  What looks like the popup? I think that Yahoo may have a bar in the page content area that encourages to make your Yahoo homepage. However, if it appears outside of the page, and especially if it displays when you visit other sites, it could be caused by an add-on unwanted. Here's an example another user recently published along these lines:

  It is possible that there is a problem with the files that store the registry extensions.

  Delete the files (extensions.json, extensions.sqlite, extensions.ini) extensions.* and compatibility.ini in the profile folder of Firefox to reset the extensions registry.

  Instead of having to physically push a button to "Mark as read" after the opening of each email, why didn't they just mark themselves automatically as they are clicked on and read?   You can remove one of the office shortcuts if both point to the same firefox.exe in the same Firefox program folder.
  You can keep the one with the correct version information where the other is an older version of Firefox.

  FWIW, do not change the extensions of file simply by copying the files to an external drive.

  Check the name under view just makes contacts show the first name and family name. If you want to sort by name, click on the heading titled NAME.
  By clicking on a heading of column sorts on this column. Clicking the same header again reverses the sort.
