  Actually, the manual says if I just read that Trail Bay models have 2 memory slots. I am skeptical. Is yours have a coverage of service for memory? If this isn't the case, it will require removal of the motherboard to access.

  It seems that DDR3L-1600 memory is compatible with all versions of this model of laptop, even if some will be downclock at 1333.

  The official number of HP for a 8 GB module is:

  Recently, I tried upgrading my laptop RAM 8 GB which is max you may have to wait. The RAM sticks were (x 2) DDR3 4 GB Samsung 1600 12800 mhz 1.35v. The system has detected the new RAM, showed the new memory and even spent the memory test. But this isn't the windows startup. I tried to clear CMOS. But without success. Do not let me windows. BIOS version is up to date (F29). Is there any setting for this?

  You can update the RAM up to 8 GB, but as much as I know bus Frontal (FSB) is limited to 1066 Mhz

  Even if you want to use the 1333 Mhz modules, the FSB would be clock speed to the 1066 Mhz is not worth to use 1333 Mhz as this seed would not be used.

  It is the 15-n233sl model and the plug you have 6 GB. See page 42 of the manual here:

  The manual indicates that it takes up to 12 GB which is a 4 GB and 8 GB module to the module but regularly, users have reported success with 2 x 8 GB for a total of 16 concerts. For most of the users 8 GB is a lot and it would mean just remove the module from 2 gig you have now and its replacement by a 4 GB. What that you choose to do I would have 2 modules size even for enable support dual channel. 8 concerts running dual channel is likely to be just as good as 12 concerts running in single channel due to incompatible modules.   Welcome to the HP support forum.  Regarding the drivers there are all listed on the HP website.  The drivers are listed according to the product and only drivers that we support are listed on the support Web site. Here is the link to the drivers for your laptop model.

  Some of the major changes between the Windows 8.1 and 8.1Pro are:

  (1) a system running Pro can join to a domain.

  (2) pro comes with Bitlocker allows to encrypt your disks

  (3) on a system running Pro, you can the remote desktop on this computer.

  Here is a link to show you the comparisson.

  These drivers are the same for Windows 8.1 and 8.1 pro for most, unless there is a custom configuration.   So for your laptop, as long as it has not customized somehow provided for Windows 8.1 drivers will work for works for Windows Pro 8.1.  Here is a link that may be useful as well.

  I have an A10 with 512 MB DDR PC2100 CL2.5 Satellite Pro (266) and want to upgrade to 1024Mo with two sticks of 512 MB. The scanner memory Crucial sites says I can do it and PC2700 (333) too.

  I bought the package and install, it worked for a day or so then wouldn't boot, no LOGO from BIOS Toshiba no tray DVD not free either. When I put the old RAM, things were ok. .

  So my question is really:

  The A10 is able to use the RAM PC2700 as Crucial says he is or they is bad.
  Textbooks do not give the answer.

  I ve checked the specs of the laptop and it says that you can upgrade your laptop up to 1 GB of RAM and compatible RAM module for upgrade is PC2100 512 MB (PA3164U - 1 M 51). Check it please this part number. This module is 100% compatible and you can use it with an old man.

  Maybe it sounds silly now but Crucial is not the best option. Many people have claimed about similar problems using critical modules.
