  The obvious solution, I think, would be to COPY the file from my hard drive model and give it to my colleague.

  However, I looked high and low and cannot FIND WHERE the USER TEMPLATES ARE STORED on my hard drive.  I found the templates provided by Adobe that are included with the product ("Advertising" model) to Program Files > Adobe > Adobe Flash CS4 > en > Configuration > models > advertising; but MY CUSTOM TEMPLATES aren't in the Templates directory.

  I also looked into My Documents and several search on my hard drive, but still cannot find the location of my custom templates.  They are probably SOMEWHERE on my hard drive, because they are available on the start page whenever I start Flash CS4.

  Please, please you O, Adobe, reveal this secret.  I scoured also your databases and the user forums, but apparently I'm the only person interested in simplified workflows view sharing custom models.

  The Local Settings folder is a hidden folder and you need to activate the option "Show the hidden files and folders" in the Folder Options dialog box (in your folder, go to tools > Options... menu folder.)   You probably have a security problem that you can get around using Adobe - Flash Player: settings - global security settings panel Manager or download on a server and test the server files.

  A lively, created in Flash CS4 site I need to update so I plan to do in Animate. Before you start working on it properly, instead of simply to create a new site from scratch, I would like to check:

  • Is it possible to export the site as html5 .fla? I don't see the option to do so.
  • Will I need to recode all or some aspects, information within the project? I did a quick export of Animate and everything seems to work, outside links (for example contact leading to e-mail and facebook button) does not work as they did before.

  Uncheck combine images into a spritesheet in publication settings. IMHO, this should not be the default.

  Currently I have a subscription of CC, but need to change a flash application created using Flash CS4 and action Script 2.0. I have a serial number for CS4 Web Standard, I bought in 2008, but that you do not have the software.

  I found a page with the download links of CS4 so I downloaded Flash CS4, but my serial number is not valid for this product. So I went back to this page, but do not see a download link for a product called "Web Standard" only "Web Premium".

  The code works, unless you use a more recent feature. The FLA does not open, you must CS5.5 or later to open the CC. If you can find a copy of CS5.5, you can open any CC file and save money for CS4.

  Adobe does not sell older versions of their software.  You will need to try your luck with the purchase of a third-party provider.  Try the Google search.

  Hi, when I try to open the Flash on my PC I get the following message "the Adobe Flash CS4 application has quit unexpectedly.  I uninstalled all of Creative Suite 4 and reinstalled using disks of my Creative Suite pack and the serial code.  During installation, an error occurred while the Flash is being installed and I get the same message when I try to open.  I use Windows 7 on a desktop PC.

  uninstall, clean by use the CC cleaning tool to resolve installation problems. CC, CS3 - CS6 and then reinstall.

  If you find an error during installation, take a screenshot and fix it, if it is in English.

  When you say own uninstall, did you use the cleanup tool? Use the CC cleaning tool to resolve installation problems. CC, CS3 - CS6

  I have Adobe Flash CS4 Pro installed on my Windows 8 operating system, and it worked very well for a while, but all of a sudden now, I get a generic error message when I try to run the application.   I'm not sure what I've done - graphic symbols, text are visible in the swf but not on stage, in the workspace or in the library.  I wonder if I have accidentally reset something. I tried to import an .ai graph in a file in flash cs4 when it happened first - graphics is not visible in the workspace, but could be considered in swf. Now, I don't see anything in any flash file I open even those who have been very well before.  Workspace just blank and empty when library window select symbols in the library. If I try to get something, or insert text, it disappears as soon as I switch to the selection tool, but is not visible unless I look at the SWF (control-enter). Please help - much appreciated!

  The project window is just a blank white square in the workspace of developer too.

  You must manually create an empty movieclip and place it on the stage in the upper left corner on a background layer of the main timeline.  Then, assign it an instance name of "backgroundMC" This movieclip is where the code will place all the matrix elements to be created.

  To create an empty movieclip, in the toolbar at the top of the page, select Insert-> new symbol-> Movieclip... assign a symbol name as "Virgin mc" or something so that you know what it is to return to the main document choose edition--> the main Document, and then drag a copy of the new movieclip to the upper-left corner of the stage.

  When it is still selected, assign it an instance name "backgroundMC" in the properties panel, where it says "" (you can name it what you want, but I'm just using background MC for this example to work.

  If you did this correctly, the matrix will be limited now to be in this context movieclip and you can place another object above it in the other layers.
