[JS MAC] Problem of path of the file with special characters

Hello

I'm trying to declare the path of a file on a text file. One of the folders includes a special character such as "love".

So, when I try to write a txt file with this path, it fails.

Here are some that I've isolated for debugging.

The problem appears on a Mac, but may be present on a PC as well.

Given a file open in Indesign

This file is placed in a subfolder named "love."

The issue here is your host is not configured to serve the page with special characters names, but BC does not handle them correctly.

Right-click on your pages and choose "Page Properties". Go to the third tab, 'options', and clear the check box to use filename with the same name as the Page name.

Use a file name that does not contain these special characters and it should work fine.

Hello. I use XP SP3 with all post-SP3 updates critical. Windows Media Player 9 does not work. When I try to reinstall, I'm stuck: the 9xmigrat.dll of file on (unknown) you need to type the path where the file is located and then click ok. I like WMP9 and do not want to use a newer version of WMP. I was not able to find 9xmigrat.dll

Thank you, David. It seems that the problem was caused by incorporating the updates for WMP9 using nLite. I made another CD of installation excluding these updates. A clean install of XP SP3 and WMP9 is working. Thank you for your response.

This occurs if the filevbscript.dll runtime script is not properly registered in the system, I would say you follow these steps and see if it works very well.

Method 1

Try to install the program in high mode.

(a) right click the program.

(b) select run as administrator.

Method 2
a. click the Start button, type cmd. In the result of the research with the right button on cmd and select run as administrator.
b. type cd %windir%\system 32 (Note: there is a space between the system and 32) and press ENTER.
c. type regsvr32 vbscript.dll in the command prompt, and then press ENTER.
d. type regsvr32 jscript.dll in command prompt, and then press ENTER.

If the registration was successful, you should now see the following message is displayed:
DllRegisterServer in vbscript.dll successful.
e. now right-click on the Setup file of windows cleanup utility and select run as administrator.

Method 2

If the problem persists, you can run the System File Checker and see if it works fine.

I guess that this time there is no confussion in your mind...

to cut the story short, it's a problem generated by authorization on Mac problems. It is resolved by defining the whole Adobe preferences folder and its contents to be read/write, not just read-only.
In Mac OS: [Drive] /Users/ [username] / Library/Preferences/Adobe
In Windows [drive] \Users\ [username] \AppData\Roaming\Adobe

also after you change these files for read/write, you must copy the files you worked on once again.

I created a package of IE7 a while back which works great. Apart from this little problem. It generates an error when the user tries to open a .msg to the WebApp. It will try to open Outlook and display the following error message. «Could not open the file: * path *.» The file exists may not, you don't have permission to open it, or it may be open in another program. Right click on the folder that contains the file, and then click action to check your permissions for the folder. »
All the other files attached to work. PDF, html, txt, rtf, etc. I tried to move temporary Internet files to a different location with the same result.

My ftp_nb_fput fails because it cannot find the file because it assumes that it is on the server, not the local machine. I use this so I can see the progress of the transfer without too much code:

A good idea is to read the PHP manual. As explained in the next page, the maximum size of the downloads is controlled by the PHP configuration directives: http://docs.php.net/manual/en/features.file-upload.common-pitfalls.php. Normally, the maximum size of an individual file is 2 MB, and the maximum total value is 8 MB. If you are on shared hosting, I doubt that if the hosting company will be willing to change the configuration directives to allow 100 MB mail, but you can always ask.

Path to the file standard.js
I'm fairly new to Captivate and generated three tutorials that I add to a RoboHelp project. Everything was good with the tutorials that everything went to the Captivate but only connected inside RoboHelp. I discovered that the problem was not with RoboHelp but the path to the file standard.js in the HTM file generated in the Captivate published output. Once I changed the path to the file, everything was OK.

My question is, what Captivate uses to produce the path to the file standard.js. All my Captivate projects were still in separate folders at the same level, the path to the javascript file varied considerably. I know what to look for in the future, but I'm just curious

The Standard.js simply needs to exist in the same folder as your other Captivate content. You may want to just place all your Dove inside a single file in RoboHelp and things can work. Also, be careful about the use of spaces in filenames Captivate, RoboHelp likes to add underscores and which can wreak havoc with your Captivate trying to play in RoboHelp.

I'm doing a script that takes a list of e-mail from a text file and then allow me to select a save as a string. I found some ways to get the path of the file, but I'm in check by pulling the list

What I can't understand is how to get a dialog box to display a list that represents the content in the text file, I need to change the contents of the text file, I need the box to show me what I chose and I want to save my selection as a single string.

Number of files - particularly documents created by word processing programs and images created by digital cameras - contain "metadata", which may include personal or location information that'd rather you keep private. It's completely outside any file name you have given to the file.

There are different methods and tools available to "scrub" the files before sharing. For example, only Word 2010 has a built-in "document inspector" that allows you to watch and remove metadata. See also http://lawyerist.com/how-to-quickly-and-easily-remove-meta-data/ you can use your favorite search engine to find more ways to remove document metadata.

Regarding the images, the files created by digital cameras usually have "EXIF" metadata included, which not only contains information such as the date parameters, time and camera, but may also include GPS information if the camera has this feature (for example, a camera in a smart phone). Disk Cleanup

To run Disk Cleanup, normal is to click with the right button on the drive in my computer (Start menu - computer), then Properties - general tab - Disk Cleanup button.

Sometimes, files get lost in the trash. Remove the storage folders. It will be automatically re-created next time you delete a file or open the Recycle Bin. It will remove the trash and the files it contains for all users.

Empty the trash.

To see the size of the files in the Recycle Bin

It must have one or no files inside if you work. There should be a directory (folder) by user.

To reset the trash

Fix temporary Internet files

Sometimes, files get lost in the temporary internet files folder. Delete the files. It will be automatically recreated the next time download you. It will remove the current user only.

Start - All Programs - Accessories - right on command prompt and choose run as administrator. Type (or copy and paste by clicking in the command prompt window and choose Paste).

To see the temporary internet files size empty files folder

Then delete.

First close Internet Explorer. Some files may not remove at the moment, they can be deleted later.
