Latitude E6430 - failure after update of 5200 M Intel HD 4000 NVS and nVidida drivers

At work, I have a laptop Latitude E6430 with Win7 Pro 64 bit. I lived a few problems when you try to connect the PC to a TV via HDMI. So I tried to update the video drivers from the Dell website. If I remember correctly, I first installed the Intel HD 4000 driver, but I chose the 32-bit driver mistakenly. A pop up during installation process said that the pilot was incorrect, and I found the good 64 bit - driver and installed it. Then I installed the driver of 5200 M 64 bit NVS.

The PC was working fine after the reboot. But the next time I start the PC, I got a blue screen and was forced to do a windows system restore. I tried to reinstall the drivers, but the result was the same when the PC restarted. After several restorations system I got to a point where no where left in the Device Manager, only the generic Windows VGA driver Intel or nVidia-drivers. If I try to install the Intel driver that he told me that the system violates the basic requirements to install, the alias does not appear to be the graphics card. If I try the nVidia installation driver goes OK, but Windows hangs after reboot.

The it Department now did a new install of Win7 (but not yet installed all Dell drivers in the order listed). They tried installing the Intel driver but got the same pop up like me. They say they have managed to install the driver of nVidida without problem (at least for the next reboot...).

What is the problem and what is the solution?

Hello

You ask to go to the BIOS (F2 on startup) screen, move to the video tab, select Optimus and check the option enable the optimus. This should help. You can also view the photo for more information below:

  • After the last updates of windows have problems with start up and now drivers

    Hello

    After the last updates of windows have problems with start up and now drivers. I get an error code 21 when I try to install the drivers AMD apparently missing.

    May 14, last night I had several (automatically) downloaded windows update

    Today, I was unable to boot my computer with Windows - tried the disk check, start checks etc, and eventually had to use System Restore (for help before the critical update to restore).

    Perfection, everything works, but knowing that windows will attempt to redo an automatic update, tried to check online - no one seemed to have a problem and (naivly) thinking I could always do another restore of the system, I rebooted again.

    Same thing worse. Could not do a sys restore either just before restarting or last night. Chose a date earlier (last week) but then lost the USB drivers and pilots display. Downloaded updated but refuses to let my AMD driver install Windows I have a very unpleasant screen... and I must now stop the installation of this update "critical."

    Would appreciate advice how do my installed display driver or whether anyone else has problems following this update

    Thank you

    Hi Jane,

    You have a disk to install Windows 7 with you?

    I suggest you to check the event viewer for error details report.

  • Boot failure after update BIOS on T110ii

    I've just updated my BIOS on my T110ii (from 1.1.1 2.8.0) (because I've been doing a few crashes which must be fixed by firmware updates intel).

    However, after the update, it does not start and displays the seeing '3' with no output vga or ipmi diagnostic.

    The sequence is:

    * 3 diagnostic lights

    For a few moments 1 and 4 light as well, and fan goes to rpm max

    * Then only 3 stays on and the indicator of the health of the system flashes orange.

    The documentation suggests it is failure of CPU, but this seems very unlikely given that it was before the update of the BIOS.

    I tried to clear the NVRAM and disconnect everything I can from the motherboard, but it does not help.

    Is there anything else I can try?

    Are there known issues with the upgrade from 1.1.1 to 2.8.0? (I couldn't see everything in the documentation).

    I found some other threads where people have had systems that no longer start after updating the bios, so I wonder if there is an underlying problem.

    JimmyHo.

    The question wasn't just update the BIOS, it is to jump from a large number of updates. The people you see have reported the update problems that were often due to jump a lot of updates, including updates listed as Urgent. As each of the updates to the BIOS relies on the last, jump if you can lose substantial parts updates of BIOS. With going from 1.1.1 2.8.0 that you jumped 11 or 12 updates, so unfortunately it seems that the BIOS is now corrupt, which would require to replace the motherboard.

    I would like to know if this helps, although it is not what you were eager to hear.

  • After update to FF12 - use of the cpu, slower and unresponsible

    Nothing new - he had year ago and I couldn't fix it. Now, the issue is back. Firefox after about 10-20 minutes starts to work slow awfuly. Like, goes to a small number of new tabs makes good unresposnible a few seconds, the browser does not respond to what that it either, typing is 'invislbe' and only appears after a few seconds, then there frozen again for a while, as all scripts on the newly opened site needs good two seconds for himself. At that time, the uses of FF upward at more than 25% of my CPU (AMD Phenom 955 BE - 4 hearts, 3.2 GHz with 8 GB DDR3 RAM). And it also affects the whole system - everything is "stuttering" FF is doing. And it appeared that after the upgrade of FF11 to FF12 - similar thing that's happened in the last year, when I had to completely re - install the whole browser after update. And now, I'm new here, too tired to even think of clear all, completely new installation FF and import all the stuff.

    I tried to reinstall soft, started in Mode safe mode with disabled modules (same thing, after some time, the "suttering" occurs), clear memory cache, re - install Java (which seemed to help a little). Any ideas what the hell is wrong? I don't want to create a new profile and move everything - I want my current profile over to work as it should. I'm really tired of who - I am also using Opera and Chrome (I am a developer web, so I need them), but I like FF the more, but with this problem occurring over and over again after a while, I really think to give up Firefox.

    My problems were related to the addon of all in a sidebar. Which have been set by the last update.

I went to the Intel download page to obtain the driver but it says that I need to get the update via a manufacturer's site. Finally I went to the support page for my laptop, but it still has the old version to download. Why am I unable to get the latest version? I am running Win 7 64 bit

  • BSOD after updating Flash 10.2.152.26 using FF and Seamonkey

    After the update to Flash 10.2.152.26, each time trying to open a site containing flash (like youtube, adobe.de etc.), the system is freecing and follows a BSOD.

    The module causing the BSOD is watchdog.sys.

    Failure happens all the time using Firefox 3.6.13 or Seamonkey 2.0.11.

    The system is Win XP Pro SP 3 with all real security updates.

    System security is made with Avira Antivir personal, Spybot S & D and Threatfire.

    All programs have been installed in weeks before and up to what the flash update it there were no BSOD during the past years.

    My Questions:

    -is this known problem of other people using flash in combination with the SS or Seamonkey - or with other programs running in the background such as MSN, ICQ, YAHOO Messenger etc...

    -How can I get an older version of flash - there is no download available on Adobes Webside

    The BSOD occurs also on the test page http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/ FP?

    Otherwise, right click on the Flash object, settings, and then clear the hardware acceleration.

  • Can the "first run after update of Firefox" (aka. "What's New" and "Add-on compatibility check") be disabled?

    We intend to deploy an update to Firefox on our campus. The question I have is this: after the update, the "compatibility of the add-on Checker" appears, then the 'What's new' page appears during the first boot after the update. In this case: we use Deep Freeze to prevent kids to do any mischief based on software on the machines. But if we push the update at night, during maintenance windows, they will be frozen in the pre-first-time-run mode. So, whenever a student starts the PC after that, they will get the popup of compatibility both the "What's new" page

    Is there a way I can disable that during the upgrade, so that students will not have to click on these 2 points away? I would like for Firefox just silently disable incompatible modules and do not display the page "news". I found ways to do it, but they involve editing omni.jar and others. I'd rather have a formal, documented way to do this.

    Thank you!!

    Well, eventually nothing worked, except all the settings I wanted to put in part of mozilla.cfg. When I added your suggestion, and one I found on the web to disable add-on compatibility check, I finally have a Firefox that loads directly to the homepage, even after the upgrade.

    Here's what my mozilla.cfg file contains (to 6.0.2):

    // Disable any auto-updates.
    lockPref("app.update.enabled", false);
    lockPref("extensions.update.enabled", false);
    lockPref("browser.search.update", false);
    lockPref("browser.startup.homepage_override.mstone", "ignore");
    lockPref("extensions.checkCompatibility.6.0", false);

    Of course, I must make the byteshift-13 at it, but copy the Core\ file and the file firefox.js to Core\Defaults\Pref\ the round is played.

    Thanks for the help!

  • After update to Muse I miss my ftp info and I'm saving my sites as a new documents

    Will there be any may around returning the ftp info for each project and registration as a new document after every little Museupdate?

    ++ m

    Not sure on the news of ftp but with regard to registration a new document, you don't have to save as a new document, you can over write the old one if you wish. The reason why is because it's once you register in the new version, you can longer open in an older version of Muse. By saving it as a new document, you can have a backup in case something does not work in the new version of your site or if someone you work with it has not upgraded. But you can safe a little longer to write the current muse file in most cases.

  • Updated Emachine T2858 Windows XP to Windows 7 and need drivers.

    Original title: old drivers for win7 emachinexp need 2

    Updated Emachine T2858XP/WIN7 YELLOW BRAND, network adapter driver controller, multimedia audio controller x 2, SMBus controller driver

    Hello

    Because drivers are available for Windows XP, it seems that the system is not fully compatible for Windows 7.

    The only driver available for download on the eMachine site is for the Chipset drivers.

    eMachine

    You can try the chipset driver update and check if it helps. If you are facing problems to install the drivers, then try to install it in compatibility mode and check if it helps.

    If you have the available of eMachine drivers CD, you can use them to install the drivers.

    You can also try running updates of Windows to check and install updates driver as an option for the system.

    Automatically get recommended drivers and updates for your hardware

    If the problem persists, you can contact eMachine support for assistance.

    Hope the helps of information.
