  • Need to install Java SE 6 Runtime in order to run Mac OS Yosemite Illustrator?  But it is not available anywhere?

    Hello

Can someone help me with this?  I upgraded to Yosemite, and now I can't launch Illustrator because it says that I need Java SE 6 runtime to open it.  But this version isn't available everywhere, not on Apple's site, not Oracle.  I installed the latest version of Java, but it does not solve the problem.  Apparently of Illustrator (and I assume that all creative cloud applications) require version 6?  Any contribution is appreciated, it's SO frustrating...

    This works.

    use another browser and/or connection.

  • CS4 not running on Yosemite - requiring Java SE 6 runtime, but I have Java 8. Help?

You try to run CS4 (Illustrator and Photoshop) on the latest version of Yosemite, but whenever I try to start one of the programs I get this error message: "to open Adobe Illustrator CS4, you must install the Java SE 6 runtime inheritance." I am running the latest version of Java; What should I do?

I found the previous threads dealing with this problem; the open-photoshop-first solution to workaround seems to work... Is there a way around it, or who is the only one at the present time?

  • PS CS5 asks me to install the Java SE 6 runtime?

I just bought a new macbook pro and have migrated to the version of PS that I own, which is CS5.

It does not work on the new macbook pro... it asks me to download the Java SE 6 runtime...

The Apple tech Lady says, don't download Java version... it's an old version with many holes...

I tried to download the LATEST version of Java, but the PS is not yet opening and always ask for Java SE 6 runtime.

    What should I do?

While the need for Java 6 has been all but eliminated in the CC apps (I think that Dreamweaver is the only one who still looking), CS6 and old versions still need installed.

    You can get it here.

Java 6 is connecting himself to any browser, so there is no problem of security of the activation of Java in your web browser.

    Hello

    Try this:

    • Download Java for Mac OS X 2014-001 http://support.apple.com/kb/dl1572.

    • Install the update of Java by using the downloaded .dmg file.

When the installation is complete, a software update dialog box appears. The dialog box says that Java SE 6 Runtime is required to run Adobe Illustrator CS6.

    • In the software update dialog box, click install.

    • Launch of Illustrator.

In Adobe Illustrator CS6 some plug-ins a dependency on Java, Java is required so that they work correctly.

  • Dreamweaver and Java SE 6 Runtime problem on MAC OSX Mountain Lion

I have a problem with dreamweaver. I really love dreamweaver for creating web pages and have used it for years with a PC.  I recently switched from a PC to a MAC, but I find that when I open the Dreamweaver application for the first time that I get a prompt that displays something like "you need to download Java SE 6 runtime, you want to install it now?   I click Yes, and the download fails.  I called Apple about it, they said that the software is on the Oracle Java web site and sound out of their control.  I go on the site web Oracle Java he says "Apple provides their version of Java SE 6 runtime and there is no way to download it from the Java.com website.  This means that YOUR software does not work on my MAC, because the two companies could not agree on which suppies this software.

What I need to know, is HOW can I GET of DREAMWEAVER TO RUN?  How can I get around this crazy * catch 22 situation?  And why the software does not recognize Java SE 7 runtime?

    She found!

Download the file and install. It installs the Java SE 6 11 update (version 1.6.0_37).

Dreamweaver fires right up! Safari firm to complain as well.

I'll see if I successfully update for Java SE 7, now that I've found six.

If this test fails, I found this link to dig me back out of it: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5559?viewlocale=en_US.

UPDATE: installed Java SE 7 udpate 9 and it worked. The application of preferences Java under Utilities, shows that SE 6 is always installed. So, I think that this version is used to run locally on the system.

I followed the suggestion of MHOLLIS55 and got my Mac as well.
