  Hello! A few months ago, I bought a Dell processors E7450 and controller. One of the main reasons for choosing this laptop was the battery. According to critics, it should do more than 8 hours of web browsing.

  It was apparently far from the truth. The laptop is the best 3-4 hours of moderate use. Probably because of the 840 m GPU nvidia. I thought I'd be able to manually disable the GPU in the BIOS, but there is no option for this.

  Is it possible to increase the autonomy? Dell support would be able to help me somehow?

  Contacted dell support and they delivered a new battery.

  Also in the menu setting nvidia integrated graphics card will disable nvidia GPU completely.

• How to disable the Touchpad in processors E7450 and controller

  We just bought some 7470 models and encountered the same problem with our McAfee encryption server. Not sure if this is related, but that's my dose. I worked on it for hours with our custom and same image image pre-installed OEM. Still, a fatal error after encryption. I tried downgrading and upgrading the BIOS.

  As a last effort of sigh, I changed the BIOS settings SATA Operation to RAID on AHCI.

  Now, all laptops E7470 start perfectly. I hope this helps.

  I found this one for a HP Envy, but as mentioned, it will work fine for a dv8, or any other laptop with burner HP hardware 3D of the guard.
