Lenovo ideapad laptop z500 won't start without the cable connected

Hello

My z500 cannot start without power cable is plugged. In general, a few seconds after I saw the lenovo logo, the system stops suddenly as if the battery was removed.however, if on that I connect the cable to the laptop and power, all right, I can enter in windows 8, or ubuntu, after I enter the OS, I can disconnect the power cable without any battery problems.the is healthy and can last for more than 2 hours. Is it someone has an idea what is the problem and how to solve

so far, I have tried the following methods:

1 update BIOS

2 firmware update of the battery

3 reset the BIOS

None of them worked for me

    ·          What version of the operating system is running on your computer?

    ·          Where there are changes made to your computer before this problem?

    ·          Question took place even after the computer has been restored to its original state?

  • Laptop will not start without the battery attached

    Hello

I have a Hp pavilion dv6700 series (dv6840el) and just, it will not start without the battery attached.

If I plug in the AC adapter, I get some computer activity (fan, noise of the dvd player and HD drive spins) for about 5 seconds, then shuts down.

Once I plug the battery (which is dying, who need a replacement), the laptop starts fine.

So my question is: what is a motherboard or a problem with the AC adapter?

The AC adapter looks ok, however. But if I am considering buying a spare battery, I assure you that I have a new adapter as well.

    Thanks in advance.

  • XP Home Edition does not start without the installation CD after reinstall.

I reinstalled XP Home Edition on my PC without formatting the drive first in order to keep all of my data.  I have installed all service packs.  However, for some reason, I had to call Microsoft to get validated.  The only problem I have now is that it does not start without the installation CD in the drive.  I have XP on the half before the C drive and me on the back of half.  The reader is a digital WD800JBRTL of Western.  Well it worked like that for years. Why can I now not start without the CD?

    HiNeal2660,

It seems that the NTLDR file is not on the C: drive. NTLDR is the boot loader for all versions of Windows.

You can perform a Windows XP repair installation & check if you are able to start normally.

For more information, please visit this link: perform a repair Installation

Hope the helps of information. Please post back and we do know.

  • Vista - computer will not start without the disc

loaded vista on my computer - now computer will not start without the disc

Went into my bios as suggested to check the boot order - and, Yes, I got HDD1 as first boot then CD - but then I remembered something I had seen earlier on my computer - it was on the list the HD which had my system like HDD0 files - so, I checked and there it was - listed option HDD0 so I changed HDD1 of HDD0 and was able to boot my computer without the disk system.  Hope this helps someone else with the same prob.

  • PCI-MIO-16-1 shows the digital inputs 1-7 on, without same cable connected

Max, my PCI-MIO-16-1 shows the digital inputs 1-7 as having entries of tension without same cable connected to the Board. No amount of spin with her (to the MAX) seems so he can act correctly in input or output mode. It's true, there are voltages on these pins. If I connect my cable (to a TBX-68 block), I see that it has on $line0 (on port0) 0v, 5v on line7 and 2, 5V on the rest. Trying to put these lines to something else in MAX seems to do nothing. (I also can't control the OD, either.)

This card has tried to get a couple of have Weiwei at high speed. Now that I'm branching out, I found a strange behaviour. Of course, I tried to restart and turn off the computer and turn it back on. Automatic test MAX Returns instantly with a message "transmitted", that gives me hope, even if I don't trust the speed at which it seems to perform the check.

I'm a complete noob at this stuff. Is there something obvious that I might be dominant? Is there a way I can test more deeply that the card works as it should?

The open connections to the TTL inputs are usually detected as logic 1. You are not testing properly. Connect an entry to two gnd or + 5V. Don't let them ever floating.

  • Lenovo Ideapad z565 - how to check and activate the virtual technology (VT) in BIOS

I tried to use virtualization on my Lenovo Ideapad z565 laptop. The laptop is running only Windows 7 Home premium 64 OEM installed. It's an AMD processor dual core. I tried to get some VMWare images into VMWare workstation running on my laptop. Images VMWare has always seem to crash when you try to start them. I read on various forums that this is probably due to virtualization (VT) 'No' enabled in the BIOS. It's supposed to be set in the "Advanced" section of the BIOS. The problem is that when I check my BIOS (F2), the option of virtualization technology (VT) is not in my BIOS. I have a very limited set of BIOS options. I read that the manufacturers of these machines 'block' the user to access advanced options in the BIOS (for reasons unknown to me). In addition, there is a utility distributed by Microsoft, called the "Hardware Virtualization Detection Tool support" that you can download and run on your computer to check if the hardware support for virtualization (VT) is enabled on your computer. I ran this and it is said that VT 'is' activated on my machine. However, I have seen other users, this tool is known to report false positives... which means it reports that VT is enabled, even if it is not. I have also read that these laptops Lenovo, this hardware virtualization is "off"by default. So I think that's my problem. Material to virtualization is disabled in my BIOS, and I have no way to access to 'permit' or turn it on. Someone out there has any experience with this problem, and how did you work around it? Is there a utility that will allow me to enable hardware virtualization in my BIOS? If so, can you provide me with detailed steps to do this? I would really appreciate it. Thank you.

  • Pavilion Dv6 - startup with beep continuous and wouldn't start without the CD inside windows

Hi, so I was using my laptop one day, perfectly fine and I got sick, so I had it turned off for about 2 or 3 days. When I turned it back on it started constantly beep (1 beep long, but 1 beep followed by another instantly.

Now I tried to reinstall Windows 7 and did, but she continued with the same problem. So I did a format on my drive, and did install a clean windows 7, it completed the installation currently and reset to move to the next step (now it does not start back to the desktop to completely finish doesn't stop beeping and freezing)

I did a hard reboot and that did not work and I cleaned my air, nothing has worked to resolve this issue, and I did nothing in 2 or 3 days, he was off (before that day, I played last, it was working fine, and the day I turned it off everything I've done has been playing World of Warcraft don't not download/install something again)

I opened the back and checked my memory was sitting on the right, and my HARD drive was inplace correctly (at the beginning when it was happening, it would not be in the office without the Windows 7 CD inside, now after I did a clean install, he's not going to the office without worrying)

I read another post with similar problems and plan to go out 1 of my RAM sticks and just try to run with 1 in, and switching them and try to see if that helps, but I'll do that tomorrow as I worked on this thing for hours tonight, I've been on the Windows 7 forum get advice from someone here, but he gave a link to read and agreed I should post here also.

My suspisions that if none of this works, it's my Proccessor, my Ram or my entire CPU, which in this case, I know not what to do to do or if it is worth fixing (Ram is easy, but the other two seems difficult and costly) for any help or advice as I can get from you guys would be greatly appreciated it's a HP Pavilion dv6 notebook.

Edit: I managed to enter the office and my clean install of windows 7 in full, and I made a default reset in the BIOS, will return tomorrow with updates I have.

Yes mate, I waiting since I posted a reply with HP staff.

They are * beep * ing pathetic and I would never buy a HP anything ever, I will also say to all my friends and tell all my friends to tell their friends and so on and so forth, do not to do. I will also let any forum I post on the same and any game online that I play on the same thing.

I gave up and will just buy a new DESKTOP PC, they work better and you can actually solve the material problems if it's graphics/CPU things, unlike a laptop.

If I were to ever get a laptop once again, it will not be a HP, I'd rather have nothing then use a pathetic HP product ever, I would rather die then have to use it. Their technical support is pathetic, and I had nothing else problems with the HP laptop I've had since the beginning.

Because of their pathetic excuse for a computer/laptop, I am behind in my studies and have perhaps missed a few projects that I'm not able to repeat. Thank you HP, you are now under the dirt for me.

We have tried to start in safe MODE but nothing seems to work and I was wondering if someone could help?

    Thank you very much

    Dave

    Hello

If SafeMode doesn't work too, the problem seems to be related material or your Windows installation is damaged. You have something has changed or installed on the laptop? If this isn't the case, I would test the RAM modules with special diagnostics, like Memtest86 tools. Use Google to find (freeware software).

If Memtest86 can t find mistakes, I would try reinstalling Windows using Toshiba recovery disc.

  • HP Pavilion Notebook 15-ab083T: laptop upgraded before even starting for the first time = problem?

    Hello!

I recently bought this laptop with the intention to replace the hard drive (1 TB HDD 120 GB SSD), as well as upgrading the ram from 8 GB to 16 GB. The problem is that I have improved these things before you start for the first time. And now it complains that it cannot find a device boot, even when I insert a USB key with windows 10 iso on it. Or a cd with windows XP. He needs to have the HDD windows 8.1 original in it on first commissioning? It took a while to replace parts...

    Thanks in advance.

That's very true, I used gparted before checking this again, and it was corrupted. Very well! I ended up installing windows 10 home using a free student license. It's perfect, since I have windows 8.1 before running on the 1 TB hard drive and it was filled with bloatware, thanks to HP (no offense). So, it is nice to have a clean install. Everything works fine now, I had to change some settings of 'Legacy Boot' in the bios to boot from the USB.

I am running Windows XP SP3 with RAM sticks of 256 MB (2) on an old eMachines T5026 desk top.  I added strips of RAM 1.0 GB (2) for the two slots open and computer would not start.  I tried with stick (1) 1 G and (2) 1 sticks and it still won't start.  I tried to mix and match the 256 with 1 G in each combimation, but it does not start.  Won't start with one or two sticks of 256.  Best Buy had PC3200 DDR RAM but the spec above States use PC2700.  Geek Squad says that PC3200 is OK instead of PC2700.  Is this the problem or I had to do something besides just insert new RAM?   Suggestions welcome.  Thank you.

Thank you for confirming that. I still think that the above tips are relevant:

Because what you bought doesn't work, my suggestion is to stay within the plug (PC2700), like this:
