JDBC GlassFish

Hello.

JDeveloper 12.1.3.0.0

Essentials of the ADF.

In order to create a Glassfish connection pool, I downloaded a 'ojdbc6.jar"to the catalog lib/ext jdbc driver.

But when I insert a jsf page I get an error:

java.lang.SecurityException: sealing violation: oracle.jdbc package is sealed

I understand means that there are 2 files jdbc that is not allowed.

If I remove the file I think it's 'other' (lib/ojdbc6dms.jar) loads pages with:

java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: oracle/jdbc/OracleData

What is the correct configuration?

Best regards

Erik

The error may not be due jar jdbc duplicate. Upgrade to ojdbc5.jar as suggested

  • Performance (listener APEX) glassFish and ADR issues

    Hello world

    We have a number of applications available APEX to APEX Listener installed on 4.1 GlassFish (Open Source Edition). The APEX is version 2.0.9.224.01.07.

    Any installation is using the default values, the documentation available now.

    The problem is that after a while (two days, maybe weeks) the answer is really slow, which means you have to wait a few minutes to change pages or get the application to react. While everything works normally by another instance of GlassFish and auditor of the APEX, which means that everything is ok with the database and the problem must be with the GlassFish and/or listener of the APEX. After you restart GlassFish domain things to improve for a while, but finally that we are facing problems of performance even. There is nothing suspicious in the newspapers of GlassFish, and we do not know where to look further.

    I tried the web search for more information on how to configure GlassFish and APEX listener for the documentation and production environments, but did not find much. We increased settings memory JVM for GlassFish to 2 GB, but I would like to know is there something else about the GlassFish settings (son HTTP, JDBC, pool etc.) we could do to avoid the problems described, or is there a way to detect what is the real problem. Any suggestions or pointers to relevant documents?

    Thanks in advance,

    For ADR + Glassfish performance should be on two fronts:

    • Side of GlassFish:

    As you use 4.1 GlassFish (Open Source Edition) you should refer to the official documentation for Glassfish 4.

    Reference: https://glassfish.java.net/docs/4.0/performance-tuning-guide.pdf

    But as I've used Oracle Glassfish Server 3.1 which comes with the integrated tuner. I just follow the following documentation:

    Reference: https://docs.oracle.com/cd/E18930_01/html/821-2431/toc.html and https://docs.oracle.com/cd/E18930_01/html/821-2431/gkxwm.html

    • Side of ADR:

    The performance tuning side ADR includes the correct JDBC settings in the ADR configuration files.

    Reference: http://krisrice.blogspot.in/2012/05/apex-listener-jdbcsecurity-setup.html

    So, set your ADR for instance so that you get the performance you want. For this you will need: change the JDBC settings-> load/stress test and repeat this operation.

    Stress/load tests is shown by Morten Bråten in the following blog in his blog series about ADR.

    Reference: ORA-00001: Unique constraint violated: ADR, installation Oracle XE and Apex on CentOS - part fourth: Stress tests

    NOTE: This blog is for ADR + Apache Tomcat, but ADR configuration settings remain the same in your case.

    Finally, if you want to see more practical best ADR with Oracle APEX follow the slides for "ADR in the Production" by Dietmar Aust.

    Reference: daust_de: Oracle XE / APEX: presentation for my ADR slides talk to KScope 2015

    NOTE: This presentation is also to ADR + Apache Tomcat, but things related to ADR are same in your case.

    Also, as this thread is related to ADR, you must move this thread to the appropriate forum: ADR, SODA & JSON in the database

    Hi Nils

    12.1.3 WebLogic jdbc libraries are located in the MW_HOME/oracle_common/modules/oracle.jdbc_12.1.0 directory level.

    For this WLS jdbc driver is ojdbc7.jar which is loaded on startup of WLS.

    As mentioned on the post preceding this is is not compatible with the 11.1.1.7.3 MapViewer to display the ORDIMAGE. Seems that even the ojdbc6.jar that exists in this directory cannot be used.

    What to do is make the WLS Server uses the ojdbc6.jar for 11.1.1.7.3. There are different ways to use a different pot in WebLogic.

    This page http://docs.oracle.com/middleware/1212/wls/JDBCA/third_party_drivers.htm was noted in this regard.

    As a quick test, you can try to make the ORDIMAGE with the following steps;

    (1) on page MapViewer OTN, Oracle Fusion Middleware MapViewer access downloads and download the quick start for the 11.1.1.7.3 Version.

    You will find the glassfish3/glassfish/domains/Domain1/lib folder a file jdbc ojdbc6.jar.

    (2) on your installation of a WebLogic domain:

    Navigate to the oracle_common/modules/oracle.jdbc_12.1.0 directory

    make a backup of ojdbc7.jar

    copy the ojdbc6.jar on top of ojdbc7.jar

    (3) start Weblogic server and try to make your theme ORDIMAGE.

    As I mentioned before, there are different ways to add a jar to WebLogic classpath. The quick test above is just replace the original ojdbc7.jar in a facility that is not good, as you lose you original ojdbc7.jar.

    Best regards.

    It is the root cause of your problem.

    The pool of the apex in ADR corresponds to the APEX_PUBLIC_USER database, and it is not properly configured.

    Log on to sqlplus with the SYS user prompt and SYSDBA privileges and run the following query:

    select username
        , account_status
        , profile
      from dba_users
    where username in ('APEX_PUBLIC_USER','APEX_LISTENER','APEX_REST_PUBLIC_USER');

    If account is LOCKED, EXPIRED, etc. then unlock the accounts of users, for example:

    ALTER USER APEX_PUBLIC_USER IDENTIFIED BY  ACCOUNT UNLOCK;

    Throw/remove the current configuration of the ADR and re - configure ords.war/apex.war with correct password for users. Re-deploy to Glassfish Server.

  • Advantages and disadvantages of the JDBC Url vs Datasources

    Hi all

    We are developing an erp with full stack ADF system. Now have a serious discussion on whether to use datasource or jdbc URLs. We know that data sources are managed by the application server, but jdbc URL are directly connects to the database. is there a drawback by using the jdbc url, whereas ADF BC? jdbc url would be much simpler for our need. Otherwise, we need to create the new source of data on the fly to the container (my previous question).

    JDeveloper/ADF: 12.1.3

    AppServer: Weblogic/Glassfish

    Thank you

    Youssef Mohamed Jawhar.

    The answer to

    (1) Yes, am grouping will work and no you do not have loos next to abstraction and configuration functionality. ADF works on JDBC URL.

    2) Yes, if you have enough memory installed that should work, however I have never used over 10 data sources. Oh, and you should test the startup time. AFAIK the server tests each data source initially to the top of the server.

  • [ADF Essentials, JDev12.1.3, MS SQL Server] About to restore backup/restore error when the application is deployed on GlassFish. How...?

    Hallo,

    follow the suggestions of Timo Hahn and kdario , I created a panelTabbed with main tables form & details according to this thread Re: [ADF, JDev12.1.3] Master af:form w/read only af:tables detail: how to handle insert and edit through forms?

    The modification/insertion for readonly tables is managed using a form of popup.

    Before displaying the form, I create a backup that I restore it if the user click Cancel on the shortcut menu.

    Everything works well on the integrated WebLogic Server, but now that I have deployed the application on GlassFish Server I noticed an odd error.

    The < <the connection to the server has failed (status = 500)> > error when I click the button cancel from the context menu (Cancel involves restoring the backup) and the empty line added before opening the context menu and create the backup point is left blank in the table.

    In the server log, I read this error:

    Caused by: com.microsoft.sqlserver.jdbc.SQLServerException: call Impossible a commit operation when the AutoCommit is set to 'true '.

    at com.microsoft.sqlserver.jdbc.SQLServerException.makeFromDriverError(SQLServerException.java:190)

    The check points are not compatible with GlassFish/ADF Essentials or it is - AS I HOPE -some adjustments to make with regard to transactions in GlassFish?

    Until now I deplyed on GlassFish than an application of readonly.

    I see now that the problem also occurs when the call of the AOS restore operation is should not be due to the use of the backup point.

    It is the configuration of the Connection Pool in GlassFish (sorry it's in Italian)...

    Hello Dario,

    the solution to the problem really seems to check 'non transactional connections' (with nothing to do in the code of the application) in the GlassFish connection pool configuration.

    I did a lot of tests: commit, rollback and save points works like movement.

    See you later for another thrilling adventure!

    Thank you

  • Cannot use datasource in ADF set in Glassfish

    Hello guys!

    I created a simple application of ADF in jdeveloper 12 c with mysql database and application 3.1 the glassfish server. No problem creating business with the "Business Component of Table" Wizard (using the jdbc connection) local component. I created a display module and put some table data model component.

    I defined a data jdbc (jdbc/MyDS) source in glassfish and successfully test and before you deploy my application and I changed the configuration of module of the application of url jdbc to the data source jdbc (with the same name as the glassfish jdbc connection) in the jdeveloper project.

    I start the browser with the url on the right and I got a popup error "Configuration AppmoduleLocal" not found

    I tried all day... with no success... help!

    No idea what the problem...

    Well, GlassFish 4 is not checked ADF essentials, could we do have problems. Check out this thread [JDev12.1.2, ADF, GlassFish 4] some questions on the tutorial of Shay "Deploy Oracle ADF Essentials Applications to Glassfish" which covers a part of that.

    Timo

  • [JDev12.1.2, ADF, GlassFish 4] A few questions on the tutorial of Shay "Deploy Oracle ADF Essentials Applications to Glassfish"

    Hallo (Shay),

    I want to deploy my application Web ADF to GlassFish that is installed on a different server from the development computer.

    The application interacts with a MS SQL Server database.

    I have some doubts/questions on the tutorial of Shay https://blogs.oracle.com/shay/entry/deploying_oracle_adf_applications_to

    So far in the development phase, I deployed the application only to the JDeveloper-itegrated WebLogic Server on the development computer.

    Creating a connection pool

    • I could successfully creates a pool of connections only by copying the sqljdbc4.jar library in the C:\glassfish4\glassfish\libdirectory. Is this OK or should the library remain in C:\glassfish4\glassfish\domains\domain1\lib?
    • Is there a way to hide the password in the additional properties?
    • Is there any setting for the property should do (especially for MS SQL Server)? For example, somewhere I read that the isolation of transactions should be set to read uncommitted... but I did not understand why.
    • What is the difference between types java.sql.DataSource resources and java.sql.XADataSource?

    In JDeveloper application configuration

    • Since the beginning of its development, the local configuration of the application Module has the name of data source (JDBC data source) set to java: comp/env/jdbc/MyDatabase_DB_SQLServerDS. If I change this field value to jdbc / < name_of_jdbc_resource_created_in_GlassFish >, as in the tutorial of Shay, it is not longer possible to run the application in JDeveloper (so using the WebLogic JDeveloper-itegrated server). Why? What's wrong?
    • JDeveloper offers only the choiche GlassFish 3.1 as a platform for the deployment, but I'll use GlassFish 4. Perhaps this cause problems?

    Taking care of the libraries used by the application

    • In the project properties, between the libraries and railways class there are a few additional libraries I've used in applications. Here's the JAR files I put in C:\JDeveloper\lib. I copy these libraries on the production server? If Yes, where?

    Other questions

    • What is the difference between putting a library in the lib of GlassFish folder and put it in the folder lib of Domain1?
    • Deployment procedure used by Shay in his tutorial might also be used to deploy the application on a remote production server?
    • Is there a way to manually delploy an application, for example by copying manually under GlassFish project folder?
    • My final goal is as follows. I have a clean Setup that allows me (1) to continue to run the application in JDeveloper on its built-in WLS, (2) to test the application to the GlassFish that I have installed on the computer development and (3) delploy the application on the remote production server. Could help me do that?

    These are a lot of questions.

    I thank in advance all the users who want to respond and I hope that the answers to these questions will help also others.

    Ciao,.

    Federico

    Federico - most of your questions is generic Glassfish questions that do not specifically have anything to do with ADF - I recommend that you post on the forum of Glassfish. (Or read the Glassfish documentation for things like the difference between directories and deployment/admin console).

    >>

    • Since the beginning of its development, the local configuration of the application Module has the name of data source (JDBC data source) parameter tojava:comp / env/jdbc/MyDatabase_DB_SQLServerDS. If I change the value of this field of jdbc /, as in the tutorial of Shay, it is not longer possible to run the application in JDeveloper (so using the WebLogic JDeveloper-itegrated server). Why? What is the problem?

    This is because JDeveloper uses an integrated WebLogic when you run and therefor cannot use the data source of Glassfish.

    I suggest that make you this change only when you go to deploy on Glassfish.

    >>

    We don't know, as the matrix of certification for the ADF will show that we have not tested/certified this combination.

    Use the properties of project-> libraries and class path to add the jar or create a library and add it to your project.

    Make sure that this library is deployed by default.

    • Deployment procedure used by Shay in his tutorial can also be used to deploy the application on a remote production server

    Yes

    Oracle ADF business with several databases components

  • ADF BC on GlassFish, MySQL: ResultSet.IsClosed)

    So, I have spent two hours but have not yet managed to run a simple application of ADF Essentials on GlassFish application with MySQL database server.

    I installed ADF Essentials om GlassFish, adds MySQL connector JDev, established connections between JDev, GlassFish and MySQL and set to GlassFish application platform.

    Currently a simple application without data works, but when I add a table on the page, all tripped down.

    Solved.

    The reason for the problem was the wrong version of connector MySQL.

    Connector of the MySQL installation folder was the solution.

  • How to define JDBC Data Sources in Oracle MapViewer for Oracle database 12 c Release 1 (12.1.0.1)

    How to define JDBC Data Sources in Oracle MapViewer for Oracle database Release 1 (12.1.0.1) 12 c?

    Here is my setup in the conf\mapViewerConfig.xml:

    < name map_data_source = "mvdemo12".

    jdbc_host = "127.0.0.1".

    jdbc_sid = "orcl12c1".

    jdbc_port = '1522 '.

    jdbc_user = "mvdemo".

    jdbc_password = "7OVl2rJ + hOYxG5T3vKJQb + hW4NPgy9EN.

    jdbc_mode = 'thin '.

    number_of_mappers = '3 '.

    allow_jdbc_theme_based_foi = 'true '.

    Editable = "true" / >

    <!--  ****  -->

    But it does not work.

    After use "sqlplus mvdemo / [email protected]:1522 / pdborcl", it connected to the Oracle 12 c database.

    Anyone know it?

    Thank you

    11.1.1.7.1 use the jdbc_sid syntax, i.e.

    as described in the README file, mypdb1.foo.com

    -Sources of native data (no container) MapViewer can now use the service name of database instead of SID. To provide a db service name, you will use the same attribute of jdbc_sid, but specify the name of the service with double slashes in front, as follows:

    jdbc_host = "foo.com"

    jdbc_sid="//mypdb1.foo.com".

    jdbc_port = '1522 '.

    ... ...

    />

    Use a container_ds to the 11.1.1.7.0.

    that is, instead of using

    jdbc_host = "mydbinstance".

    jdbc_sid = "pdborcl12c".

    jdbc_port = '1522 '.

    jdbc_user = "mytestuser".

    jdbc_password = "m2E7T48U3LfRjKwR0YFETQcjNb4gCMLG8/X0KWjO00Q ="

    jdbc_mode = 'thin '.

    number_of_mappers = "6".

    allow_jdbc_theme_based_foi = "false".

    Editable = "false".

    />

    use

    container_ds = "jdbc/db12c.

    number_of_mappers = "6".

    allow_jdbc_theme_based_foi = "false".

    Editable = "false".

    />

    In my case the Glassfish 3.1.2.2 JDBC connection pool definition has been

    Property

    URL jdbc:oracle:thin:@mydbinstance:1522/pdborcl12c.rest_of.service.name

    Uncheck the wrap JDBC objects in advanced Panel, that is, the page properties change JDBC connection advanced pool.

    Add a resource to that newly created JDBC pool

    Use in mapviewerconfig.xml as above

  • Withdrawal of the cache folder ready to call APEX earphone with GlassFish

    Hello

    We had several unexplained crashes of APEX in our environment in recent months. All this happened after we moved to GlassFish the listener to the APEX. The symptoms were always that all connections in the JDBC connection pool have been used and we had to restart the instance of GlassFish server to free up.

    I finally managed to replicate and to determine the cause of this recurring problem. The culprit is file caching used by the auditor of the APEX to the cache file. We use it to cache the downloads of image of the database with a procedure, and the caching folder was set to/tmp/apex/cache. I believe that this is the default setting. All right, when the procedure was called the images were downloaded from the database and caching under/tmp/apex/cache. However, for some (still unexplained) reason, Linux sometimes removes this system of files/tmp folder. This seems to happen at any time after a period of inactivity. We have not to restart the server. After that the file is missing, the listener of the APEX is unable to recreate it, continues to create new database connections until the configured maximum value is reached, and we need to restart the instance of GlassFish to free up. It also recreates the cache folder.

    Our environment: GlassFish 3.1.1 and 3.1.2, APEX listener 1.1.3 Oracle Linux 6.2. I didn't try the new listener APEX 1.1.4 yet I'm not sure if this problem has been fixed in the latest version.

    (kind of reminds me of the problem where the APEX configuration file is by default submitted/tmp and also disappears from time to time)

    HTH,
    Matthias
    http://matthiashoys.WordPress.com

    Hello Matthias.

    (kind of reminds me of the problem where the APEX configuration file is by default submitted/tmp and also disappears from time to time)

    This is exactly the same cause. Why don't you set up APEX listener to use a permanent seat for his repertoire of setting cached when you set the config.dir ? The corresponding setting in the apex - config.xml is named apex.cache.directory and must be paid when caching is enabled.
    Of course, it would be useful APEX auditor would report an error when its cache dir is missing rather than die in silence. It would be better to change the mode of caching mode not cached when these errors occur. Maybe it will be better in a future release.

  • Problems in using the APEX with glassfish server listener

    Hello
    I try to install APEX with listener application on my Oracle R12 application server. I installed glassfish 3.1 (zip file) and deployed my interlocutor on glassfish using the administration console
    http:// < Host >: 4848

    But I am not able to run the following links to get the status of the listener
    http:// < Host >: 8080/listenerStatus

    I get the following error when I try to connect using my user adminlistener who I defined under the Admin group, in accordance with the installation guide.
    HTTP status 403 - Access to the requested resource has been denied

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    type of status report

    messageAccess to the requested resource has been denied

    descriptionAccess to the specified resource (access to the requested resource has been denied) was banned.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Oracle GlassFish Server 3.1
    Also, when I try to start the administration console application using the link http:// < host >: 8080/apex
    I get the following error

    application = 4500 workspace = 10+.
    Error ERR - 1014 Application not found. +

    OK+

    Anyone know what could be the problem? Earlier, when I did the installtion even on my personal computer that runs on Windows OS I had faced some questions like this and was able to resolve by reinstalling glassfish with port 7878 place default 8080 HTTP and that solved the problem.

    But this time, I try to install on the Linux server and since I used the option of the glassfish server .zip file I don't have the option to configure during the installation. If you think that the problem is due to the conflict to port 8080, then can you please tell me how I can change the HTTP port without having to reinstall the glassfish Server?

    Thanks in advance!

    Hi reda,.

    http:// : 7878/apex/listenerStatus (I changed my HTTP port for 7878)

    But I have error which I run this URL below.

    HTTP status 403 - Access to the requested resource has been denied

    I'm sorry I have not answered your question 403, but I thought it should be a primary target in order to get your APEX installation up and running first.
    As you have moved this issue, it is logical to continue on other issues in your deployment.
    You say that you are trying to connect to listenerStatus as "adminlistener" with the group "Admin". You must use a user with the 'Manager' of the page group.
    However, if you have "Admin", you can access the 'status' tab in 'listenerAdmin' that contains exactly the information you see in 'listenerStatus '.

    Also, when I run the URL Listner Administrator page loads properly, but all fields are disabled. So I can only see the page, but not to make changes to the fields on tab 'connection '.

    You can change the JDBC settings in this tab? You must open the subform to display the fields.
    And you are able to change any settings on the other tabs?
    If so, everything works as expected. It is not possible to change the credentials of database using "listenerAdmin". The shape looks like the one you get in "listenerConfigure", but it is implemented differently, so what you see is the expected behavior.

    However, I can click on the 'Apply' button on this page and when I do that it takes me to the login user APEX screen. This is how it should be?

    Yes. What is this "Apply" button to reset the connection pool to use the current JDBC settings, which you should be able to edit as shown above. Therefore, when you apply the changed settings, the listenerAdmin will take you to the start APEX page to check that everything works (always) and continue to use APEX.

  • ssl_error_weak_server_ephemeral_dh_key - this "fine" thing blocking me to access my Glassfish admin console (and console browser EM etc...)

    I can't connect, for example, my console to admin for Glassfish more since a recent Firefox update. Everything was fine in older versions, where I could just select "I understand the risks" and add an exception in order to access such

    Without this option, Firefox is rendered itself useless for me - it is perhaps still available, hidden somewhere?
