lost my sound indication bar. How can I get that back?

I just want to know how to get my sound indicator when I turn the volume upwards or downwards. It is something stupid to have concerns, but its just bugging me that I don't see where the volume is.

Hi brallen,

1. right click on the task bar > select "Properties".
2. Select the tab 'Area of Notification' > put a check mark in the box "Volume".
3. Select OK

  • I have a Latitude E6400 Windows Vista and lost all the sound elements. How can I get that back?

I can't do audio on youtube or DVDs on my laptop. Any suggestions?

    Hello

Do you have any audio at all?

You should probably download and install the latest drivers for your audio device.

Be sure to set the compatibility to the correct version for which they were written.

Uninstall your Audio device in Device Manager before you reinstall the drivers.

    EDIT:

I just checked Dell, and there are three models different e6400.

I downloaded the Win 7 Audio drivers for e6400 and found that they will probably have to be REMOVED to be able to establish the compatibility of the installer with INSTALLATION inside the packaging.

To do this, you will need a program such as WinRar, WinZip or 7Zip. I think 7Zip has a free version.

After installing the program, right click on your program of driver installation and EXTRACT, as you would a zip file.

Then open the folder and double click it to install the Win 7 INSTALLATION compatibility value

I lost the sound recorder. The program has disappeared. How can I get that back?

    Hi dstaub53,

In "gone", I assume that you do not see the menu of all the Programs.Accessories? Try clicking on the Start button and typing sound (or tape recorder) in the search box. The sound recorder.exe file should then appear at the top of the search list.

Click or double-click the exe of tape recorder to open the sound recorder.
