KB2572073, KB2633880 & KB2518864 updates failed to install.
Page of Updates of the MS (history) shows that the updates were installed THREE times again the yellow shield ("updates") is always telling me to install them.
Secunia members reported this (http://secunia.com/community/forum/thread/show/12677) as a cnet forums.
Microsoft is certainly aware?

Another series of recent buggy XP SP3 updates KB2572073 KB2633880 KB2518864
Tonight, both of my XP SP3 boxes receive 3 updates to .net 2.0 offered several times;
KB2572073
KB2633880
KB2518864I find that odd, especially when we're between update cycles.
Whenever I told it to install, it finally says "successful installation" AND THEN opens again (wteher I reboot or not).
Happened to the point where I uninstalled .net 2.0 a box hoping it would disappear (it also has 3.5 & 4.0). Unfortunately the "control center" for my ATI Radeon 3450 'control center' would not go 2.0 is installed. Having convinced MS I wanted to install 2.0 & NOT reinstall 4.0 (although I also tried), I have the ATI utility works once more, but I still get these security updates provided on & on.
Is this a real security problem, or should I just hide them?
MS must have been aware of this problem. On the pc that I applied the fix, it re dl had its own updates & they installed. On the other pc, the problem simply disappeared.

Windows Update keeps offering always, KB2572073, KB2633880, KB2518864
Original title: Windows build update 2.0 SP2 and 3.5 SP1.
I got the update KB2572073, KB2633880, KB2518864 for Windows XP and every time that I install them, I get the same update again. This occurred four times until I realized that the updates were all the same. I am now showing another update, which is the same.
Hello
Were there any changes (hardware or software) to the computer before the show?
Perform the steps from the link below and see if it helps.

AutoUpdate installs over and over (KB2572073, KB2633880, & KB2518864)
I am running Windows XP and I run the automatic updates. Thing is it wouldn't install these updates
KB2572073
KB2633880
KB2518864being rather confused as to how exactly it works, in fact, I sat down and watched the program of automatic updates to do its thing. He claims as 'done!', but he prays so I install the updates again shortly after.
See the article by Susan: http://msmvps.com/blogs/bradley/archive/2012/05/21/hang-loose-until-someone-in-redmond-wakes-up-and-fixes-microsoft-update.aspx
It's a bug that has been fixed.
[Edit adding]
If you still get updated them, maybe it's because they have already been downloaded to the computer and try to install.
You may need to empty your temporary download folder.

Original title: anyone know where I can find a solution for error code 8E5E03FB
I looked in the help and the Microsoft Web site in the world. I tried to startup using MSconfig, activate and deactivate services, I tried the Microsoft Update Catalog. I started by not being able to install six updates and now got it to three and have grown tired of trying to figure it out by myself.
If you have tried everything, including a repair install as stated in this thread:
You've done everything mentioned in this article?

Windows update fails to install KB2656368 and KB2686827. Get the code641 error
Original title:
Windows update fails to install KB2656368 and KB2686827
I am running Vista Home Premium. Windows update fails to install KB2656368 and KB2686827. Download error code641 which seems to mean that Windows cannot identify the problem. In the past, it was caused because the installer has been damaged. In setting the Microsoft Support took control of my computer; Download a new installer and solved the problem. However, it seems that there is no way of contacting Microsoft Support for them to fix the installation program. The installation program be fixed right now. Moreover, the tool "Fixit" said that everything is fine.
Microsoft paid $99 for the support. Tech uploaded a new installer. Problem solved!
