    Please see the attached screenshot.

The most funny thing is... I visited two sites that use Java, being Java.com, but I haven't seen the black banner of the blocking message.

The Java Deployment Toolkit can be the most recent version, but Oracle has not yet fixed the vulnerabilities with this plugin; so Mozilla still there on the red list and point require the user to use "Request enable" to deactivate it. A 'soft-block' - can be used if needed, but needs user by implementing action.

More specifically, do you have a program on your PC that is really needed as Deployment Toolkit?
Or is your concern that simply that it is disabled after update of Java?

Very few applications consumer even uses this Deployment Toolkit, aimed at people who develop Java applications or applications such as the various Oracle programs in the workplace.

Back to before Oracle acquired Sun Java systems in 2010, this Deployment Toolkit has not been installed with the runtime environment Java for users. Java developers needed to install a separate developers Toolbox for this Plugin - had the SDK program.

  • What it means? : Enable Java Deployment Toolkit. This plugin (?) known vulnerabilities. »

I've updated laptop WinXP my wife Firefox 24 last night and as soon as she tried to launch RuneScape (runescape.com) the above message appears in a window. (I don't remember the exact wording.) On the one hand, it seems to be telling him to activate something. On the other hand it seems say don't turn it on. How she or I should respond to this message?

Do not confuse the Java plugin that runs applets and plugin Java Deployment Toolkit, which is useful for Java developers, but is not necessary for normal users.

The Java plugin is not meant to run in a process of plugin-container, so setting the pref dom.ipc.plugins.java.enabled true is not recommended and the best is to leave this pref to false by default value.

  • In the reactivation of Java suggest allowing the add-on (in my case Java Deployment Toolkit 6.0.340.4) isn't that an old man?

In regards to your opinion on "old versions of Java were blocked - updated and unlock Java" to
    http://support.Mozilla.org/en-us/KB/update-and-unblock-Java

In the Java section re-conducive to the list point 3, you declare:

    My question is:
The item is listed in the Add-ons like Java Deployment Toolkit 6.0.340.4 Manager (disabled) 6.0.340.4
These are the numbers that concern me. I are enabling the latest version of Java, or an old one?

  • FireFox | Error / vulnerable. Shockwave Flash 9.0.45.0 and problem Java Deployment Toolkit!

Intro | Hello I am new to this support Web site for fire fox, never thought I already needed to sign up because most of the time things are going well and if I run into a problem, I can take care of it most of the time by myself.

If I need a hand I ask some co-working/colleagues/friends or family. But this situation has stunned me. I can't understand what is the problem, at least not exactly.

Problem | This only happened for a few days and I kinda ignored initially because I was a little busier than usual because of the holidays.

However I finally had the time to check these errors and I can usually figure things out myself and make things happen in a day, but my mind is hazy right now begin to understand what is happening here.

Now, according to my research, I have two 2 vulnerable plugins. The Java and Adobe flash. Two of them appear as red alerts.

    • Shockwave Flash 9.0 r45
    • Deploy Script NPRuntime plugin Library for Java (TM)

^ These are the culprits who have caused me problems with my recent adobe flash related tasks crashing or getting strange errors.

The thing I find strange about this is that I also have the latest version and updated to adobe flash installed next to this outdated relic of a forger.

  • How to remove unwanted plugins (and no I don't want to read all the articles unrelated who never answer your question)?

I want to erase the unwanted plugins in Fire Fox. A plugin has even a warning about its use does not (Java Deployment Toolkit). But every time I ask 'how to remove a plugin?', I get redirected to an article that does not answer the question. And then the cycle starts again without ever actually answer the question.

IT IS NECESSARY TO UNINSTALL FIREFOX TO DELETE A PLUGIN?

Hello 4646tm, I understand your frustration. Here's how to remove a plugin:
Click the menu and then click on Add ons, which looks like a piece of a puzzle.

Type about:plugins into the Location bar and press Enter to display the About Plugins page.
Each entry in the About Plugins page will have "File:" and "Path:", showing the name and location of the plugin file. Use Windows Explorer to navigate to the folder shown for the plugin you want to remove.
Rename the file to add an X in front of the filename (for instance, npswf32 becomes Xnpswf32).

You said that you do not want links, but I'll give you a couple just in case you do not want to uninstall the plugins manually. These links are to pages that tell you how to run the uninstall it please do not hesitate to tell me if you think that they are not useful.

    Uninstall Adobe Flash - Windows

    Uninstall QuickTime - Windows Vista/7

    Follow the instructions:
Download Microsoft Silverlight (instructions to uninstall also)

I just put a couple of the most common out there, if you have a specific plugin you don't want it please tell me and I can dig to the top of the page for it, also you can do manual uninstall I gave you.

    Have a great day!

How to disable permanently the spell check in Notes?

    Here are my steps:

    1. With the help of Notes in OS X 10.11.5, click Edit/spelling and grammar and then clearly the 2 options "check spelling as you type" and "automatically correct spelling."
    2. Close and re - open Notes.

    What I expected:

only the two options "check spelling as you type" and "automatically correct spelling" is always disabled when Notes is reopened

    In fact:

the two options "check spelling as you type" and "automatically correct spelling" is enabled once more

There is Nothing to "remove, disable or close. "System Idle.
Process' is not at all no problem. 'Rest' means not "in use." It's
just the name for the system when it does not
whatever it is. It is there just to make the total adding up to 100%.

If you see reading of 70 to 99%, so that means you actually use
only 1% to 30%. This is quite normal. Nothing to worry about.

You can always reinstall Java and then uninstall it again.  With the help of administrator privileges where possible.  See if you can then adapt them to any installer or uninstaller.exe?

Have you tried right clicking on the shortcut to the program or the .exe and select "Run As Administrator"?  Perform, even if your user name is an administrator.

Try right click on the actual Setup.exe and choosing the option "Run As Administrator"?  Perform, even if your user name is an administrator.

If you cannot use the above, and then enable the built-in administrator perform this work.  Disable the built-in administrator when you are finished.  The built-in administrator has more privileges than your own user name, even if you are an administrator.

You can not. However, I'm not sure why you think it's a privacy or security threat. The only thing that can be accessed without unlocking the phone is the camera to take pictures. No one can access your data already on the phone.
