• How to create a bookmark for a Google spreadsheet?

  I want to create a link to a Google spreadsheet (spread) I have on my toolbar. I have frequent access to this worksheet and you want to just post a link to the page. When I right click on the page, it does nothing. I know that I did it before, even if I don't know how. I have a workaround, but it is tedious and it is something that is not unusual for me as the common spreadsheet, I use changes.

  Any ideas?

  When you have the Google map you open expected to be able to create a bookmark as you would with any other page.

  • Open the Google spreadsheet
  • Click on the bookmark Star button. This will create the bookmark.
  • Click on the bookmark Star button again and you can place the bookmark where you want (IE. Bookmarks bar) by clicking the drop-down folder list.

  Now you should be able to click this bookmark and go right to the Google map. The bandages below will give you a Visual to follow. Hope that helps.

• does not display the iframe to a google spreadsheet

  I just noticed that in 22 FF on a computer 64-bit of Windows 7 do not display iframes that refer to google spreadsheet. I turned to hardware accel in FF nothing helps. The functions of the site correctly on Chrome, Opera and IE. Some users have reported that it works on Win XP 32 bit.

  This used to all work flawlessly and I don't know when or how this has not... maybe a month ago? It is tested on several PCs BTW. I tried the mode without failure (without plugins) too.

  It must have two video IFRAME and then an iframe google below form.

  This problem proved to be the associated profile. Very weird that I had held on 2 win 7 64-bit PCs but there is to go.

  The problem had been solved, but I was not sure what he did. It reoccured recently and I decided to investigate a little more. He seems to have had a problem with my GPU (AMD Radeon HD 6950). Update the drivers (even once, since they had been cancelled for some reason any) has fixed this problem. The previous version of the driver that had this problem was 14.4

• why I can't pan East/West in the Google spreadsheet

  Dear reader,

  I could not pan n/s or E/W in a Google spreadsheet. It worked fine in Safari. Google spreadsheet is active. I can change cells. It's a very small spreadsheet, 44 lines and 5 columns with any of the formulas.

  I was using Beta Version 27. I installed the Version 26 and the n/s now works fine. E/W does not work. If I try panoramic E/W has a few times he could suddenly jerk E/W a few times and then stops.

  I deleted the cache and cookies. No difference.

  I restarted in safe mode. No difference.

  As indicated, I reinstalled 26 and who sets the Pan n/s, but not the pan E/W.

  Any ideas or suggestions?

  Dear reader,

  Fixed - on my Mac in system preferences > TrackPad > more gestures, I got the "between the pages" which allows "Scrolling left or right with two fingers" lit. When I turned so far, I could pan E/W in Google spreadsheets.

• Help - SkyDrive provides a way to link Excel spreadsheets?

  At my office, we use a drive concept (F:\) traditional network shared.  This works very well because we can create multiple Excel worksheets and fed each other via VLOOKUP and absolute reference.  In addition, these are shared documents, so multiple people can access/modify at the same time.

  We are looking to get rid of our server and using a Sprint 4 G access point to the Internet and the "cloud" application usability.  How can we maintain the document binding dependence and several appearance user of our spreadsheets Excel without a F:\ to reference?

  Yes! I did a Google search to integrate flash files into Google sites and came with instructions to How to embed the Flash SWF file to Google Sites?. Google has changed a bit since this was written, but fundamentally it is still standing. Download your SWF file in the binder of your Google site and right click on the 'view' option to get the URL. Put this URL in the tags as shown in the linked page.

  In the case of the link breaks the tag looks like this:

  "http://sites.google.com//.swf" width = "XXX" height = "YYY" >

  Change your page, and then select the edit HTML option to insert it.

  Google has made a change that makes the object, you must enable cookies and make sure they are not blocked

   Sometime last night, Google updated its search results page. We are seeing some reports that search results when clicked take you to a blank interstitial page rather than the final result.
  

  The issue is that if you don't have cookies enabled or working (blocked by extensions/privacy settings), the links don't work. The only workaround is to enable cookies, use a different search engine or use Chrome (which somehow works even with cookies disabled).
  

  The bug is bug 725634. I'm posting here to let you all know that we're working with Google on this and it should hopefully be resolved shortly.

  It seems that you do not use the method of verification by Google for webmasters. The code you have used, is to check your site with Google Page, you link your site by inserting a small snippet of code on your website and then listing as main link of Google + your Page in the about section of the profile of this Web site.

  I use HR for years, but I am new to Captivate.

  I want to have a substitution effect in a topic of WebHelp, whereby the user can hover the mouse over a chart and a window will open. Inside the pop - up will be hyperlinks to topics of a WebHelp project.

  My understanding of this day, is that I can insert a Captivate slide in topic WebHelp to achieve this. The slide in Captivate would contain the graphic background and a "slidelet.

  My question is, at what point can I create hyperlinks to WebHelp topics in the slidelet? I have to do to Captivate, and if yes how can I specify the path the link target?

  Or I can make this link after I got the Captivate slide and slidelet in WebHelp project?

  Hmmm, for some reason, I forget that they have added the ability to Captivate 6.

  Good so what you have to do is consider where the Captivate movie will (as in which folder) at the time wherever it is presented in the WebHelp. If you are linking to the XXX.htm section and within RoboHelp, this topic is in a folder called FolderOne, it will depend on the folder that the Captivate movie is. Often, they are inserted in the root of the project. So if this proves to be the case, you should insert the following text in the field:

  FolderOne/XXX.htm

  

  I'll give my theory a try and see if it works for me.

  Remember that the links might fail when you test locally, unless you add the location of the project to the list of sites approved for the Flash Player.

  Is there a way of collecting information of the learner and deliver the information to an external document? I know there's a widget 'Variables to Google' ($), but I thought that there could be another way (Server internal reports? save the output? persistent user or system variables?). I do not use quizzing (for this project) and I'm not referring to an LMS.

  I want back the free-form text (questions of the learner) and other variable data (name, list of tasks task/task is completed, the completion status, etc.). I want to collect the data and send it to the responsible department/supervisor. I want to follow students have completed courses (or their parts). I'm not (yet) able to develop in Java or AS3 or otherwise (but I'm not a stranger to programming).

  I searched for a few hours and not found what I'm looking for (to be kept for the widget or two to buy). Maybe I don't use good search string.

  The Captivate movie is published for access through our web server (by the way, is - it possible to password - protect access to the training?) and must be flexible in our control and configuration.

  You will not be able to do out of the box. The Captivate output methods are an LMS or using the option considered internal server. If you cannot use one of these for your project, then you will need to have a tailor-made solution.

  Variable Jim to Google widget is probably your best choice, unless you want to try and develop something of yourself (which would be a widget written in AS3 and a back-end / receiver of database written in PHP or ASP) or throw a good amount of money to a third party developer to create it for you.

  Variables to Google widget is $ 30 and will allow you to send variables defined by the user to a Google spreadsheet rather painless.
