Local folios CS6

Hopefully a simple question - are all folios 'local' by default when created in CS6?

I've been away from DPS for awhile, but I remember in CS5 there was a box that noted that a folio was local. I think there was an option to choose local or other options when it was created.

I am wanting to get a glimpse directly on the iPad without having to download. I realize there are problems with this at the moment until the viewer content later gets approved by Apple, but it seems a good way to start working on a folio.

My apologies if this is a stupid question, but I can't seem to find the answer.

TIA

If you are not connected to the Folio Builder Panel, all the slips are the. If you are connected, there is a checkbox in the dialog box Create Folio that allows you to create a local folio. Once you publish the local producer Folio folio, you cannot go back to local.

  • Do local folio InDesign again?

    Hello

I created a local sheet in InDesign. I previously exported it as a business application.

I downloaded it is based on a cloud instead, - something I immediately regretted it!

The problem is: my company DPS membership is under a different username Adobe that I downloaded.

Is it possible in InDesign to a local folio again to be based on a cloud?

I shared the folio with the other username, but no linking InDesign files. I added about 80 .indds and related files/videos/html5 so REALLY want to go through the creation of a new folio and all tests to principle.

    Help, please!

    Phil

I think your options are limited:

    • You can keep the folio, where it is
    • You can share the folio with a different account, and then copy it on (and also delete the original). This will put the folio in the account of the law, but will still be online
    • Reupload your folio locally

There is no way to do a folio online offline again, I'm afraid.

  • Melted cross in a folio (CS6)

My company is 2 years behind the DPS of the curve (and by extension, therefore I am) so I apologize if this seems to be a stupid question.

I have build a folio CS6 and would like to create a cross fader from one article to the other.

    • I have a 4 seconds intro video
    • I want to run automatically when the folio is open
    • When it finishes I want to cross fade in the folio cover
    • Is there a way to do this?

There should not be separate articles, it might be MSO if it's a better way, as long as it is not reload the video when someone goes back to the cover.

Only, I have not found a description on how I can cross fade to one disposal (1024 x 768) to another.

Any help would be appreciated (even a "hey this is fake, < here >").

    Transferred to DPS forum.

There is no way to do it without having the video replay when the lid is reloaded.

  • How can I get my file of folio CS6 (digital magazine) to my iPad without an internet connection?

    Hi all

How can I get my file of folio CS6 (digital magazine) to my iPad without an internet connection? I'll be in a place without internet connection and have yet to get my folio of the files from my laptop to my iPad to share with my clients. I looked everywhere but can't seem to find how to do this.

    Thank you!

Depends on what you mean by part. If you want to put your folio on ipad of your customer, so they can listen to samples, everything they do is jack their iPad to your computer, launch content adobe Viewer and click Preview on the device in the folio generator Panel. This will push your folio on their ipad. Then, they can view content.

If by hand, you mean... give physical files for you customers so that they can do (honestly I don't know what they would do with one file other than view folio it on the device), there is no way to do it.

  • Sideloading local folio in iPad3 Viewer (file API)

We have sideloaded a new Viewer customized our iPad3 so that we could test 2048 folios and it appears correctly in the game shares of iTunes files. However, although we have made local folios we cannot locate them (on Mac or PC) in order to drag them into the box of Documents. Where are stored the local folios?

If you turn on the player in a development application, you can either use the old Bundler (v11) content tools to export a single .folio file, or you can track sideload and local files temporary .folio those. On Mac OS, you must show hidden files. If you have a Lion, you can hold down the Option key and choose go > library. In your user library, explore the preferences > StageManager. [#] > Local host and then bag around these folders for your files .folio.

A better option is to build a custom Adobe viewer and use the Preview on the device, which requires PhoneDisk.

  • Error when updating Folio CS6

I have a Folio that I built in CS5 released and everything, but I want to update. I've updated in CS6 re-recorded all the files and links, but I always get an error when I try to "update" in Folio Builder.

    Error generating content.

Could not open the file. Please confirm that the file can be opened in the current version of InDesign.

Probably you need to fix links to overlays. Look for any recovery in which you specify a target file or folder (sequences of images, audio controllers, local HTML files, panoramas). Select the overlay and open the control panel overlays. If you see a yellow triangle, fix the links.

If this does not work, build and test folio and add items. When you preview the folio text, you should be able to determine what the origin of the problem article.

  • Question of access to the local file CS6 road

I have an external USB drive with all the files on my local website for the customers, this disc starts to behave badly. I already backed up the files on another drive and I need to know if I unplug and do not take into account the original USB and attemnpt to access the files copied from another disk will be the paths automatically change?

For example, if I have a folder with a path

Original drive / folder with the local files / localdreamweaverfolder

and try to access the same files with the original drive path change to

Disc 2 / folder with the local files / localdreamweaverfolder

    will there be a problem?

    R

You must change the site definition to point to the new location on the new drive. You should be golden, once you do this.

  • Rebuild the folio for local development vs development based on a cloud

Now that the issue of the "Preview on the device works not not for iOS devices" is behind us, how to make my folio available locally or in the cloud? Can I import all the 100 + articles on the cloud and re-create a version local folio? Or is there a better approach?

    Tidbit:

Before the show, I built my folio locally and when issues occurred, I'm done uploading to the cloud for further development as an interim solution. Work on the cloud is not practical, because it consumes the use of unnecessary data, especially for people with a monthly data plan capped with the internet service provider.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I think that what you are really asking is if you can take an online folio and capture one offline. The answer is no. You have to re-create the folio as a folio in offline mode. Once it is moved to the cloud there.

  • Help! Unable to connect to the Folio Builder sign from v26 patch

Hello. Help, please. Since the v26 tools for CS6 upgrade I can not connect to the folio builder Panel and discovered my folios online. The creative connection cloud appears and after signing in it closes and returns me to the finder. When I get back to InDesign, I can only view my local folios. I need to post something today and it won't. Is there a way I can get down to V25 until this problem is solved?

  • Folios for conferences and students: impossible to get a glimpse...

    Hi all

I would like to create folios as a supplement to my classes using InDesign CS6, but I wonder if this is possible without creative clouds or DPS membership.

According to the help of Adobe, I understand that it is: "Panel Folio Builder, Digital Publishing Suite Dashboard and DPS App Builder all requires a verified Adobe ID to connect." Registration for the Folio Builder Panel is optional. If you do not sign, you can create local folios and preview using the viewer of office or in the Adobe Content Viewer on a mobile device. Join the Folio Builder Panel allows you to download folios to the acrobat.com server. You can download these fact sheets to your mobile device or share them with other users... »

However, once I created my folio I can only view using the content viewer Adobe desktop but not on the iPad (even if it is connected to the pc and with AdContent viewer).

    Thanks for your help.

    Patrick

They will have to verified Adobe ID and iPads. Then just share the folio

with these IDS in the folio builder Panel menu.

  • How can I control setting multiplied between status object box & static box w / scrolling image: Folio

I am trying to find a way to control the InDesign object "multiply" effect layer between a Black w / box state object transparency (which turns out as a transparent grey rather than black) and a static area w / scroll image with the same effect (which turns out correct transparent black dark, rich) parameters? I'm working on an iPad app "Folio" CS6. Thank you in advance!

Blend modes are not supported overlays of static objects.

  • See folio on custom Viewer app

I built an application Viewer customized and loaded on my ipad successfully, but I can't understand how to display a folio in there.

I tried to post my folio, sharing even to create a new local folio with sideload generation option. Nothing I see creates a .folio file. The portal only allows me to export a .zip file.

A guide on how I can actually test my custom with a true folio application runs in fact publish?

If I open my Viewer application custom when connected to my mac via USB I don't have option ipad view as I do with the Adobe Content Viewer.

    Thank you

    -Phil

Your custom application shows only folios published as public. In the multimedia producer Folio, select the folio and choose Publish. Choose Public and free (I guess that's not retail) and specify a product ID. If you used the same Adobe ID to publish the folio that you specify in the field title ID of your custom application, the folio should appear.
