Linux, Firefox 21.0 and the last flash for LINUX (11.2). I can't view youtube videos because firefox has disabled the plugin. Help!

An hour ago, I watched with happiness of the videos from youtube on Linux using Firefox 20.0 and 11.2 flash. I've just updated firefox and it of now my blocking flash and invites me to update. The problem is I can't update because 11.2 is the LATEST version of the flash for firefox plugin, there is no other version.

Is there a way to prevent the deactivation of my firefox plugin?

The directory structure, at least for linux, seems to have changed for version 21. I have my distribution of firefox / opt/firefox /, and so far I keep the plugin flash in/opt/firefox/plugins /. Verse 21, the plugin directory should be/opt/firefox/browser/plugins/EC directory does not exist by default. You can create or mv just the old directory of plugin to the new location

$ cd/opt/firefox / #(ou partout où votre firefox est installé)
$ mv plugins / browser /.

Icons / directory has also been moved to that subdirectory, that's why my office firefox button was not correctly displayed after the update.

-The main thing that firefox really should do is to archive the previous version of firefox, whenever there is an update. It is ridiculous to have to deal with this kind of issue immediately after an update when you have important work to do on time! To do a simple option to temporarily return to the previous version of firefox. It would be trivial to implement and could be used when a new release breaks something.

Why Firefox has disabled the only version of Flash (10.1.53.64) my computer can use? (Mac PowerPC G5) Help!

Your computer hardware has arrived at the stage where most of the software needs resources your machine cannot provide because it's too old. You have a few choices.

    1. Get new hardware that can handle the latest software
    2. Use a different operating system, like Linux (which is free)

I rehabilitated an old G5 recently and it runs very well in the latest Firefox. I put Lubuntu on the machine instead the MacOS. Lubuntu (pronounced Loo-boon-two) is sort of a Ubuntu lite - a user-friendly version of Linux. There are many applications of your choice, and everything is free.

You can also use the Ubuntu greediest in resources and a little more user-friendly, also free, but you can be more pleased with the performance of Lubuntu instead.

The PowerPC, I did this on was one of the old blue Bondi ones. Firefox 8 had no problem to start on it at all and has all necessary plug-ins for video, audio, etc... I gave him a church and it works well for them.

You can download older versions of Firefox, but you'll just open to security problems if you do.

FYI: The Mac operating system is based on Linux.

You can also consider turning off new protected in Flash 11.3 mode, since this feature is currently being debugged. See this article from Adobe support under the heading of 'Last resort': Adobe Forums: how to fix protected Flash Player for Firefox mode?

About the update, which the Adobe gives you usually is just a small installer program that you run that downloads the actual plugin. I recommend having closed all Firefox by doing the updates to Adobe so that none of the files are ignored in the process.

At least one user has noticed a problem where Adobe installed two versions of Flash-by-side; the other oldest had to be removed manually. See the flash works fine in firefox 14 but I can not update.

  • I'm answering an ad on craigslist and Outlook Wizard Windows wonder for the mail server (POP, IMAP, or HTTP) and anSMTP server used for incoming mail. How can I find these?

I'm tryilng for answering an ad on craigslist. I could never do it because when I try to answer the ad, I am sent to Windows Outlook Wizard. I wonder for an incoming mail server. (POP, HTTP IMAPor) and an SMTP server for mail out. Where can I get these from?

Sorry, but I don't know a thing about dam on computers. I use it a lot... What is an ISP?

ISP = Internet service provider.  Anyone who buys a PC and want to get online purchases this connectivity with an Internet service provider.  A lot of people get their Internet service from their cable company, like Comcast or Charter.  Some use AT & T.  Some use Verizon.

Most (all?) Internet service providers also has mail services, assigning to customers who want one, an e-mail address.  AT & T, for example, provides e-mail ending addresses by @att.net.  People can also use independent e-mail like Google Mail providers, Hotmail/Live or Yahoo, which do not depend on any of particular Internet Service provider.

Clearly if you try to answer message from Craig's list, you must have a messaging services provider and an e-mail address for this vendor.  Trying to repond to a message by clicking on a MailTo URL in a web page (i.e., mailto:*** address email is removed from the privacy *) usually, you need a mail client - a program that allows to send and receive mail - on your computer.  If you use an e-mail service such as Hotmail or Google Mail, accessed through a web browser, online then you can not send mail by clicking on the link email in a web page or a message without changing your Windows registry database, something not to be taken lightly by anyone who is a self-proclaimed computer naive.  Some providers of online, like Yahoo Messenger, provide toolbars that integrate with your web browser to provide a part of the functionality of a complete email client, for example the activation of the option click MailTo URLS on web pages.

  • Firefox has disabled your outdated version of Java

This seems to happen now on a regular basis. As soon as an add-on update firefox has struggle to detect the correct version

In this case, I get "Firefox has disabled your outdated version of Java" have just installed the new version of Java (7-11). I restart firefox and it does not solve it, I reboot my machine and it does not solve it.

According to this bug on Oracle http://bugs.sun.com/bugdatabase/view_bug.do?bug_id=8005410 site, the problem occurs because their installer does not correctly recognize older versions of Java and is compounded by a problem with systems using the standalone version of JavaFX installed.

So, if you see JavaFX in your list of installed programs (Windows: Control Panel), remove it. It would be better to remove all the Java from your system before installing the new Java.

I would recommend JavaRa to uninstall Java previous to your system, but, unfortunately, it has not been updated since October 2012 and does not and will not find any more recent versions of Java and/or registry keys files.

Oracle has published the update of Java 7 11 to resolve recently recognized in Java 7 update 10 and earlier versions. Update of Java 6 38 was not updated; support for the ends of the versions of Java 6 in February 2013.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones can not play youtube video with the 3G network, but works with WiFi, why? Help, please!

    Hello

I tried several times to read the youtube videos with network wifi and it works fine, but when I use the 3G or GPRS nework to play the video, it first to ask "Switch to WAP for streaming media? (with wifi that he won't ask) so I press ok and it uptempt to load and an error message "content not available. Server is blocked or unresponsive. ", it goes with all the videos I click on that. Help, please.

    Thank you

Let me share my personal experience on the subject. When they are facing the same problem, I asked my provider and they tried to pull a fast explaining that viewing videos on the 3G network is dependent on the device and that it is not possible to videos on my BB "BOLD" due to speed issues. They even suggested that I buy an iPhone 3G given that subscribers who do not seem to display YouTube videos problems. A load of rubbish! After only a brief workshop organized by RIM and my career, I was "unofficially" informed by a member of staff that it was a TCP/APN issue. I take advice, made the necessary adjustments, and was able to view Youtube videos on the 3 G network without problem. However, my Bill the next month floored me. Even if I'm on a package data unlimited, I was charged an extra $ 70 on top of what I usually pay. Learn more with my carrier, they were kind enough to inform me that I have to access the Internet via their APN address, which translates into a lower speed of AFN, orI will have to pay for accessible data on the other addresses of the AFN. I supported with my questions and my carrier eventually admitted that they were actually limiting the speed on AFN as allowing only some mobile devices to access data at 3G speed. Then you tell me!

  • Can't view the YouTube video because there is an active filter. It happens on the job and home networks and only on Firefox (15.0.1).

After update 15.0.1 Firefox and Adobe Flash Player to 11.4, I was unable to view the media from YouTube. I was given a message: "this video is not available with the filter of education allowed.» To view this video, site network administrator will have to add to a playlist. I work for a school district and use my laptop at work so I thought that I got this message because YouTube is blocked on this network. But when I got home, I got the same message on my home network with YouTube videos. I have reset Firefox and he took care of the issue until I'm at work, and the problem happened again with the same message everywhere... I tried to post the same videos on another browser (Safari) and it works beautifully. I'm afraid that if I reset Firefox even once, I'm having the same problem.

It is possible that YouTube set a cookie to filter which can still be seen when you connect at home. To clear cookies for youtube.com, you can use one of these:

    (1) 'dialog show Cookies' tab in Preferences/Privacy:

Firefox > Preferences > privacy > 'view the Cookies '.

Type yout in the search box at the top to filter the list and remove each cookie individually.

    (2) "view Cookies dialog box" in the Page Info/Security tab:

While displaying a page on the site-

Tools > Page Info > Security > 'view the Cookies '.

    -remove each cookie individually.

Then, try to reload the page and see if Youtube behaves differently.

  • Financial performance overview and the Plugins do not work

    Dear all,

as mentioned in the subject: I can't open the tabs overview of performance in the vSphere client and the vSphere Client cannot download the plug-ins (for example the vCenter Service status plug). After you wish for some time I can not find something wrong in my setup. Seems the cause seems to be that the tomcat is listening on port 8443. What could be the reason for this?

    C:\users\administrator > netstat - ano | Findstr.8005

    TCP 127.0.0.1:8005 0.0.0.0:0 ABHOREN 101160

  • Paths of the application and the Plugin (32 vs 64 Windows)

I'm working on a version of our installer of plugin to put the plugin for 32-bit windows in the folder plugins Photoshop 32 bit and the 64-bit plugin in the plugins Photoshop 64-bit folder.

Currently our only 32-bit Installer uses the Windows registry to locate plugins directory.  (HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/ADOBE)

Looking here now I see that even if I chose the two 64 CS5 and CS5 - 32 when I installed Photoshop, there is always only one entry in the path of plugins.  But there are two separate files of plugins.

Even worse Adobe seems to have changed the Organization over time.

For CS4, both versions are in the "Program Files" directory

    For CS5 Photoshop 32-bit directory is 'program (x 86) '.

By changing the installation program to support 32 & 64, I would like to know the best practice to find these plugin files, so I can verify their existence (since it is possible to install only 32 or 64 rather than two) and then put the plugin just in the right place.

    Now this is pretty cool:

get plugins path of the registry

    install

I hope I don't have to implement of the trials and errors, such as:

start in plugins path of the registry

go up a level and look for other files from photoshop

go up to another level and see if there are other program files folders

recurse in their search for Photoshop files

If there is no better way, the absence of a second registry entry should be considered a bug?

Adobe has not modified the Organization of the registry, Windows did.

I also write installers for my business, so I'm quite familiar with that.

On 64-bit Windows, the registry path you see when you get the keys in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/ADOBE are 64-bit values if you call the Registry API from a 64-bit process. They are 32-bit values if you call the API to register a 32-bit process.

So, you can either write separate 32 and 64 bit installers, or you can get acquainted intimately with registry redirection which runs on 64-bit windows. (None of this is a concern on 32 bit only for Windows systems)

To learn more about the registry redirection, go here:

    http://msdn.Microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa384232 (v = vs. 85) .aspx

This is a very important page for editors of the installer to read:

  • Firefox can't play youtube videos (only from youtube, other video sites work well)

Since about a week ago firefox in my laptop can not read the youtube videos (only from youtube, videos from other sites and flash games work well), both on the site or embedded on another site. This shows only "an error has occurred. "Please try again later".
I use firefox 13.0.1 and the latest version of the flash plugin.
My laptop is i5 with win7 64 bit and it has clean, no viruses or malware.

I tried all the solution posted here, but nothing works.
I tried to uninstall - reinstall both firefox and flash, disabled add-ons, safemode, downgrade from earlier, flash, uninstall realplayer, changed the dns, reconfigured my modem, my curse what ISP (perhaps connection related?), still unable to play videos from youtube.

I tried to use different computer, I used my old pc winxp with the old version of firefox (with the same configuration as the firefox I use in my laptop) and my ipad, they can play videos, but playback is stuttering which never happened before.
Curiously, I've tried chrome (on the same laptop) and it works well, no stutters.
This problem has something to do with the firefox updates, updates, flash, both, or something else?

Please help me, I don't want to go back and forth between browsers just to see the video on youtube and I really want to change browser.
    Thank you!

It's very strange... it will also be a very long shot, but it is possible that due to the long url (& feature = relmfu) it worked. I highly doubt this is the case.

I recommend not to clear your cookies, either of them or one of them to youtube.

And you've probably already tried this, but playing the video on the various quality parameters may do something.

And finally, have you tried to contact youtube/google on this subject, or restart your pc after making sure that all your stuff is up-to-date? (you have probably both)
