  • What is the default font in Windows 7?

I have a sort of a time trying to figure that out, but I'll try to find a font Windows decent that looks good anywhere like XP, but I don't know what to choose and I don't know what XP used or even which uses Windows 7.

I know how to change things, but knowing the value default for each could help me decide. I try with ClearType on and outside, but I continue to turn in the same text hard to read which is either crushed or seems smeared. It is not the same experience good all over as it was with XP, although I'd rather not have the pixelated look on text.

    Hello

Segoe UI is the default font in Windows 7. Segoe UI is a humanist typeface family that is best known for its use by Microsoft. Microsoft uses Segoe UI in their marketing materials online and print, including recent logos for a number of products. In addition, the Segoe UI font family is used by many Microsoft applications. This is the default font in Windows Vista and Windows 7. The font is also used for Outlook.com, e-mail service from Microsoft which has replaced the previous Hotmail.

    Thank you.

  • How can I disable smooth edges of fonts with Windows Vista?

I would greatly appreciate any help someone could give me about the following question. I ' v tried the search with the help of Windows Vista, myself, but again, I'm obviously too stupid or slow down and have not been able to find the answer there either. He who can give me the answer, I would be so grateful, I got lov to reciprocate somehow I can, like research, graphics, or any work that I can because that would really mean a lot to me.
    So, here is my question:

  • Can someone give me the list of default processes in windows 7?

    Hello

Basically, that's what I'm doing... I have good knowledge in programming and decided to create a kind of Game Booster thing on mine (a very simple). For this I need to stop all unnecessary programs running in the background all in game. But I don't really know the list of default processes of windows 7. I donot want to stop those essential and end up crashing my system. So can you please give me the complete list of .exe files that will run in the background and should not be stopped.

    Thanks in advance

Default process can vary widely because of different hardware configurations, but insofar as Windows
only going about anything with MS Windows in the description tab, or the system in the name of the user tab.
    -dwm.exe
    -LMS.exe
    -lsass.exe
    -lsm.exe
    -SearchIndexer.exe
    -services.exe
    -smss.exe
    -snmp.exe
    -softOSD.exe
-Set - svchost.exe (whose number varies)
    -System
    -System Idle Process
    - and all that - on my machine.
    (total 59 process atm).

-Trial and error is a good way to know what is needed.
What better way to resolve your software?  ;)
-However, I think that what you really want to do is limit the number of apps Starup via System Configuration-startup tab. Clear the check box next to what you think you want to have
running in the background. You can also do it through boot.
Problem here is not able to find out what software others have installed on their system.
There are a large number of different programs that may think they are important enough to
set itself up to load in the background when Windows starts.

Personally - game boosters are dinosaurs (were they ever really effective) with modern fast processors and large amounts of RAM. Always useful for older machines, maybe.
That said, I don't still limit the startup programs (14 atm) as it can help keep the catchy window.

  • Menu, display, and resizing of fonts in Windows Vista

I was using IE 9 Windows Vista. Inadvertently, I did something unknown which reduces the screen size and fonts in web pages in IE, so I clicked on the menu help and then clicked on something (I don't know exactly what) screen size that looked like it would increase. Requiring a reboot that crossed then something I've never seen elsewhere (a process of "CHKDSK" 3 steps). That process seemed to end well and restarted Windows, but the Outlook .pst file was immediately not accessible because "it was in use by another application" (false). I stopped and restarted again, that solved the problem of Outlook. But now ALL (desktop icons, menu bars, book list and address of Outlook Inbox, the taskbar and icons of status bar, Internet Explorer, Excel, etc. etc. cells default Favorites list) are all too big.
How can I reduce the size of these things? It must be a global Windows setting that I have somehow disturbed.

  • How can I permanently I change the default font in Windows Live Mail (Win 7)

I just got this laptop that is running a newer version of Windows Live Mail I know.  The police of default e-mail is attached to Calibri 12 which is extremely low.  I want to its default value to Ariel 14.  Is there a way I can do this default font setting permanently?  I can't find anything under 'help' that helps me.

    Jill

    Try this.

    WLMail open

    Left-click to select your account

then on the drop down menu - options - mail

    Compose tab

Fonts seem to be listed there.

Click font settings, to adapt to your needs,

and see if this holds for emails send/dial

If it works and is OK, it's similar on the tab [read] - fonts for reading emails.

  • Cannot set default printer in Windows Vista.

    Hello
My computer still works fine until lately something's happened to Windows Vista all of a sudden. One day I put on the computer and found that the left side of the menu 'start' all deleted, and the content on the right side of the Panel is still there. But then I found that I cannot print a document PDF and Excel, and the error message reads: "Before you print a document, you must install a printer." I have a HP Color laser printer connected to it since and it still works well. I can always print Word document (unless I have to manually select HP printer each time the dialog box I have ever had to do before), but cannot print PDF or Excel. On the 'control panel', the HP printer icon is still there, but it is not set as default printer, as it has always been. And when I tried to set up as a default printer, the error message reads: "can't set default printer.

Can anyone help? Thank you very much.

I would like to begin uninstalling the printer, restart and reinstall the printer to determine if that solves the problem...

  • Change the default font size Windows 8 Mail app

Original title: Calibri 12 No 11?

Why is the font of default mail Calibri 12 and not 11? All other MS products use Calibri 11 and my emails look like they came the first blackberry whenever my colleagues open them. The solution is to change each email to Calibri 11, but it's so ghetto. How to get something like this loser? Please tell me the registry key to resolve this issue.

Looks like 8 win mail application is a total bust. I found the "Windows Live Mail" app where I can add all my accounts and customize the default fonts. The behavior is similar to outlook. hope that helps people.

  • List of deleted files on Windows vista

    Hello

I accidentally deleted music files and emptied the Recycle Bin...

How can I find a list of the names of files that have been deleted by mistake?

I don't need to recover the files, just to know what files have been removed from my pc.

    Thank you

    Hello

To see which files have been deleted use the initial part of the restoration using Recuva-
You can then restore or not as you wish.

Recuva - free - recovers files deleted from your Windows computer, Recycle Bin, digital
map of the camera or MP3 player. And it's free!

  • default font in Windows 8 is way too small. How can I change? Don't waste time telling the display and appearance. Does not help.

in the directory, the file names are much too small.  You want to change font Times New Roman 12, for everything.  Expansion to 124% does not affect the file names.  Don't want to pay for the update driver software as it will not fix this.

    Hello

I'm not on my machine to win 8 to check right now, but if you right click the desktop, then select the screen resolution, you should see 'Make text and other items larger or smaller'

Click on it... and down the middle of the screen that opens, you should see a drop down for different types of text (icons and etc..). There is also a menu next to him where you can set the font size for the different types of windows, icons and etc...

I don't think that there is an option to select the Types of fonts such as Times Roman, for example, but there could be...
