LabVIEW: Memory data structure or corrupted.

Hi all

I know, this is a very simple question, but I couldn't solve it. When I entered a text in hexadecimal control box. I would like this text to be converted to hexadecimal number. I use unflatten string function.

If I get 8 characters, it does cause some errors. For ex: 1234 5678.

But if I go, for example, 1234, it causes the following error:

LabVIEW: Memory data structure or corrupted.

How can I solve this problem? Thank you and best regards,

  • Can I automate creating a cluster in LabView using the structure of data created in a generated automatically. CSV, C header or XML file?

Can I automate creating a cluster in LabView using the data structure created in an auto generated. CSV, C header or XML file?  I am trying to take the data structure defined in one or more of these files listed and have LabView automatically create a cluster with structure types and the same data.  (Ideally, I would like to do it with a C header file only.)  Basically, I'm trying to avoid having to create the cluster by hand, as the number of cluster elements could be very large. I looked in EasyXML and contacted the rep for the add-on.  Unfortunately, this feature was not created yet.  Did anyone done something like this before? Thanks in advance for the help.

  • LabVIEW: Memory is full

    Hello world!

I've implemented a treatment algorithm of image enlarged in LabVIEW using lots of Matlab code imported across Mathscript node and when I finish the implementation of the algorithm that I discovered that it works very well for a small number of photos, but it is out of memory if I give her more than 25-30. My intentions are to pass in a database of about 1200 photos, so this very small amount it can handle seems to be a pretty huge problem for me. How can I make the algorithm better scale and manage hundreds or even thousands of photos?

Here you have my top level VI simply going through a folder containing images and compares them to a reference image. Expected result is to have a table of scores of similarity between each image in the folder and this one reference.

I have two sub - VI that I understood that they can cause the problem. Properties VI recover did most of the work that takes as input image, lots of calls from Matlab code ".m" files and comes out a bit pattern and the mask of the image. Hamming Distance VI takes then the pictures in the folder model and the mask of the reference image, running the properties for the image in the file VI recover and made some logical operations (XOR, AND) on the models and the masks and exits mark a double precision. The Subvi is called for each image in the file and this is what it looks like:

As I mentioned earlier, the algorithm works very well for a small number of photos, but when I give her more than 25-30 I get error that "memory is full". I read a few posts on this topic and most of them said to reduce the number of elements of façade, paintings, copies of paintings and each large data structure that uses contiguous allocation, so I tried to do. My only element on the front panel is the table with the final results, but I can't handle the Matlab code too as it's not my code, I just have a permission to use it.

As a final information that might be relevant, I should mention the size of the images: they are images in grayscale 150 x 200 with a size of about 22-25 KB data.

Does anyone have an idea how this algorithm works on a scale longer than photos?

From the point of view of applying it in LabVIEW, I thought that it should work fine by calling it from Matlab code. I mean, why reinvent the wheel if I have the tools to use the existing code?

Yes, I get the point, and in this case, it looks like you have a decent amount of Matlab code, so that, probably, is not an option.  But if you were on a forum of Matlab Matlab code that called the ActiveX functions in Excel to perform mathematical operations, and return the result, so I expect this forum to tell you also probably should have implemented in Matlab, instead of yelling to an external library.

Is it possible to perform operations in pieces?  Maybe run a part of the Matlab calls, return a result, then that feed into another call of Matlab?  Without knowing where the allocation of memory and without knowing where large quantities of data are allocated, it is difficult to recommend something with a lot of confidence.

Still based on the code, I see that I don't expect the number of cases being the material processes.  You only take a double for each processed image.  Thus, even if it takes 1 GB RAM to process an image, once the image is being processed, the memory must be deallocated, other than one number resulting from this image.  Basically what I'm saying, is if it can process 5 images, it should be able to handle 5000 (or more) are you sure that it is not crapping on a particular image?  What happens if you try to just process image that he is unable to deal with?

  • a data structure to represent a table in ram?

So I put in place a basket using a table in the database and it is fine.

BUT, I think that the table approach is not only effective - for example by clicking Add to cart does two things:

    (1) Insert the row into the table shoppingCart

    (2) view all of your basket for this session

I think, wouldn't it be nice if I could simply store the basket in a data structure? I do not know that ColdFusion supports such an accession with addRow, removeRow orders - I just can't think of it.

Don't you think that it is an effective approach?

I read the question as not updating the database for every request.  But rather to keep the shopping cart in memory information while the user has been adding, deleting, juggle it.  Thus only pledging to database storage standing at the end.

  • How to import photos from iPhoto to the Photos without losing the date structure

    Hey there,

Today, I realized that not all my photos to the Macintosh iPhotos Photos last year. At this point, I'm missing about 700 photos.

Is it possible to merge the iPhoto to the existing photo library library while keeping the structure of date? I tried just to drag some photos but they then imported as if they were taken today.

If possible, I want to keep the date structure so that all the photos that were taken at the same time will remain together.

Export images from iPhoto to the Finder, and then import them to Photos.

    File-> edit

    This trick of the user

    https://discussions.Apple.com/docs/doc-4921

a details of the options in the export dialog.

    Ignore the file date.

There are two types of metadata involved considering the jpeg or other image file.

One is the data file. That's what shows the Finder. That tells you nothing about the content of the file, just the file itself.

The problem with the metadata file is that it is easy to change the file is moved from one place to another or exported, by electronic mail, downloaded, etc.

Photographs have also obtained the Exif and IPTC metadata. The date and time that your camera broken that the photo is saved in the Exif metadata. Without worrying if that said the date of the file, this is the actual time recorded by the camera.

Applications of photo like iPhoto, Aperture, Lightroom, Picasa, Photoshop etc. get their date and time of the Exif metadata.

When you export from iPhoto to the new Finder file is created containing your Photo (and its Exif). The file date is reported - exactly - the date of export.

However, does not change the Date of the Photo.

The problem is that the Finder doesn't work with Exif.

Thus, your photo has the correct date and the file does, but these are different things. To perform a sort on the date of the Photo, you will need to use a photo app.

  • cwimaq vs imaqdx image data structure

I'm using VB.net (2005) in a simple firewire camera snap and save the application.  I used before CWIMAQ com objects in VB6 without problem (using the WriteImage function).  I made a vast machine vision work in VB6 with the CWIMAQ, so I know that those tools, my trouble is now I'm trying to port to VB.net.

Currently I can not examples of dotnet component image snap-in to work with the CWIMAQ objects in dotnet.  I tried the examples included with the NI Vision acquisition tools and have had success with the c# examples for imaqdx, not CWIMAQ. The port inherited examples from VB6 to .net, however, there are some usability issues with the structure of COM I'm not smart enough to defeat in .net.

Here's my problem, and maybe there is a simple solution.  I need to save the image and cannot for the life of find me the imaqdx method that was similar to the cwimaq.writeimage function.  I have the snap-snap-imaqdx working in vb.net, I tried to use the CWIMAQ.writeimage, but of course, I get an error of "implicit conversion" between the CWIMAQ and the data structures imaqdx image. I can get the imaqdx.image as image system.forms.drawing?

Y at - it an easy way to save an image using the tools of imaqdx in VB.net-similar to the way in which we used CWIMAQ. WriteImage?  Can someone point me to an example or a net which shows?

    Thank you

    James

    Hi James,

The write functions are methods of the image of the Vision. For example, to save the image in png, you would call

    imageViewer1.Image.WritePngFile

Our examples of languages of text can be accessed from the Start Menu (programs > National Instruments > Vision > text basic example)

    Hope this helps,

  • Add or remove programs? Uninstall it says invalid or data has been corrupted, will not continue.

Add or remove programs. The program I want to uninstall it is Printmaster 150.00 MB. I tried to uninstall it but uninstall it says invalid or data has been corrupted,

will not continue. How to get out he computer?

If you have the original installation media, a method that often works when an uninstall program is corrupt is to reinstall the app and then uninstall it.

Otherwise, you could try free Revo Uninstaller or see http://ths.gardenweb.com/forums/load/comphelp/msg081415488395.html (unfortunately, the link to the manual uninstall instructions doesn't work; support for Broderbund software has been adopted by Encore.com, the search engine it leaves something to be desired; however, you can ask for help in a forum yet http://forums.encoreusa.com/).

How to contact Technical Support (it is not clear if all Printmaster versions are still supported; I would try telephone assistance rather than on the web):
    http://forums.encoreusa.com/TM.asp?m=24071&mpage=1&key=%E5%B8%87

The following (below the line *) comes from a post on the support forums forum moderator yet.  I have not linked to it because earlier in the post, it is suggested to use a registry cleaner in the manual uninstall.  Certainly, I do NOT recommend to use any registry cleaner.

    NOTE:
this message does not apply to PrintMaster 2.0 or Print Shop 2.0.

Broderbund programs, including (but not limited to) print shop, PrintMaster, designer of Scrapbook memories of creation and creator of calendar, are installed in the Program Files folder where most of the software are installed. However, many Broderbund programs will install also files and folders in other places on the hard drive.

When one of these programs of Broderbund is uninstalled because it is suspected that the installation is corrupt, it's always a good idea to make sure to manually delete all the files and folders stored on the hard drive that are not deleted automatically during an uninstall normal - to ensure that all corruption is removed before the program, is reinstalled.

Here are the paths of the additional folders where Broderbund software is commonly installed:

    Windows XP: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users Data\Broderbund logiciels\Print

    and

    C:\Documents and Settings\ [your user name] \Local Settings\Application Data\Broderbund logiciels\Print

    WinVista/Win 7: C:\Users\All Users\Broderbund logiciels\Print

    and

    C:\Users\[your-username]\AppData\Local\Broderbund logiciels\Print.

    and

    C:\ProgramData\Broderbund logiciels\Print

PrintMaster address books can be accessed from and saved to the BOOKS folder that is a subfolder of the folder prints shown below (PrintMaster address books may be accessed from or saved to the Documents folder)

    Windows XP: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users Data\Broderbund logiciels\Print

    WinVista/Win 7:Print and C:\Users\All Users\Broderbund logiciels\Print logiciels\ C:\ProgramData\Broderbund

(As you can see, when PrintMaster address books are registered under WinVista and Windows 7, they are saved in two files).

For example, the address for PrintMaster 18 books would be saved in these folders on WinVista or Windows7 computer

    C:\ProgramData\Broderbund Software\Print\PrintMaster\18.0\Books

    C:\Users\All Users\Broderbund Software\Print\PrintMaster\18.0\Books

To make sure that saved the address books are not deleted during the uninstall process, they must be saved prior to PrintMaster is uninstalled. When these address books are restored, it will be necessary to restore these in the same two folders address books - because an address book will not appear in the file. Open list, if not in the two files.

Address books print shop can easily be stored in the Documents folder. So, if you have registered your address books in the Documents folder, it is not necessary to save the address book before you uninstall the print shop.

Files that control the Project Gallery and the Art Gallery are stored in the folders of ART PROJECTS & which are subfolders of this folder to print

    Windows XP: C:\Documents and Settings\ [your username] \Local Data\Broderbund logiciels\Print

    WinVista/Win 7: C:\Users\[your-username]\AppData\Local\Broderbund logiciels\Print.

For example, ART & for PrintMaster 18 PROJECT files would be in this folder on WinVista or Windows7 computer

    C:\Users\[your-username]\AppData\Local\Broderbund Software\Print\PrintMaster\18.0\PROJECTS

Because these files can easily become corrupt if the video card driver is out of date or corrupted, the program folder that has been uninstalled (in this case, the folder 18.0) must be removed before the program is re-installed. It is completely safe to delete the folder PrintMaster - because a new facility this 18.0 folder will be performed when PrintMaster is uninstalled.

If there is only one version of PrintMaster installed on the computer, the PrintMaster folder in this example could also be deleted safely.

    **********

It is not absolutely necessary to remove the Adbook.exe file that controls the program PrintMaster addressbook. But it's always a good idea to know that this file is installed in this folder

  • Error 0 x 80070571: the disk structure is corrupted and unreadable

I recently had an error message saying "error 0 x 80070571: the disk structure is corrupted and unreadable," in reference to C:. I tried chkdsk oh so many times. No change.

Recently, I was able to access the C: files sporadically. Occasionally, sometimes not. However, I can access my files in safe mode.

When I start in normal mode, the system is acting funny. I will try to describe. It starts very well, go anyway for the office and everything. Sometimes, I am able to use the laptop for a few minutes until everything freezes but the cursor; nothing else responds, even not ctrl + alt + delete. Other times, I'm still not that chance. You know how pointing the cursor on an icon temporarily highlights the icon? Highlight the thing is sometimes just to block the system. Once locked, all I can do is hold down the power button.

I tried the system restore, but it never once helped me with the cause of the system error.

I also deleted some programs out of the startup list. Not sure if this would have an effect.
I am running Vista Home on a HP Pavilion dv5.

    Thanks for the reply.

    I tried all three methods.

Methods 1 and 2 have helped for a while, but not long. Method 3 found nothing.

The only solution I can think of is to backup my personal files, then do a system format. Before you do a format, is there anything else that you could recommend?

This is the drive that contains the operating system and was just replaced on 23 July. I restored the disk backups using Acronis True Image 2014.

From July 25, I started to see

The file system on the disk structure is corrupted and unusable. Please run chkdsk on the volume of OS utility.

I ran a CHKDSK /R on the disk and it reported no problem with the drive.

Except for the scary messages in the system event log, I see no problem, but I also don't see these errors on the other disk in the machine.

[I forgot to mention that the drive passes diagnostics pre-boot]

    What happens here?

I see nothing in the article in PC Magazine directly addressed the problem. You were talking about the complexity and the possibilities of seriously screw things with True global Image?

In addition, the link to the Microsoft solution irritates me to 'we're sorry, the requested page is not found.

However, I think I found the solution, and it is quite related software.

After scouring the logs of system events and application, I realized that the error I've been see is still bracketed by the subsystem VSS starts and stops and was almost always related to a backup operation or a virus scan.

Some research (Google search, in fact) have allowed me to suspect that successful shadows of the disc were somewhat corrupt, so I simply deleted them (vssadmin delete shadows / for = c: / all). Since then, there has been no error reported, new instant shade have been created, and everything else works OK.

  • Transfer of files between drives: data loss or corruption?

    1. Is there data loss or corruption during the transfer of files between disks in Windows 7?
    2. What about very large files, gigabytes in size?
    3. Is it possible to check if there is data loss or corruption?

Creation and verification of a checksum is a file operation.  It doesn't matter where the files are stored.

It doesn't matter if the source is a CD, a USB flash drive or a hard drive.  As much as the destination is concerned, if you write a large file on a CD, the possibility of error is greater if copy to a USB flash drive or an external hard drive.  Which is why you often see tips to burn at the slowest speed available when writing large critical files as an ISO installation file.

The only difference between 'copy' and 'move' is this movement copies the file and automatically deletes the original.

You want to make sure that the file copied correctly before the original has disappeared.  The way to ensure that is to perform a copy operation, check the integrity of the copied file and delete the original.
