Jolt 1.2 Tuxedo 6.5 on Solaris 10 sparc is not establish connection

Hello

I installed Tuxedo 6.5 on Solaris10 sparc because my application was not compiled with a later version of Tuxedo. Then I installed Jolt1.2 there. I configured the tuxedo and all the application servers. While startup FINGS server starts but JSL fails with the JOLT_CAT:1008 error: could not establish connection to the server / / 10.10.100.110:9500. After that, it gives Tuxedo error 'tpsvrinit() failed '. As had been suggested in some other messages I already checked if shipping is free or not with the command "netstat - a | grep 9500» There is no coming out to the above command. But the same configuration works very well with Solaris 8 sparc. IP address of the machine is 10.10.100.110 and the hostname is "systest".

The ULOG file extract is as below:
092910: TUXEDO Version 6.5 SunOS 5.5.1 sun4u sparc SUNW, Ultra-1 credits.

When I run several version of Tuxedo JSL starts without any problem. It establishes the connection easily. But my applications cannot be recompiled with a superior version of tuxedo that's why I am forced to use 6.5. I am confused, whether all the problem of different versions of jerk and Tuxedo or it's my configuration problem. Kindly help me.

Shashi,

Tuxedo 6.5 needs a patch to run on versions of Solaris or the WSNAT_CAT:1008 or JOLT_CAT:1008 "error: could not establish listening on the network + netaddr address +" message may appear.
The thread could not establish listening on the network address describes a similar problem with the WSL and the ULOG in that thread also "TUXEDO Version 6.5 SunOS 5.5.1".

You can get the fix last roll of Oracle support. (It would be even better to move to a later version of Tuxedo, Tuxedo 6.5 being beyond its end date of life on Solaris. I hope some compilation problems, you later with Tuxedo releases can be solved rather easily.)

Kind regards

    Steps to follow:

    1. install JDK - success

    2. installation of WebLogic Server 10.3.6 (64-bit) and created a new home of Middleware. -Success

    3. ensure that all prerequisites are met by a prior information of Oracle: http://docs.oracle.com/html/E25460_01/r2_fr_requirements.htm

We have solved the problem. The library of expr has not found in/usr/xpg4/bin but in another location. After you create a symbolic link in/usr/xpg4/bin pointing to where it has been deployed, the installation is completed successfully (after removing the previous attempt failed).

A test you can do to make sure that expr is working correctly is to run expr 1 + 1 in the shell. If the command works, the library can be found.

Matthew, I thank you for your suggestions as well.

  • Lack of control Mission in Java to Solaris on SPARC

    Hello.

I would use Java Mission Control on Solaris.

    I downloaded the packages: JDK 7, 45 update: http://download.oracle.com/otn-pub/java/jdk/7u45-b18/jdk-7u45-solaris-sparc.tar.gz and http://download.oracle.com/otn-pub/java/jdk/7u45-b18/jdk-7u45-solaris-sparcv9.tar.gz

After installation (tar - xvzf these two files), there is no binary Java Mission Control in the directory $JAVA_HOME/bin

How can I get it? I'll download some another package, or what I am doing wrong?

Java Mission Control is written on the page: "from the version of JDK 7 update 40 (7u40) Oracle, Java Mission control comes with the JAVA HotSpot VM.'"

I can't see jmc after installing JDK 1.7.u45.

    Could you please help me?

    Thank you!

Control Mission in Java is not included in the JDK on Solaris because it is not a platform with support for JMC.

but you can run the JMC plug-ins in Eclipse instead.

    Install the plug-ins JMC for

Note that you need Eclipse 3.8.2.

  • BI Server will not start on Solaris 10 (SPARC) 64 bit OBIEE 10.1.3.4.1

    Hello world

I have a few teething problems of the server of BI on Solaris 10 (SPARC) 64 bit OS with OBIEE 10.1.3.4.1. I swear it worked very well last week (in fact I think even a few entries in the log file of the server of last week). But the server is now definitely down. When I run the command run - his start64 .sh or the beginning of the same race - his .sh, I get the standard messages that start the BI server, however, I check the log file and there is nothing in the log file and the server starts. I run the command ps - ef | grep to see if I can find the saserver from the running process, but the only thing running is the presentation server (sawserver).

I will continue to dig through the documentation and forums, but I wanted to put it out there in case someone point me in the right direction.

    Thanks for the help!

  • Controls all the preconditions fails on Oracle 11g R2 on Solaris 10 SPARC

    Hi all

Wonder if anyone has experienced this problem before when installing Oracle 11 g Release 2.

I'm trying to install Oracle 11 g Release 2 (11.2.0/1/0) for Solaris 10 SPARC, respecting the Oracle® Database Setup Guide fast 11g Release 2 (11.2) for the Solaris (SPARC 64-Bit) operating system that is located here:

    http://download.Oracle.com/docs/CD/E11882_01/install.112/e10863/TOC.htm#BABHECFG

I created my users and groups, gave the permissions set ORACLE_BASE, added the oracle with projadd project and set the required parameters it and in/etc/System too just incase.

When I run. / runInstaller, on the section due diligence, it seems to fail pretty much everything and I don't know why...

His same say the oracle user does not exist (well I had to run the installer as oracle!), oinstall, s/n, etc as well. Complains about limit parameters and settings of perimeter of core that are defined. He even complains that you don't find the architecture of the BONE and are invisible to the packages that are installed. It basically seems as if his tent all these checks but found nothing properly.

All the expected and actual values are s/o too, usually even if it should appear. Someone had this kind of problem or have any idea what could be the cause?

I think its got something to do with Solaris 10 SPARC or some sort of requirements, which is even not mentioned in the Oracle documentation.

    Thank you very much

    Kind regards.

Check the doc of MOS. It has the required information and the reference to other documents too.

I think that the error would cause the JDK version with which try to initialize.

Anyone has an idea on the possible error? Thanks in advance.

Hi, I advise you to try to use the generic Setup program to: % SOA_INSTALLER_DIR%/Disk1/runInstaller. Because if you use the runInstaller in the %SOA_INSTALLER_DIR%/Disk1/install/solaris it will lead to this problem in some cases.

  • Jolt transaction to Tuxedo services - required XA?

    Dear friends (especially Todd little).

Sorry, but the Jolt and Tuxedo documentation is really low (to say the least) with regard to managing the transactions of jolt.

I would like to ask your help kind to answer the simplest question in the world:

I have two Tuxedo services each doing some updates to a database. Working against the same DB (DB only contact, no multiple DBs) and within the same instance of Tuxedo in production.

I wish that both services to do their updates in a transactional manner when it is called shake (with SessionPool transactional).

Do I need both of these services to run with XA resources for this, or not?

My natural expectation (from global experience JEE) is that both services would be affected (by the container, in our case Smoking) with the same DB connection to perform their updates, that is why when the connection is restored (due to failure in a single service), all update (from all the previous services) are cancelled.

And I would expect Tuxedo to manage this, all services, called the same session transactional Jolt would share the same DB connection (just like it happens with any JEE server or Weblogic when an XA transaction is running).

I would expect not necessary to configure (and worse, for use in production) an XA resource for the implementation of the (simple) company.
It's like buying the cow for a glass of milk...

Could you please draw on it?

    Kind regards.

    Hello

"Connection pooling" Tuxedo is very different from the JEE environment. Each server connects to the database independent of every other server. Linking strategies are controlled by the OPENINFO chain. So if two different groups of Tuxedo servers access databases the same or different, an XA transaction is necessary because there are two or more database connections. This operation can be started by tremor, started by Tuxedo service called shake, or TRANSCENDING. Regardless of how the transaction is started, the local transaction to Tuxedo, i.e., it will not involve transaction manager of containers of the tremor as Quake or JTA transactions are always delegated to managed by the JSH. If all services that are called are in one group of Tuxedo, Tuxdeo will be the collapse of the tree of the transaction to a single resource manager and perform a phase commit optimization.

I hope that the above, your questions.

    Kind regards

We were running Solaris 10 (update 4 I think) running on VMware Server. Solaris server runs as a virtual machine 7.

However, when we try to start the machine in vSphere machine auto-redémarre.

It seems that the Oracle Linux forum is visible again.
It has been about 24 hours since the event.

  • [Answered] List of patches for Solaris 10 SPARC 64 bit!

    Hi all

Document setup for 10g Release 2 (10.2) for the operating system Solaris (SPARC 64-Bit) says nothing about the fixes required on Solaris 10 (there is a list for Solaris 8 and 9).

    http://download.Oracle.com/docs/CD/B19306_01/install.102/b15690/pre_install.htm#sthref110

Can I safely assume that the installation of Solaris 10, contains all the fixes that are required in this case?

  • not able to connect to the database users

    Hello

OS Oracle Solaris on SPARC (64-bit)
    database version 10.2.0.2

There was a problem, one of the database, most of the applications were unable to connect, only 1 or 2 managed applications to connect, which totalled around 4 to 6 hours. Once the database has been recycle everything was ok, so what could be the reason? I have too many words from sr oracle, oracle specified as there was a sql with 13000 executions, also as 2 users have tried to update the same row in the table, so that users must commit frequently, just read the lines highlighted. My question is if there is a conflict of line, that would restrict other applications to connect to the database. And after reboot, everything was normal. I m wondering as is the resource_limit or max execeeded processes at this time this is why not able to sign in as user applications oracle unable to generate new processes.

As I mentioned in the SR #, users could not establish connection to recycling of the database at all. So what is the root cause?

    UPDATE
    ========
    Hello

It seems that many people have tried to run the same day order at the same time.
    (more than 13,000 executions)

    Update KID set ID = ID + A1: where IDType = 0

and segment shows the same table.

It is an application problem, two people can not update the same rows at the same time.
    OR
After that the users update must initiate more timely work.

Not so sure. Is this connection to database, or application? The OP wrote "+ one of the basis of most of the applications were not able to connect, only 1 or 2 applications has managed to connect +", don't know what that means exactly, depends on how the application manage the connection. It can start with the search/update of this table where the problem may come from.
