Limiting a test area enter on all pages of a PDF document.

I created the following code to use the menu option

for the creation of a date in which field the current date will be

introduce the document is printed.  I'm confused as to how it is the addition of

the field to all pages and not just the page that I am currently editing. Could someone help with this. I see the statement defining the variable p but confused on how it is added to each page, and not only the last page of this booklet PDF.

app.addSubMenu ({cName: "Footer", cUser: "Date", cParent: "File", Nonprofits: 20});

app.addMenuItem ({cName: "Set Date time (Filename) ', cParent: 'Footer', cExec:" SetFooter (1) "" ""});

app.addMenuItem ({cName: "-", cParent: "Footer", cExec: "{}"});

app.addMenuItem ({cName: "remove Date time (Filename) ', cParent: 'Footer', cExec:" RemoveFooter (1) "" ""});

function SetFooter (ARG)
{

var inches = 72;
for (variety p = 0; p < this.numPages; p ++)

{

If (ARG == 1) {}
aRect var = this.getPageBox ({nPage: p});
aRect [0] += 6.20 * inch; from the left edge
aRect [2] = aRect [0] + 1.5 * inch; from the upper left corner of the page.
aRect [1]-= 7.08 * inch; top edge of the paper
aRect [3] = aRect [1] - 18; and height 24 points

var fd = this.addField ("date", "text", p, aRect);
fd.textFont = fonts. HelvB;
fd.textSize = 10;

}

var myWillPrintScript = ' var fd = this.getField ("date"); \r'
+ ' fd.hidden = false; \r'
+ ' var d = new Date(); \r'
+ ' fd.value = (util.printd ("mmmm yyyy", d)); \r'

var myDidPrintScript = ' var fd = this.getField ("date"); \r'
+ "fd.value =" ";" \r'
+ ' fd.hidden = false; \r'

Now define scripts to run on the will / did print events.
this.setAction ("WillPrint", myWillPrintScript);
this.setAction ("DidPrint", myDidPrintScript);

} }

function RemoveFooter (ARG)
{

If (ARG == 1 |) ARG == 3) {var x = this.removeField (' date') ;}

If (ARG == 2 |) ARG == 3) {for (var p = 0; p < this.numPages; p ++)}

{

var x = this.removeField (String ("xftPage" + p + 1)); }

} }

You must remove the loop for upstairs, including its opening and

closing brackets and replace by:

p = this.pageNum;

  • Embed a PDF as an object on a page of another PDF document

    We get a PDF file that we want to add a 'stamp', then return.  The stamp is in the form of a separate PDF file, 4 "wide, 2" high, with objects of the form (boxes, digital signature) inside.  I see no way I can drop this stamp on one page of the incoming PDF in Acrobat.  If I save the stamp as a jpg, I can use the subject of retouching / insert a picture to make it, but then of course the boxes and digital signature do not work.

    I will be able to insert a PDF with form fields in a page of another PDF document (not insert it as a new page, but integrate it as an object on an existing page)?

    A digital signature won't work, since all the fields in the page of stamp get flattened when the buffer is applied. However, you can create a dynamic stamp that allows you to prompt the user for information that must be entered in the form fields and include an image of a signature that can be used as the icon of a button. The data and then get into the form fields just before the seal is affixed, which should give you what you are after. It's JavaScript programming and learn about the dynamic stamps. It gets complicated when you use custom dialog boxes, but it works very well. If you are interested, there is a very good book that will tell you everything you need to know about stamps and you learn how to create your own dynamic: http://www.amazon.com/About-Stamps-Acrobat® - without paper-Workflows/dp/0985614706

  • Is it possible to give each page in a pdf document a specific set of print settings?

    I have a complex document (catalog), which involves an impression. There are several different print settings required and each is specific to each page in the document. For example pg 1 is alone in color, page 2-3 is a duplex in b & w, page 3-8 is a duplex in color, etc... Is it possible to give each page in the pdf document a given set of print settings and print the entire document as a whole?

    Hi jennyskop

    I guess that's not possible... It is necessary to restore the print command and select respective pages and their settings!

  • Can I print the last page of a PDF document using the command line?

    Hello

    I'm in a situation where I constantly have to deal with several documents in PDF format, and I need to print the last page in each of them and ONLY the last page. The total number of pages vary for each file, so the page to the last page number will also vary.

    I really prefer to not do it manually, to open each file in the visible window of Adobe Reader, and then print.

    Question:

    Is it possible with Adobe Reader (perhaps with the help of another Adobe product) to print only the last page of a PDF document using some sort of command line without having to open the PDF file in the Adobe Reader window visible?

    I use Windows.

    Thanks in advance,

    Kind regards

    Emil

    Hey, I've just set up a measure of inquiry by accident. That's really bad thinking. Here's what to do.

    When the "Create new Action" checkbox is shown...

    Choose Start with: a file open in Acrobat

    DO NOT CLICK on add a step statement

    Open tools more

    Click once on run JavaScript

    A blue line to run JavaScript must appear on the right side.

    Click on the small box under Options inside the blue line

    A JavaScript editor should appear; Enter the program, and then click Ok

    To save in: select do not save the changes.

    Click Save

    Give a name; you don't need to enter a description (although it won't hurt if you do).

    My Scanner has created several blank pages in the PDF document.  It seems there is no editing tool to delete a page.

    The free Adobe Acrobat Reader software doesn't have this capability. You can either play with the settings of your scanner software and re-scan, or you can delete pages with the full version of Adobe Acrobat.

  • How to extract non-consecutive pages of a pdf document. I can highlight in thumbnails but only extract consecutive.

    How to extract non-consecutive pages of a pdf document?

    I see its easy to do with the consecutive pages highlighting the thumbnails can "extract", but this does not allow for non-consecutive pages.

    Thank you

    After you select the pages, you can drag and drop them somewhere,

    as on the desktop, and a new file will be created with only the pages.

    Highlighting the pages if not achievable, or too complicated to do, then a

    script can be used where you specify which pages from script

    extract them to a new file.

  • Resize all pages in a PDF to the same dimensions (height, width)

    I have a big PDF file of several hundred pages in which all the pages have slightly different dimensions. I want to resize these pages in such a way that they will all have the same dimensions. I tried to do it with the crop in Acrobat tool, but if I get all pages in one fell swoop, the resulting dimensions of the page will always be the same for all pages. I can't get page dimensions the same if I harvest each page separately, which is not really fun to do with a 300-page document. Does anyone know if there is a simple way to do this in one fell swoop? I can always crop (rare) pages that do not perfectly match thereafter.

    Hi Bronwater,

    You can print to the Adobe PDF printer to a desired page size, but it will flatten your PDF & the other option is going to be trimming the PDF file.

    Kind regards

  • Apply the stamp tool to all the Pages in a PDF document?

    Is there a way to have Acrobat X Pro apply a stamp to all pages in a document? For example, if I am sent a series of plans I want to score not "approved", is there a way click on the stamp not approved on page 1 and do apply to all pages in the document?

    Thank you!

    Hi again,

    Thanks for replying so fast. Now, I have tried the below code as you suggested, but it still made a syntax error. I'm copying and pasting information from the console:

    Suppose that the stamp is the only

    Annot on the page

    this.syncAnnotScan ();

    annt var = this.getAnnots (this.pageNum) [0];

    Accessories var = annt.getProps ();

    for (var i = 0; i)<>

    props.page = i;

    If (I! = this.pageNum)

    this.addAnnot (props);

    }

    SyntaxError: syntax error
