Java for Palm

I wonder if it is illegal to download and use Java for my TX. I know that Palm does not support, but it means I can't use it if I find another place to download, such as http://www.palminfocenter.com/news/7769/five-tips-to-improve-the-palm-blazer-browser/ (down)? One of the reasons why I want to use it would be I can use Opera Mini (http://www.operamini.com/).

Any input appreciated

No, it is not illegal to use it.  It was freely given.

  • 64 bit Windows7/8/8.1/10 USB drivers for Palm Desktop

Thank you people much more to Aceeca.com (Palm OS Garnet NEW manufacturers), the USB drivers for Vista, Windows 7 and 8 Win 64 bit operating systems are available.  There are many users Palm Desktop 4.x strives also to the declaration.

I have synced my TX my Vista64 laptop computer bits and Windows 8.1 HP spectrum X 2 hybrid successfully through my USB cable.

    The drivers are located here:

    Aceeca Driver Downloads

(NOTE: as of today, 01/08/2016 Aceeca site to be down for 'construction'.)  Drivers can also be found here: http://www.palmdr.com/windows-7-64-bit-usb-drivers)

Installation instructions for Windows 7 (from Aceeca) are included in the download.

    Basic instructions:

1 download the drivers and extract them in the same folder.  Remember the folder that you extracted to.

    2. try to HotSync your device.  It will fail.

    3. open the Device Manager and look for the yellow Triangle next to the other "Acceca" or "'Palm device ' in the"Other devices"section."

    4. right click on the device and choose "Update driver software".

    5. choose "Browse my computer for software" and guide them to the folder that you extracted the drivers Aceeca.

6 choose 'Next' in the driver and then file location window tell him 'Confidence always Aceeca Ltd. software', then click on the button "install".

    7. I received an error message (Vista64) who told me "the drivers have been installed, but the device could not be opened." I realized my TX had expired, and fell asleep.  I tried a HotSync and it worked!

    Good luck!

NOTE: Palm Desktop 6.22 may only multimedia show and install.  Here's how to fix this:

If Palm Desktop 6.2.2 shows only the media and installation, try this: right click on the shortcut for Palm Desktop, and then choose 'run as administrator '.  Other modules should appear.

To Palm Desktop run as administrator every time in Windows 8 / 8.1:

Close to Palm Desktop, if it is open.  (This is a very important thing to do when you use 6.2.2 - it has been known to lose data when a computer is shut down without closing the program!)

Right click on the desktop icon of Palm in the metro screen, then choose "open file location".  You will now see the actual file for the shortcut.

Right-click on the file "Palm Desktop" shortcut, then properties.  Now, choose the tab compatibility at the top.

At the bottom of the Compatibility tab is a checkbox: "run this program as an administrator", click OK.

Try to open the Palm Desktop, all parties must appear.  You can see a box opens when you close the program asking "did the program runs correctly.   I chose 'Yes', and it has been working fine since then!

If you are using a much older PalmOS device and try using Palm Desktop 4.x, you will need this additional patch Pimlico Software:

"After you try your first HotSync and failing (as expected) you may be unable to find any trace of the device in Device Manager, making the next step very difficult. It is me, and after some research, I discovered the following trick that allows Device Manager to display hidden and devices not present.

Open Notepad and paste the following two lines are:

    Set DEVMGR_SHOW_NONPRESENT_DEVICES = 1
    Start devmgmt.msc

Save it as SetDev.bat in My Documents.

Open My Documents in Windows Explorer and double-click SetDev.bat. Device Manager opens.

On the view menu, select Show hidden devices.

You can now see in the other position of the device with a yellow triangle against it.

You can now proceed to install the drivers according to the instructions.

Note that the driver supports most versions of Palm OS. "I actually use an Aceeca Meazura 1000 rugged PDA running OS 4.1 - bobboffin.

    I hope this helps!

There are no more recent version of Adobe Reader for Palm.  You search for a freeware called PalmPDF application.  Otherwise, a more recent version of Documents To Go will also read apps native .pdf without going through the conversion process used by Adobe Reader for Palm.

    Hi Tonya,
After researching this issue, we have found a response., but it does not enter into your registry and delete some entries. Let me say that I advise rarely enter the registry, do nothing in there other than what is stated below, it can really blow your system!
OK, the problem seems to be that basically even if Java is not installed, there are entries in the registry. Follow these steps:
    1. click on start, go in run and type Regedit which should open your registry database.
There are two entrances, we are looking for...
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\JavaSoft\Java runtime environment
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\wow6432node\JavaSoft\Java runtime environment
2 remove both entries and then click file, and then exit.
    3. reboot the system
    4. install Java

    Hope that helps,

One of the evangelists 'Developer' RIM working outside South Africa, I think, so there should be someone local you can talk too.  If you message Mark Sohm (the RIM name you will see a lot on the forum - MSohm), with your e-mail address and it ask to put you in contact with the Developer Evangelist in SA, which should help.  You can tell Mark to ask me if he needs clarification.  Do not promise anything either but I hope that something will happen.

  • Java for Windows 7 (64-bit)

How can I download (64-bit) Java for my Windows 7 Home Premium (64 bit)?

    Thank you.

No, the 256 Bit is not architecture, it's just the encryption used by the browser to keep your transactions on the web private and safe. So when you buy a property for a Web site, it cannot be compromised. I know it can be confusing.

I recommend using the 32-bit version of Internet Explorer 9 since most Add ons works with this version. To make sure you are using the 32-bit version, follow these steps:

Click Start > all programs > click Internet Explorer (one who is not listed as 64-bit)

  • The Tungsten T3 for Palm Pre data migration

    Hello

I am the owner of a Palm Tungsten T3. I have a lot of contacts, calendar, tasks and Memo data in I want to migrate my new Palm Pre. I saw Palm information on how to move the data from Palm Desktop for the pre, using the data transfer Assistant (DTA). However, it seems to work for Palm Desktop v6.2. T3 is not compatible with v6.2, being the latest sw version v4.1.4.e.

When I launched DTA, I got an error. I tried several things and looked in the forums, but only to find tips for v6.2. In the end, I decided to upgrade to v6.2 in my Windows XP, but I skipped stage of synchronization with my camera (such as the T3 is not compatible). Then I run the DTA. This time, I got to the step when it asked me to connect my pre as a USB key. But after that, he tells me that Palm Desktop is installed, but contains no data to transfer. However, I can see my data in the desktop. My guess is that I could solve the problem if I could synchronize with a PDA compatible.

Can someone give me a hint on how to transfer data to my pre of my T3? Is this possible at all?

    Thank you

You will not be the Tungsten T3 or the Palm Desktop 6.22 Pre - synchronization you will use as a vehicle to move the data into your pre.  I suggest that you use the command Export of Palm Desktop 4.1.4e for export data PIM (Contacts, calendar, tasks and Memos) out as a file in comma-delimited (.csv) as a backup before installing Palm Desktop 6.22 as the data upgrade process can not be cancelled.  If you need to go back to Palm Desktop 4.x and do not have a backup, you will be out of luck.

After you have backed up your data, I upgrade to Palm Desktop 6.22, DTA can migrate your data in the meadow and then synchronize the Pre with a Google account to access e-mail and calendar.

To fix your data problem in the second part of your post, you can try to install free third-party utility, PalmHotSyncSetup.  This changes the Windows for Palm Desktop registry keys so that he could support the older devices like the Tungsten T3.  You can download PalmDesktopHotSyncSetup from Pimlico Software Web site.

    Hope that helps,

  • Cannot find 7u72 Java for Linux 32 bit

I downloaded both jre and the jdk 7u72 Java for 32-bit Linux from here: (Java Archive downloads - Java SE 7), but when I unzip and unpack, and run java-version, he says that it is version 7u65.

How can I get Java for Linux 32-bit 7u72?

Are you sure that you are calling the correct 'java' executable (try 'which java' and check your PATH environment variable)?

    I downloaded jre-7u72-linux - http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/downloads/java-archive-downloads-javase7-521261.html#jre-7u72-oth-JPR i586.tar.gz

(for some reason it was downloaded with the extension '.gz', not '. ') tar.gz') and it is the correct version:

    $ mv jre-7u72-linux-i586.gz jre-7u72-linux-i586.tar.gz
    $ tar xvzf jre-7u72-linux-i586.tar.gz

  • eReader Pro for Palm OS

Can I use the "eReader Pro for Palm OS" on my new PRE (Sprint). It is currently running Palm webOS 1.1.0 build 143.

Of http://www.ereader.com/ereader/software/product/15003_pro_palm.htm> we don't know how to install it on the PDA.

    Thanx

Hello guffsprint1, welcome to the Palm support community!

Your pre running a different operating system of PalmOS - it works "webOS".   The download does not work on a meadow.

There is a demand for the sale to emulate an older Palm device, called a company called Motion Apps ' classic'.  It is available via the App Store.  I have no information of how eReader works with this application.

Personally, I'd wait for a version of eReader webOS to evolve, but the choice is yours.  There is no timetable for a version of eReader.

Yes you are right, and referring to the document correct when it come to the installation of JRE to vRA is a sine qua non for IaaS, so as it can support the deployment of MS SQL, so we need to install java on the machine hosting the web component rather than the external machine working with MS SQL.
