  I ran into this problem last night, my Photoshop CS (Windows version) has lost its activation at any given time, since when it has been used in the last one week ago. Either way, I had installed a new version of Norton Internet Security during this time and thought it had something to do with this problem. I tried to disable Norton, but it made no difference that try to re-activate Photoshop. Apparently, somewhere around 13/12/12 to 15/12/12, Adobe stop the server that supports CS & CS2 product activation.

  If Norton has affected the original Adobe product activation or not is a moot point (Symantec rejects their product it wrong), that now it is possible to reactivate the CS version, by internet or by phone. I logged into my account Adobe, followed the link to the fix CS2 activation, I found nothing for supportting CS, but decided to try to download the version of Photoshop CS2. Is it installed and ran fine with the new Adobe provided key.

  The most important thing is that I had the chance to obtain the fix, and while the guy to support Adobe phone said that he could not support my old product of CS, he gave me the web link to find the workaround. It was frustrating to lose the use of my original product of CS, I guess I can't complain that I got a minor upgrade of version which seems to work very well without any charge.

  Hi, I use a codec proRes 422 files (mov) 1920x1080p 23.98 FPS 16:9. Load and play fine in CS3 (custom desktop settings)... but I wouldn't know your project settings for your test shooternz... so I can compare...

  So what? A CS4 project cannot be used with 2.0. There are compaitbility forwards, but not backward compatibility. You may be better off with the creation of a new project and import the 2.0 into the new project.

  You can not activate Photoshop CS2 as long as obsolete Adobe product activation server. Instead, you will need to download a special version that uses a different serial number, and does not need activation. Note the serial number to the right of the product name. Your existing serial number will not work

  As an owner of CS2, Adobe has a copy without activation and serial number, to which you are entitled.
