• Article page thumbnail view

  I have fairly large articles with many pages.  How can I do so when a user touches the article while looking to bring up the options, it also evokes the small page down to scroll and select/navigate thumbs? It was a device in DPS using slips, but page thumbnails are not displayed on the background in the items of the MEA. Y at - there a step I am missing to make them appear in the Viewer application?

  I think you're describing the navigation features that we had in the original DPS. The scrolling navigation in the articles in a folio is not part of the new product. I suspect that it's down to a folio had information on all the articles that were in it, while a collection is a container that is more flexible and does not have information that would support the scroll with thumbnails of each article.

  I recently updated my InDesign CC and now page thumbnails do not appear in the drop-down menu pages, master pages are visible. I opened several documents and the problem occurs in all, and now I realize how often I use this menu. Anyone have any ideas? I tried to restart InDesign and restart the computer. I'm on a Mac, if it is of no importance.

  What a shame. I thought about it: when I updated the software of the horizontal divider little moved to the bottom of the menu. I just had to do slide up. Duh.

  Yes, you can STROKE around the button of the active state. You must select the button, then go to the States, click on 'Active' and add STROKE.

• I want to insert a page in Acrobat XI, but I don't want the Page thumbnails to display

  I find that my editing of document becomes more complicated when I insert a page, because Show Page thumbnails. This new feature throws me because I can not navigate via the open tiles with arrow keys (I can work around this by pressing the right arrow key, then enter, but it is very annoying).

  To compound my problem, when I want to insert a document before the page is displayed on the screen, it sometimes does not work because there is another page selected in the thumbnail of the Page, I can understand if I deliberately choose the page in the thumbnail of the Page, but I navigate through the pages directly, so I find myself insert documents before the wrong page.

  Unfortunately, I can not simply dismiss the pane with the ESC key. I have to click on in the pane thumbnail to make it disappear, which takes the time I spend my hands on the keyboard to the mouse. If I could just prevent thumbnails Page to display in the first place, I would be able to accomplish my tasks much more quickly.

  This is the default and not configurable behavior by the end user.

  Perhaps a future update or the next version will address this (or maybe not).

  Under Edit - Prefs. - Documents check the box that says "Restore last display settings when reopening documents." Hide the Pages panel manually, and the next time that you open the file it should have disappeared.

  You can access it via the keyboard, but it's probably not as direct as you want: Ctrl + Shift + F5 to home open or mounted on the side navigation, press Ctrl + Tab to go to Panel following if the Pages panel isn't at the top as it is by default or if a different navigation panel has focus.

  On my Windows XP 64 machine which is running two 1920 x 1200 monitors through NVIDIA Quadro FX 4600 with the latest drivers, I have the following problem: in Acrobat and InDesign miniature pageviews do not show all of the thumbnail regardless of settings or proportions of the view. For example, in InDesign, the substantive portions of thumbnails is not visible and the scroll bar appears with display vertically on in Options, and the slide on the right side of the window appear with display vertically off the coast.

  I do not see that the behavior you describe in the ID pages Panel is related to a bug in how Acrobat displays page thumbnails. I seriously doubt that both use any code in common, and you describe vignettes truncated, while also completely omitted described referenced thread thumbnails.

  If your point was that there might be a bug in the ID that is causing your problem, it doesn't seem likely that he was not reported here before that I can remember, and a problem with the display of the pages Panel would have generated a LOT of comment now. • Impossible to manipulate pages using page thumbnails. Cannot view.

  I recently downloaded Adobe ACrobat XI Pro of the Cloud. It doesn't seem to work properly. There are really two problems:

  1. in some cases, when I open a PDF file, my bar tools change is not available to all (gray). None of these tools appear in the right-hand column under tools more, but I'm able to display and hide their grace to the navigation of the page editing tools.

  2. also, in some cases, but not all, I'll open a PDF and when I discover through thumbnails of the page left, it won't allow me to move or remove pages. I can only see, nothing else.

  In both cases, I can't find support to help me solve problems. Can someone help me?

  Understand the problem. My computer is set by default to player and program not full acrobat.

• Page thumbnails navigation is more on the side bar, now a pop up?

  I have noticed in the last day or two that my Pages feature on the left navigation bar is no longer there.  When I go to view > Navigation panels > Pages he will come to the top, but in a pop-up window.  Why is this?

  I rely on this feature to move pages back and forth between documents on two different monitors and pop ups for each document appear at once.  For example, when I click on a thumbnail in a document on my left monitor pop-up that has been in a document on my right monitor will disappear... so I did not have the case to drag the page.

  Is it possible that I can get the navigation Pages toolbar to show on the toolbar on the left hand upward (with bookmarks, spare part, signatures, etc.)?

  BTW, I have Adobe Acrobat 9 Professional, Microsoft Windows XP Professional Version 2002 SP3.  I also have a plug-in Evermap for bookmarks on my Adobe but I had for over 6 months and have not had this problem until the last 2 days or more.

  It was sort of off-station. Anchor, click the Pages of Word in the floating window (as opposed to the top bar) and drag it back, or you can select: view > Navigation panels > dock all panels

  I posted this in the PS forum with someone getting back to suggesting me that indesign CS5 can have a script included in the layout of equal size thumbnails and evenly spaced.  My client wants that all of their products in small vignettes as a directory of sorts within the first page of the product catalog.

  Any ideas?

  With CS4 and CS5, you can select all your images in the Place dialog box, then hold down the Alt + Option + shift (or something like that). You should see the cursor change a small grid icon; Drag onto your page to define the outer limits of the rectangle they wanted in, up and down and left and right arrows to change the number of lines and columns.

  Just upgraded from 12 to 13, new tab page looks terrible. Most of the images show tiled versions of Web pages, with about 1.8 copies of each page horizontally and vertically 1.5 in each image.

  Try turning off hardware acceleration.

  I want to make the miniature page in the left Navigation pane to show a default.

  I open them and then make the file-> output but when I come back they do not display.

  I also want the adjustment to the window to be default too. Same problem as above.

  Help appreciated.

  You can't set it as a default for all files, only on a file by file basis.
