LP1 Problem___

I can't get my HP Laser Jet 6 MP printer to work on my new computer. I am running XP. It was fine on my old computer (also running Windows XP) I get no error message and Device Manager reports no problem with the port.

Thank you

Dave Rickson.

Hello David Rickson.

Thank you for your message.  What exactly happens when you print?  You see the printer when you click 'Start' > 'printers and faxes '?  If so, try right-clicking on the printer and select "Properties".  On the "Général" tab, select "Print Test Page".  Did print the test page?  If Yes, then you can close the Properties window and right click on the printer and select "Set as default".  If the test page does not work, you may need to click HERE to download the latest driver for HP printing, don't forget that you will need to select your operating system and if you're under 32 or 64 bits.  If you're unsure, you can check by double-clicking "My computer" and select "Properties".
Please let us know if it did or did not help to solve your problem.
See you soon

To give you a little history, Windows Mail does not support the HTTP messaging, which for a long time was the only authorized method of access for free Hotmail/MSN accounts. In addition, given that the development of Windows Mail was frozen in July 2006, there no knowledge that Microsoft has enabled POP access for free Hotmail/Live/MSN accounts in February 2009. Therefore, the Windows Mail Account Setup Wizard is hardcoded to reject the Hotmail and MSN addresses. To work around this limitation, when you enter your Hotmail/MSN email address, initially, use a fake domain, such as * address email is removed from the privacy *. After the account setup is complete, you can go back into the settings and correct your email address.

  • WPSM54G and Windows 7 32 bit and HP 6110xi

I hope you can help out me.  I have read the posts and thought I followed everything and do everything as well as the U of M has done by getting the big 10 Championship.  I followed the instructions in the messages... Click the reset button to get used to the internet IP address diagnostic test page explore to change the IP address to the print server to 192.168.1.98.  the subnet and the gateway are the same as on the diagnostic test page.  I can do a test print page since the trouble-free printing server.  I have no problem printing if I connect the HP6110xi printer via the USB port on my Toshiba (windows 7 32 bit - just improved it this week last of Vista).  However, whenever I try to print from my Toshiba via the print server that I get nothing - it goes to the queue from print and nothing happens.    I added the port, entered 192.168.1.98 IP address, set the LPR Protocol, I tried the names of queue of LP1, L1 and L2 (and rebooted after each change), I have not changed the printer driver which was installed when I plugged the printer directly to the computer.  I also tried to add a local printer and a network printer with no luck.  Any ideas?

Right-click on the printer and click Properties... Click the Advanced tab and check the option "Print directly to the printer" and check again...

  • Installation of the error on Vista WPS54G printer server

    • Properly installed on XP but on my Vista computer I get message "Set printer Fail. Error Code # 87 "wheninstalling print server driver.

    Try this-

Open the control panel in Vista and open the "Printers" folder Click on "Add a printer" and at the prompt, click "add a local printer. In the next screen, click "create a new port". On the line 'Type of the Port', use drop down the menu and select "Standard TCP/IP Port" and click Next.

Under "Device Type" use drop down the menu and select "TCP/IP device. The host name or the IP address for this device will be the address assigned in the tab Protocol on the administration web page. Click on the box that will allow the o/s query the printer for the correct driver and click "next".

The 'Additional Port descriptive' screen should open. Click on "Custom", then "settings". Protocol = LPR and LPR parameters are: name of the queue = LP1 and check on "LPR Byte counting enabled." 'Active SNMP state' let off. Click here to return to the "additional Port Information.

Install the printer driver for your printer. Select your manufacturer and model from the list provided and click "Next"... If your printer is already installed, click the button to use the driver already installed. Click on 'Next' and assign a unique name to your wireless print server. Once you are done right click on your printer icon and choose the option "use printer online". Print your Test Page... I hope this helps.

  • Computer laptop 32 bit Vista will not shareprint with XP Office officejet v40 printer. Help, please

I have read forums and tried everything for 4 days without luck.

I'm trying to print from my 32-bit vista laptop to my printer of office xp... an old officejet v40 printer.

The office prints well on this printer from xp desktop attached and I named shared printer.  All security and firewall disabled. I started at least 20 times and have tried to install unsuccessfully

It seems that the HP driver Web page has a driver for vista, BUT the instructions are only if you hang the printer directly with the USB... No shared networking. I always thought that you could just download the dirver to the computer and it turns when you go to install it. I made for the devil to the hook to the top of my computer vista laptop directly to the printer and it installs and works fine... BUT I want it in a network or shared... no USB.

Also, if I go to "Add a network printer" and select the printer in office shared in the list, it will be in my control panel as a printer on my laptop, but when I hit print, I get the pop box, which allows you to set the preferences, print etc, and when I hit print again, the small pop-up box flashes on for a second that it's printing paper... but no printing. Instead of this, when go to see what happened to the list of document status, I see the State of the document listed as error - printing"

I don't know if I have vista for this printer driver in my laptop or what? I'm totally confused by the present. I read somewhere that there is no way for a computer vista laptop to print over the network to this HP printer while the printer is connected directly to a computer running XP? Is this true?

I rarely if ever gave to be beaten by computer problems... but this one had me done bankruptcy for the third time and about to give up. Any help would be appreciated.

THIS TIME IT WORKED! After several months of not being able to print from my computer vista laptop for my v40 OfficeJet (which is connected to my desktop XP) I decided that I would give it one more try. I used once more Bob of the 2nd ad above, as well as suggesion Eddy's instructions to select "New Port" when you arrive at the end close to Bob's instructions. THIS TIME IT WORKED! I think I'm out track somewhere when I tried to do this several months ago. In any case, I thought that I have would expand a bit on what Bob wrote just in case there's someone that who needs a little more in detail. (For a beginner, even the smallest thing can be stumbling blocks if you have never done this kind of thing before)

On your computer vista laptop, go to printers and Control Panel. When you click the Printers icon you can click on add printer and select Add local printer (it even if it is not a local printer, but a printer that is connected to your desktop computer in another room) Ok... Then select "Use the existing Port" LP1. Then you select your printer from the list and click on it to install the driver. I think that you then click FINISH. (No you are not really over, so don't bother is not clicking on this Test Page again). Once you click FINISH, you will automatically be on the screen that shows the printers you have installed on your laptop. for help. You will then see the the OfficeJet v40 as the printer that you just installed. Highlight and right click. Then select "Run as Administrator". That will open a submenu where you and then click Properties. Then click on Ports, Add Port. Select "Local Port" and click "New Port" (as Eddy proposed). A small screen will appear where you enter now the \\NameOfPrinterYouArePrintingTo\ShareNameOfThatPrinter once you do this and click on apply and OK, you will be brought to a final screen where you will notice that the box LP1 is more verified. Place a check mark was automatically placed in the new port that you just created above IE name\sharename.  YOUR DONE!

  • Find days between the dates expressed in days.

Hi, I have a table with a structure similar to the following:

    LP1 TIME_EQ P_DAY LP2
    17.2

    0

    MONDAY
    16.8

    0.25

    TUESDAY
    17.03.5THURSDAY
    17.75FRIDAY
    17.41FRIDAY
    16.9.25SATURDAY
    17.1.25SATURDAY
    17.5SUNDAY

    Now I have two variables dates D1 = October 10, 2013 (Thursday) and D2 = 13 October 2013 (Sunday).

How do I change my table such as only the lines covered between dates D1 and D2 are updated? In this case, the lines where the P_DAY (Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday) I will use it for my slider, my query begins with this:

    CURSOR LOAD_PROF is

    SELECT LP1, TIME_EQ, P_DAY

    DE LOAD_PROFILE_TEST

    P_DAY in (? days between D1 and D2).

I hope you get my point.  Thank you.

First impression is that your table design seems incorrect to me. Why just store DAY? Why not the whole date?

    Says you can do this

    Select lp1

    time_eq

    p_day

    of load_profile_test

    where p_day in)

    Select to_char (start_date + (level 1), "fmDAY") day_

    de)

    Select to_date (October 10, 2013 ',' mon-dd-yyyy "") start_date

    , to_date (13 October 2013 ',' mon-dd-yyyy "") end_date

    of the double

    )

    connect

    by level<=  end_date="" -="" start_date ="" +="">

    )

And finally the cursor? Try to do so in direct SQL. Do not loop through a cursor. If you share this part, we can give you best suggestion on the implementation of your real problem.
