Satellite Pro restores all default settings whenever I restart it

I plugged my iPod into my laptop and iTunes started to plant, it sounded like a cd skipping. I left it for a few minutes, expecting to pay himself but he didn't, so I pressed the power button to turn it off.
When it just restarted on the Office disappeared and the background was his original Toshiba one.

I was worried that all my data had been erased, but I managed to access my docs etc via the drive C. I have everything sorted and reinstalled the programs he had uninstalled but when I restarted again it happened again!
I have absolutely no idea what to do to resolve this prob :(

Help, please!

Looks like the file system is damaged.

Go to a command prompt and type:

CHKDSK C: /F

If it happens again, then Windows may be restoring to a previous state. You can try to disable restoring the system temporarily to solve the problem:

Disable System Restore
back up your iTunes Music folder to a different HARD disk
Uninstall itunes
Connect to your usual Windows user account
Re-enable the system restore (just in case the programs you install are originally a problem, as a corruption of data or BSOD)
Reinstall your programs and your missing iTunes

I did not understand you. Do you have the facilities of Toshiba disc for Windows XP Home edition or you want to install a clean version of Windows XP Home edition?
Factory settings, you can have if you install the operating system using the original facilities Toshiba disc. so if you have WXP facilities drive you factory WXP (designed by Toshiba recovery image) settings.

  • Restore the default settings doesn't work is not because of the sweetpack.

Somehow, a toolbar called sweetpack was installed on firefox. I tried to remove the addon via the windows uninstaller, but it still appears in the addon of firefox even handler after restarting windows. the addon is blocked on firefox, but there is no way to turn it off. Then, I tried to restore the default settings, but firefox get toward the top of the box to "restore the data from the old" who comes chugged away in an infinite loop.

  • NH-1005 ver 2.2 hub allows you to restore the default settings

OK, I have a worm hub 2.2 NH 1005 that I used a little more than six months, and I need your advice on restoring the default settings.

the web-based configuration page can be accessed through 192.168.2.1 on IE, but my step son was trying to fix the nat definition for its xbox 360 (not so hard to do...) and changed the settings under remote management to turn off. now, it is not possible to connect to access based on the Internet web page.

is there another way? Is there a restore defaults button in the web page, but no button or other basis on the hub itself. any advice, other than to get rid of it and replace?

So in this case you should check the settings of your DSL modem. Like most of the DSL modem has a built-in DHCP server. Then maybe you lose connectivity to your modem DSL itself.

As your HUB is a dumm device and it dosent have any parameters, or you can reset your HUB. Only, you can make a normal feeding cycle and which will not solve the problem.

  • Restoration of my Satellite Pro M40 to factory settings

I recently got a laptop Satellite Pro M40 and it suffers from an infection. Before installing Norton I want to restore to as if it were new. I put t need no data on this at all and I don t have all the disks that have initially come with it.

    Can someone please?

If you want to have the factory again settings you need original recovery installation CD/DVD. Otherwise, you can do clean install of OS using the facilities of Microsoft CD.

For the first option, you need to order original recovery media by service provider authorized in your country. The second option install the Microsoft OS installations CD. All the necessary drivers, tools and utilities that you find on Toshiba download page http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com

If you need more assistance please post again.

  • Deselection of voice on improvement in Inspector restores the default settings.

Voice more improvement is a combo of compressor, deEsser, and EQ sound effect. I changed the settings, but when I deselected the effect in Inspector (clicked on the little blue box) to ignore the settings then changed the effect... all the settings changed back to their default values (except for the 'Quantity' slider). This isn't how it's working. Deselection of effect should work as a derivation not a reset. If someone else can confirm this?

This happens even to the VOE effect when saving file > save Audio effects presets, inserted on clip, unchecked then reselected in the Inspector.

    > I want to restore the default value of my internet browser.
What internet browser do you use? What is MS Internet Explorer?
Internet Explorer settings can be defined by default very easily.
    Go to tools-> Internet Options
You will find different tabs as general, security, confidentiality, etc.
Visit the unique tabs and you will find Reset buttons or omissions.

In addition, you can change the display
Here, you should check out Style-> default Style

  • Tecra A9 - how to restore the default settings?

Hello, I have Tecra A9 pre-installed with Vista Business 32 bit.

I want to recover my system back to normal just like when I bought it but without formatting my HARD drive also without changing the system partition.
I want every thing with default (Reset) so for this I don't know how to use my recovery disc im confused which option to choose.

Please answer me immediately because I want to do it now.

    Thank you

    Hello

I think that would be simpler if you use the HARD disk recovery.
The recovery feature formats only the first partition as the files for the recovery of HARD drive feature is stored on the second partition.

You can also use the restore disc but this formats the entire HARD drive.
Both methods restores the normal settings, just like when you bought it or let's say the factory settings.

The recovery disk you created is a bootable disc. You must only boot from it and then follow the instructions on the screen.
The HARD drive recovery feature if you go into the advanced boot menu by pressing F8 before Windows starts, you can start then choose fix my computer and now you can select the Toshiba Recovery feature.

It of your choice you select, but two methods to do what you want. :)

  • Satellite Pro A120 passes through configuration whenever turned on

Please help for the last month, everytime I turn on my laptop Satellite pro A120 with vista professional pre-installed it configures which lasts about an hour.

After finally turns it repairs itself and then when on McAfee warns that it needs to be updated.

I tried to install the updates, I tried to turn off the automatic updates, the only thing I have not tried it throws out the window of the bedroom.

If you can help keep your simple language because I don't have much technical knowledge.

    Thank you in advance.

Can you explain how he "fixes itself"?

To exclude a software/Windows problem, you can reinstall Windows to its factory State by running "Recovery."
But you need to back up your data (documents, music, email, etc.) before performing the recovery. It will wipe/remove C: drive.

To run recovery, press and hold the zero (0) key when you turn on the laptop.
