Locked blackBerry Smartphones speed dial numbers

I understand that my new torch took a few touches on the speed dial that are locked like change the Ring ring profile to vibrate etc..

My (s) questions are if I have a name that starts with Q? It does not allow me to add

a dial speed for this name? (I tried). Also how do edit you a blocked speed dial numbers?

I have a voicemail speed dial number that is not valid?

Thank you

Hello OlderBiker,

Speed dial keys 1, Q and r cannot be changed because they are generated for certain actions.

If your voicemail settings are not correct, you must contact your ISP for assistance.

Thank you and have a nice day.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones speed dial works erratic at best

I tried to assign speed dials to my family and friends and find it almost impossible to maintain.

1 contacts go where the phone, want not where I assign - initially

    2. "Move Contact" key seems to work but contacts back, annihilate the other.

    3. There is no "Save" function to "lock" the changes once they are made

    4. even after you think you have it as you wish, one-touch buttons not necessarily the contacts that you think that you have saved.

    Man, it's FRUSTRATING.

Which 'should' work, but does not work for me.  I still can't get the contacts to stay where I assign.

The method described will initially put contacts into the slots of dial speed, but during the closure of the 'view' access and re-opening, they move.  AND how fast the composition, it is more or less 'speed dial roulette', you get all that seems to come up.  Or, at least, I did it on my Storm (running V4.7.065 (Platform 4.0.0.82)).

  • Tour Verizon blackBerry Smartphones speed dials

I just bought a round and there are three speed dials preset which cannot be modified or moved - a-lock system, q - change phone profile and w - voicemail. VZW Rep could not answer why they could not be moved. He blames on BB. Any other experience with this obstacle?

    One of my rants: http://www.blackberryforums.com/general-9600-series-discussion-tour/198722-4-5-available-major-updat...

    CafeRacer808:
I was able to change the preset w (1) speed selector as follows:

Press the green call button send
    Press Menu BBerry
Go to the speed dial list view
Press W to go to the "Preset" to change
Press enter (carriage return) - now you can select a new contact for this speed dial from the contacts list that appears.

    I hope this helps!

  • BlackBerry Smartphones speed dial an automated voicemail system

I am a new user of BB and have asked several people how abbreviated to my office voicemail system to retrieve messages.  Previously on standard mobile phones, I dial phone number, insert "ppp" for breaks, while the auto attendant would make the next step.  There are 3 sets of number to get all the way in.  Example: 800-555-5555ppp555ppp5555ppp5555 and I would be able to retrieve messages.

I tried a few different options and have be unsuccessful.  My carrier is AT & T.  BB is a Bold 9700.  Does anyone have any suggestions?

    Yes.

When you program the speed dial, you will need to enter the number as a contact number in the address book. So, as you create this contact in the phone number entry screen, you will see the W or P support to enter the WAIT or PAUSE that you need.

  • Speed dial numbers?

Does anyone know how to add speed dial numbers to contacts? I more concerned about the simple things right now. Once I have these down I'll go apps.

Cool. In fact was simply playing with mine again and found the abbreviated way was probably intended. Gets the same as I have explained above.

You can press Menu-> add to the home screen and choose shortcuts->direct line.

  • BlackBerry Classic speed dial back at the top of the call screen

I used to have 12 contacts in the upper part of the speed of call screen to compose. Now I'm down to only 8. I try to add an extra 4 it tells me that I have exceeded the maximum number allowed. I just moved to the classic, this device was working fine on my previous 3 Q10s.

    Any suggetsions?

If you look in the 10.3.2 the user guide, it says:

"You can add a total of eight contacts or numbers to the speed dial list on the screen of the calls.

I also looked in the guide to the previous version (10.3.1) and it is said you can have 12 contacts. Thus, they seem to have reduced the number from 12 to 8 for some reason any.

  • Emergency aid of blackBerry Q10 speed dial

    the story so far...

well after my first week of owning a Q10.

software update and the only problem was that it reproduces all my entries contact therefore had to manually remove entries from more than 260.

the urgent notice I need now is the definition of the speed dials.

I'm going to phone page > pull down the top screen > settings > short keypress > together as security 9/c - 8 / Fire x or

    stop heart/e 2

as you can guess I work in a hospital. the problem is when I press the quick key for everything that ive programmed in it makes a page for:

    call a contact

    text by contact

    applications - bbm / calculator / callender / camera

so his thought, I want something C and not the speed dial.

any ideas as this is very important, especially if we have a call/cardiac accident stop and I have to faff about the composition of the emergency number.

    Thanks in advance

    3rd time lucky.

    now, it's strange.

Ive joined 3 other forums including vodafone to see if anyone has any ideas.

15 minutes ago he was still doing the same thing and taking me to a menu screen.

I have download a screenshot app so I can post exactly what its weight and guess what... his work.

I press one of the dialing numbers fast storred to get a screenshot and it dials the number.

only thing I could put this down too is a glitch in the software and loading a new program launched his * beep * speed.

so I can say... Fortunately Detective Conan.

  • BlackBerry 10 speed dial

I try to add a number to speed dial, but when I take the number, there is no option to speed dial? suggestions, tnx

    Hi kia007,

Welcome to the BlackBerry support community.

Currently there is no option for Speed Dial that you assign to a contact in a letter on the keyboard key, but what you can do is rather preferred a contact to make them appear at the top of your phone app where you can type their picture to call. You can do this in the phone application by pressing and now contact and selecting the star in the Menu that fits on the side of the screen.

Let me know if this helps you.

    See you soon

Speed dials will be on your tab s callin the phone app.  You can add the first two by pressing one of the boxes to Add number next to the voicemail icon.  This will take you to the contact list where you can select the person or the number you want to add.

Once these have been added, you can add additional numbers to your speed dial in one of two ways.  First is to go to the section Contacts of the phone app and tap the person you want to add.  Long press the number, and then select the * on the sidebar.  The other way is by pressing long on a number in the call log.  Then press the * in the side menu
