  I try to get the content of all annotations (except accessories) within a PDF file. Creation of the Javascript code to enumerate all annotations in the document is not a problem. I am puzzled as to how I can save the output in a text file unicode (preferable to a file selected by the user name) or place it in a form textbox in a dialog so that the user can copy to the Clipboard. As far as I understand, it is possible to generate a new PDF with the release, but I would like that the code also works in Adobe Reader.

  You cannot write to a file with the player. You can with Acrobat with certain restrictions, using data, which are attached objects. What is possible is documented in the Acrobat JavaScript reference.

  Hi DSB.

  Open the document in Reader, go to the menu file-> properties, then click on the tag are. You will see a list of the fonts used in the document.

  Another option is to copy the text and paste it into MS Word, where you can simply move your mouse over the text to display the name of the font.

  There are two events that can be used to check the length of the text,

  The first is the action event for the text field, which is called when the field loses focus, it is a member of the purpose of dialogue with the same name as the item_id.  This event could also be used to update another field in the dialog box that indicates the number of characters, you may even have a small picture of alert which becomes visible to make it obvious that there is a problem.

  The other event, as already mentioned, is the validate event.  This allows to block the exit from the dialog box and display a popup to alert to the user.

• Is it possible to limit the output of a multi-turn encoder to match a single round?

  I use a Heidenhain encoder with an EIB Heidenhain 741. The 741 takes EnDat signals and converts them. I use a program called LabView of Heidenhain poll Positions. The encoder outputs are incremental and absolute. The outputs take into account after a revolution and I would go back to 0. The program uses a table 1 d with quad 64-bit for the absolute value and an array of 1 d of 16-bit value for the incremental values. I'm trying to convert them into degrees. I have done this except when it reaches 360 that the count is not 0. Is there a way to count position back to 0 when the number of bits is done?  Or y at - it a way to make the degrees back to 0? The degrees was taken out by taking the (Position/((2^26)/360)) which is Position/186413.51.

  This is my first large LabView project I hope this is enough information.

  Use the function Quotient & rest on the digital palette.  Divide by 360.  The output remains will always be in the range 0-359.

  I was wondering if I can limit the amount of bandwidth used by each of them to the virtual machine?

  I have two VM (in the future there will be more) with server 2003 installed on them.

  Map of network Wan ESXI has 40 MB of connection, and I want a virtual machine to have a limit of 15 MB and the other VM to have a 25 MB limit.

  Can it be done?

  No, you cannot limit the bandwidth with this granularity, bun, you can set the average bandwidth for all virtual machines connected to the network of the virtual machine port group.

  In the case of 2 virtual machines, I guess you can simply create 2 groups of network ports VM differet with average 15 to 25 Mbit bandwidth, but it would ' be really easy to maintain if number of VM will grow.

• Can I change the filters using a text editor?

  Imported filters are slow to change and using a lot of memory. Can I use a standard text editor to search for and edit changes in my filters? As an alternative, a keyword search can be added to the filter editor.

  They are stored in files named msgFilterRules.dat, one per account. They are plain text files and can be edited, but be careful with the syntax and structure. And close Thunderbird before you edit these or other files in the profile, otherwise your changes may be lost when Thunderbird does not close.

• GANYMEDE +: how to limit the output of "show?" for a user?

  On my server GANYMEDE +, I would like to configure a user so that when they do a "show?" command, it will list only the commands that they are allowed to do, instead of the entire list.   I tried to get a list of my virtual machines (using PowerCLI) with CBT (block change tracking) enabled, and while the following command returns the results, I can't have it at the output to a text file. Any help you can offer would be appreciated.

  You can get the information to an output file by removing the Write-Host calls.  How to do:

  Get-VM | Get-AdvancedSetting -Name *ctkEnabled* | Sort-Object Entity,Name |    Select Entity,Name,Value,Type | Export-Csv -NoTypeInformation -UseCulture c:\temp\advSettingInfo.csv
  

  Which will be, for any virtual computer that has a * ctkEnabled * advanced configuration, parameter information advanced output for such virtual machine to the CSV file in the appropriate location.  It relies on the ability to Get-AdvancedSetting to accept the VM objects as the value to - entity from the pipeline (so the foreach statement is not necessary) and used the - param Name of this cmdlet, avoiding any disorder Select-String.  I used Export-Csv to the output method so that you can easily consume these data later if you need to act on these data or even manipulate it.

  I need to limit the length of a text fiield at some length to prevent packing. I can substr to a certain number of characters, but I use a proportional font (Arial), and the length of the string varies depending on the characters in the string.
  
  The field is the invoice number on a doc to check to RTF. If the field Bill encapsulates, it moves other objects on the control document and verify the cause of big problems printing.
  
  Is there a way to limit the length of a text field to an actual length printed on the document? Or prevent the area of packaging? IE just trunc it to a fixed length?

  Put the domain into a single table cell, select the table, right-click on it, choose Properties from the table in the menu, select the cell, click on the Options button, text Wrap option unceck.

• What happens in a batch file when you try to redirect the output of a command in a text file? How did it break the lot?

  I have a lot that downloads the files, and I want to redirect the output to a text file.  The lot is set up similar to the following:

  echo user > ftp %
  echo pw > ftp %
  echo get myfile.txt > ftp %

  This lot works perfectly if I redirect the output of the ftp command, but, when I redirect the output, I get a logfile with 3 lines as follows:
  no connection
  mget my*.dat
  Good bye

  I tried the commands different redirect, with undesired results
  > & (which causes only the batch to close by anything in the logs)

  Why is - what this redirect would break the batch and the ftp script in particular?

  This is now fixed; was a simple mistake really, but thanks for all the help anyway.
