• Article page thumbnail view

  I have fairly large articles with many pages.  How can I do so when a user touches the article while looking to bring up the options, it also evokes the small page down to scroll and select/navigate thumbs? It was a device in DPS using slips, but page thumbnails are not displayed on the background in the items of the MEA. Y at - there a step I am missing to make them appear in the Viewer application?

  Hey Bill;

  I think you're describing the navigation features that we had in the original DPS. The scrolling navigation in the articles in a folio is not part of the new product. I suspect that it's down to a folio had information on all the articles that were in it, while a collection is a container that is more flexible and does not have information that would support the scroll with thumbnails of each article.

• Truncated (incomplete) Page-Thumbnail View (6.03)

  On my Windows XP 64 machine which is running two 1920 x 1200 monitors through NVIDIA Quadro FX 4600 with the latest drivers, I have the following problem: in Acrobat and InDesign miniature pageviews do not show all of the thumbnail regardless of settings or proportions of the view. For example, in InDesign, the substantive portions of thumbnails is not visible and the scroll bar appears with display vertically on in Options, and the slide on the right side of the window appear with display vertically off the coast.

  I do not see that the behavior you describe in the ID pages Panel is related to a bug in how Acrobat displays page thumbnails. I seriously doubt that both use any code in common, and you describe vignettes truncated, while also completely omitted described referenced thread thumbnails.

  If your point was that there might be a bug in the ID that is causing your problem, it doesn't seem likely that he was not reported here before that I can remember, and a problem with the display of the pages Panel would have generated a LOT of comment now. Try to replace your preferences or udating the video driver.

• Missing headers... now the missing pages

  I use InDesign CC2014, with the current updates. The file in question, is 566-page, all text, no pictures. 30 chapters, all based on the first chapter.

  The other day, I opened the file, and the half common titles disappeared (all the titles on the back of the power were simply not there, not on the page, not on the masters).

  I loaded the masters from a previous version, and everything was OK.  I made a PDF, print, everything was fine.

  I have opened today, the file to edit, and massive pages are missing.  I noticed that, when you perform a search by Word, and the result I kept taking back to the first page.  Looking down from the Pages Palette, I saw empty pages.  When I scroll box of cardboard we huge gaps and missing pages:

  I would say that the file is damaged beyond redemption, probably. My strategy at this stage would be to delete all but the first page, then place the text cursor in the text on the first page without selecting anything. File > export... and choose referenced text in InDesign.

  Create a new file and place the exported tagged text and see if everything is there.

• I want to insert a page in Acrobat XI, but I don't want the Page thumbnails to display

  I find that my editing of document becomes more complicated when I insert a page, because Show Page thumbnails. This new feature throws me because I can not navigate via the open tiles with arrow keys (I can work around this by pressing the right arrow key, then enter, but it is very annoying).

  To compound my problem, when I want to insert a document before the page is displayed on the screen, it sometimes does not work because there is another page selected in the thumbnail of the Page, I can understand if I deliberately choose the page in the thumbnail of the Page, but I navigate through the pages directly, so I find myself insert documents before the wrong page.

  Unfortunately, I can not simply dismiss the pane with the ESC key. I have to click on in the pane thumbnail to make it disappear, which takes the time I spend my hands on the keyboard to the mouse. If I could just prevent thumbnails Page to display in the first place, I would be able to accomplish my tasks much more quickly.

  This is the default and not configurable behavior by the end user.

  Perhaps a future update or the next version will address this (or maybe not).

  Under Edit - Prefs. - Documents check the box that says "Restore last display settings when reopening documents." Hide the Pages panel manually, and the next time that you open the file it should have disappeared.

  I want to know if there is a keyboard shortcut is to click on the thumbnails Page button to view the Page thumbnails pane, and if so - what is it?

  You can access it via the keyboard, but it's probably not as direct as you want: Ctrl + Shift + F5 to home open or mounted on the side navigation, press Ctrl + Tab to go to Panel following if the Pages panel isn't at the top as it is by default or if a different navigation panel has focus.

• Missing page numbers

  I have several spreads from a template with missing page numbers. I think that this occurred when I reproduced spreads and modified. The following pages are accuately are numbered sequentially, thereby acknowledging the pages with missing numbers. I tried applying the master, but that did not work.

  Open the LAYERS Panel and add a new layer. Go to the master page and select the objects in the header and foot of page, and then in the find panel layers the little colored square on the right side of the layer 1, click and drag the layer 2.  Your objects will now be on layer 2. Lock the layer so that you do not use it for other objects in the background.

• Why don't I see the page thumbnail in the taskbar?

  When a page I pined to the task bar that I used to be able to see the thumbnail of the page when I put my cursor on it, but now it appears the name of the page instead of an image. I've lived all of the customization of your task bar options and it will not change again. What Miss me?

  There are a few resolutions for that. It really depends of more information you've offered so far. Here is a partial list of the causes and solutions:

  • The list of text will appear when you have too many items opened at list horizontally thumbnail Aero Peek. If you shrink it pages of documents open/web/etc number will return the thumbnails.
  • Restart the computer. Sometimes different Aero features seem to get caught up like logs in a river. Restarting the computer can solve this problem without making other changes to your current settings.
  • Right-click on an empty area of the desktop and select personalize. Choose any theme listed in section Thèmes Aero of the options change the visuals and sounds on your computer
  • Click Start or press the Windows key and type (or paste) in transparency but do not hit . In the list above, select find and fix problems with transparency and other Visual effects . Follow through the Convenience store Aero to solve your problem.

  One or the other of these options should get your thumbnail Aero back in working order.

• Numbers and missing Pages

  Applications Pages and Numbers is missing from my MacBook Pro.  What can I do to find or to reload these applications.

  If you are still on the Mountain Lion, then you deal in two scenarios:

  1. You purchased and downloaded Pages ' 09 and Numbers ' 09 the OS X App store before the fall of 2013.
  2. You have installed the iWork ' 09 DVD retail

  If point 1 and if you have a Time Machine backup that contains these applicatiions autonomous, then by all means, just to restore them. Otherwise, visit the OS X App Store purchases tab and see if there are entries for these older applications. If this isn't the case, then it is unlikely that it remains available in to redownload of the OS X App Store, Apple withdrew long products. You can try the installation/download to reinstall these applications to Mountain Lion, but he may scold you v5.6.1 and numbers 3.6.1 pages being incompatible.

  If the point 2, then you need to reinstall in iWork ' 09 DVD retail, then followed with updated Apple iWork 9.3 (gets you updated to v4.3 Pages, Numbers and Keynote 5.3 v2.3). That update Apple is only used with iWork ' 09 DVD applications. If your version of Mac OS X is more recent than your indicated Mountain Lion, this paragraph is so how you get Pages ' 09 and Numbers ' 09 return, including on El Capitan.

  If your signature is old, and you are eager to get some Pages and Numbers v3 v5 release, then things get more interesting:

  1. Versions of pages and Numbers or less 5.2.2 and 3.2.2 are limited to the Mavericks, and these are now unavailable from the OS X App Store.
  2. The current versions on the App Store (v5.6.1 Pages, v3.6.1) now require that OS X 10.10.4). or later, or they install on the OS X App Store
     1. If you are on OS X 10.10.4 or later, sign in the OS X App Store and on the purchases tab, reinstall the Pages and Numbers.

• Missing pages from PC

  I re-formated my PC and went to download the latest drivers and the driver page is missing.

  I can still get to certain pages for the Compaq Presario SR5413WM desktop PC, but not the driver page.

  I don't know if this is the right place to ask for information or suggestions, but it can't hurt.

• HP officejet Pro 8600 +: Missing page in the «HP Print for Chrome» software orientation option

  I can print OK in the format default portrait of a model of Toshiba Chromebook CB30-B-104 for a HP Officejet Pro 8600 + using "HP Print for Chrome" (installed from the app store for Google Chrome), but I can't find an option anywhere to change the page orientation. So if I print a document/image oriented in landscape format, it occupies only half a page of A4 portrait oriented superior. I tried to turn the image/document in the print dialog, but the rotation is ignored when printing is performed.

  Is this a "bug" or am I missing something?

  My original statement was misleading. I should have checked my facts more in detail.

  I cannot find an option called "Layout" to select "Wonderful landscape" or "Portrait" page orientation when you try to print the PDF files. When you try to print from other sources, the 'Layout' option seems OK.

  Welcome to the Forums of HP's Support. I understand that you have a problem with the page orientation when printing with HP for Chrome print Chromebook. I would like to help,

  When I tried printing of Chrome app I had an orientation option. I pull a document and press Ctrl + P.

  Then I double checked that Print of Chrome was my printer destination. (I also use Google Cloud Print to the same printer).

  My options going to the bottom of the list are Destination, Pages, and page layout. Put in page gives me the ability to change from portrait to landscape.

  Have you tried to uninstall and reinstall the application?

  1. Click on the list of apps icon in the launcher at the bottom of the screen.
  2. Find your application in the list and right-click (click with two fingers on a Chromebook) its icon.
  3. Select Delete chrome.

  Gives it a try and let me know how it works.

• recurring problem of missing page file

  Hello

  Please help me with my problem. I bought a new HARD drive and installed windows 7 64 bit on it, but whenever I start, it must create the file of the page again. This is what happened:
  (1) old HDD (drive C :) connected for virgins letter new HARD drive, then it has been formatted using "Disk management"
  (2) new format disk HARD drive letter "B:" receipt
  (3) windows 7 64 bit ultimate installed on drive B: but does not start (on its own)
  (4) old HDD reconnected, then "Disk management" used to make new small 200 MB partition with the letter "s": the new HARD drive
  (5) bcdboot.exe used to make bootable S:
  (6) white new HDD now boots but the page is missing every time windows started and Windows Experience Index cannot take place due to "missing file". "Disk management" always shows the swap file in the partition of S.
  I tried to delete the letter S without success (using the old drive connected HARD and 'Disk Management') and 'disable' the pagefile on S: and creating a to B: but nothing doesn't work or is permanent.
  Please advise me. Thank you

  Windows does not swap files on removable media (such as a USB flash drive). Anything under the drive A: or B: letters is deemed be removable media. It is a vestige of the era of MS-DOS when floppy disk drives came in first!

  Therefore, if a fixed hard drive is labeled in this way, Windows does not create a pagefile on this subject. The solution is to change the respective in C: or higher drive letter.

• Missing video thumbnails

  My video thumbnails disappeared earlier, and I just found out that its more than likely of me accidentally delete the Shmedia.dll another uninstall program. Is there anywhere I can reaquire this file and my thumb nails may work again correctly? Thank you in advance for your help!

  b. all the videos on the lost computer prediction of nail?
   
  If the problem occurs only after the accidental deletion of the file Shmedia.dll , re - register the dll file and check if this solves the problem.
   
  To re-record the shmedia.dll file, follow these steps:
   
  1. click on Start, type cmd, right click and select run as administrator.
  2. use the following command to install the shmedia.dll file:
   
  regsvr32 shmedia.dll
   
  Re-install the file shmedia.dll resolves miniature issues with video files?
