  Alternatively, you can try to check if the internal MIC is showed in the devices of his Option.

  To check follow the steps mentioned below:

  (a) right click on the "speaker" on the system tray icon.

  (b) select the playback devices.

  (c) right-click on the empty space and select

  i. Show disabled devices

  II. Show disconnected devices

  (d) check if you can find micro, right-click on it and select Properties.

  (e) in the Properties window, on the generaltab, check if use this device (enabled) is checked for the use of the device.

  (f) also check the State of the device, by clicking on the Properties button and Volume levels on the levelstab.

  Method 3:

  If the problem only occurs when you use Skype, I suggest you to download Skype again and check if it helps solve the issue

  When you use the camera directly integrated on the satellite, it works pretty well. When you try to use it with Skype, all I get is the heart full screen. I tried different settings, but nothing happens. Therefore, I use a logitech webcam while searching for a solution.

  Anyone know how to configure it to work with Skype?

  Well, I think if the problem works with Camera Assistant Software, it s a problem with Skype. So, check the configuration of webcam for Skype and make sure that you use the latest version of Skype.

• LifeCam VX-700 does not not with Skype.

  I just bought this webcam, and it does not seem to be recognized by Skype.
  It works very well with MS Messenger.
  It did not come with any software and I see no download of software for this device on the web site of Ms.
  I am running Windows XP which is fully updated.
  I restarted my PC that did not help.

  Follow the procedure described here to activate the webcam in Skype:

  a. in the Skype main window go to the 'Tools' menu, then the Options"" menu.

  b. you can see the window options open to the left, now find "Video settings", make sure the "enable Skype video" is checked and the menu drop down called "select webcam:" choose your webcam (if it is there, otherwise you need to install).

  If this is not enough, post your request in the Forums of Skype to improve assistance.

  The internal webcam needs the webcam software pre-installed.
  Did you delete or remove this system?
  Check if this software is available on your laptop.
  It s call: Camera Assistant Software.

  If you start this software then you can check the parameters and features of webcam.

  Can someone please! I'm not that technical, but have an A210 and according to the manual it is built in microphone but I can't get Skype to work. Ive went through all the options available in my opinion.

  Step 1:
   
  You can use the connection from your sound card line to connect a portable music player, microphone or other device for audio input to your computer.
   
  Most sound cards have at least a line-out port to connect speakers and a line-in port where you can connect to an audio input device.
   
  However, the line of connection to your sound card is disabled by default. This means that if you plug an audio device into this port, it will not produce any sound on your computer until you enable the sound to connect online.
  
  To enable sound for the line
   
  a. open Control Panel > click on sounds
  b. click on the playback tab, click speakers and then click Properties.
  c. click the levels tab, and then under online, click the Mute button to turn on the sound for the connection line.
  The line of connection is disabled by default.
  
  
  Step 2:
  Check the microphone in the sound recording.

  I bought a lifecam HD-3000 to make an image with opencv processing in microsoft vs c ++ 2010.

  Everytime I open the camera and see the picture continuously. the automatic white balance is on and auto exposure is on.

  It's strange because I turned these features off (and truecolour) in microsoft lifecam tool.

  In Skype, it works very well, as the lifecam dashboard (icon on the menu bar appears when using the camera) allowing the user to change the video options, unfortunetly this does not show for my opencv program.

  It's like the lifecam app should be on this next video off (or other features be adjusted elsewhere).

  Is there a design flaw? Y at - it some kind of fix or coded the command to keep the dashboard life cam while my program is turned on.

  I'm using the software v3.6.

  Can we expect Microsoft to publish an updated driver for Lifecam vx-3000 camera that is compatible with windows 8?  I'm willing to be patient if I know they are doing this.  The reason why I even bought Microsoft hardware is first and foremost because I expected Microsoft to keeping relatively up-to-date on their drivers for operating systems that they deliver.  If anyone has information (or if) a windows 8 driver will be issued which would be very useful.  Thank you.

  LifeCam vx-3000, was used for years a couple works very well now it seems to work well for messenger and works when lifecam program is open however does not work if I try and use it on any other web site?
