Laptop memory DV9720us

Is the statement 2G of RAM will hold all my laptop?  I heard about some systems, be able to handle more than the indicated maximum. for 2 dwellings.  If so, should what kind I buy?

The laptop comes with memory 2 X 1 GB to the two available slots. The laptop is able to support up to 2 X 2 GB strips to 4 GB.

Memory each slot can hold DDR2 PC2-6400, DDR2 PC2-5300 with a maximum of 2 GB per slot.

I was unable to find guaranteed compatible expansion modules appear to be available to Kingston or Corsair.

Guaranteed compatible using modules in a major memory manufacturer upgrade is the way to go if you want no surprises when you plug new modules. Do not add the new memory module that is already there. Remove the original memory unless you can locate a module that is identical in every respect to be placed in the empty soDIMM slot. You don't have to try to match the specifications of the module of the computer laptop memory published unless you like surprises.

  • On my computer laptop memory...

    Hello..

I have HP Pavilion g6-2080se Notebook PC... This works perfectly... I want to ask.

What is the maximum amount of memory I can install with my laptop... ?   8 GB or more... ?

    He currently 6 GB...

What type of memory... ?   SDRAM or what... ?

my maximum bandwidth of memory is 800 MHZ... I can install new memory with a bandwidth superior (1600) ?

    Hello

Maximum number is 8 GB as shown:

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c03292465

Yes, you MAY be able to install 1 upper stage, but the system will still work at 800 MHz.  You can watch the "SPD" tab to know the brand and model of RAM. Looks like you have 2 + 4, now check SPD tab to find out the information of 4 GB and buy same RAM of same brand, then you will be OK.

    Kind regards.

Since you're running 32 bit 4 GB would be your MAX.

If you were running 64-bit, it would be 8 GB MAX.

You do not have an mSATA slot. See page 44 here:

You can also install a standard 2.5-inch SATA SSD. The mSATA reader is intended only for a cache of acceleration and cannot be implemented as the main system hard drive to the operating system without very advanced configuration that can make only a computer engineer.

  • Computer ze2315us Pavilion laptop memory upgrade

I have install 2 GB of ram in the system, and now it crashes at startup, after talking with a technician in Kingston, he said that my system could a maximum of 1 GB, 2 x 512. My question is there a flash update or a way to change the max memory in the Bios?

The controller memory your laptop uses ATI RS200M series of Northbridge. It may only be able to treat up to 1 G (2 x 512 MB).

There is no update of the BIOS can increase the address space for this memory controller and therefore it is the maximum space of memory for this series of laptop.

    Hello

No, you can not as it is stated: "One SODIMM housing of memory module not customer-accessible/upgradable (Pentium, Celeron processors)" and your machine uses the processor "2.16 GHz Intel Celeron N2830 processor with Turbo Boost Technology up to 2.41 GHz" as shown:

See page 104 in the following Service & maintenance Guide. Max memory installed is 16 GB.  This involves some pretty extensive laptop disassembly. Most of the people would not attempt it.

  • My HP zv6008cl laptop memory support?

He has fleas of DDR PC2700 512 K, but it will do better?

    Hello:

This is the page for specifications of product for your laptop.

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c00308221

    Max memory is DDR PC2700 2 x 1 GB.

You can also run the DDR-PC3200, but I do not know if the memory runs at 400 MHz or 333 MHz.

If the PC3200 memory is the same price as the PC2700, you have nothing to lose by recovering.

I like the tool to scan the crucial memory. I recommend you go and see what it reports.

  • G60-519WM laptop memory upgrade

    Howdy, y ' All,.

I intend to install an application that requires 4 GB. My G60-519WM (Celeron 900 2.2 GHz, Win7 Pro SP1 64-bit, fully patched) has 3 GB of PC2 - 6400. CPU - Z shows that slot 1 (on the motherboard I guess) contains a 2 GB PC2-6400 SO-DIMM. Slot 2, accessible from the bottom of the case, although I have not opened yet, contains 1 Go PC2-6400.

The mobo includes the Intel GL40 chipset, which supports up to 4 GB of DDR3 at 800 MHz, according to the data sheet of Intel. Can I use PC3-6400 in my system? I ask because I've seen systems where the BIOS does not support modules of memory than the chipset. If so, how don't disassemble the case to get to the BAR on the mobo?

I hope a PC3-6400 upgrade improve performance a bit and slightly increase the battery life.

    André.

    Hi, Andre:

Here is the link to the service manual for your laptop.

    http://bizsupport2.Austin.HP.com/BC/docs/support/SupportManual/c02985882/c02985882.PDF

Removal and replacement procedures are in Chapter 4.

Info memory are in Chapter 1, page 1-3.

    Maximum is 2 x 2 GB memory PC2-6400.

DDR3 memory is incompatible with your PC and to prevent us to install the bad memory of speed DDR desktop and portable PC in memory slots are cut in different places.

  • the upgrade of memory in the laptop memory game

I just got a HP Envy DV6-7213NR: laptop and I noticed he has 4gigs memory generic.  I would replace that memory with memory game.  first whats the memory limit that this notebook can handle memory wise?  the laptop is running 8.1 win I was hoping to put 8 GB of kingston hyperx.  is it feasible?  Since there is an open additional memory slot

and were therefore is the best place to get memory for the price.  This will be a lapop games so I need speed so if kingston is perhaps not the corsair anaswere or another set of ram would work.  This is my first laptop and any advice you can offer would be apprecieated thx.

The following illustration shows what is compatible with your laptop.  Memory DDR3-1600 Mhz , this is what is supported by the BIOS and motherboard.  To upgrade beyond 4 GB, you will need to install a 64-bit operating system. Your laptop has no BIOS options which would have a game system that allow the installation of modules of memory (high performance) of higher bandwidth.

  • G62 - 227 CL laptop memory upgrade

I have a laptop G62 - 227 CL, and I want to add memory.  What kind of memory will work?  Ideally, I would like to add 4 GB to the existing 3 GB.  Should I add two of the 2 GB 1066 MHz PC3 8500 DDR 3 modules, or can I add the single 4 GB DDR3 - 1333?

(I think that my system supports 1 066 MHz.  Does DDR3-1333 working more slowly, or it wouldn't work at all?)

The 4 1333 module is much cheaper than two 2 GB 1066 modules, that's why I ask.  Thank you very much for your help!

    Michael

The unique 4 GB stick will work (1333Mz), make sure and insert it into the lower slot. You can also use the other key to 2 GB with 4 for a total of 6 GB.

It is advisable to use matched memory pairs, but it will be fine mix and match.

Here are a few different types of combos of Crucial.

    http://www.crucial.com/store/listparts.aspx?model=HP%20G62-227CL&cat=RAM

Your device supports both and 1333 Mz will be faster, but you will really notice the difference in speed.

    Here is the Service Manual:

    Manual

I looked towards the top of your card and you have an i5 processor, so you have 2 slots and the laptop can take up to 16 GB of RAM in the form of a pair of 8 GB SO-DIMM of DDR3L-1600 modules. 16 gigs is more than likely, you need and 2 x 4 will be many. For 8 (2 x 4), you just get a module more than 4 GB.

Now for the bad news. See page 76 of the manual. Memory access requires the removal of the motherboard, which is not an easy task.
