M5-583p-9688 conversion of UEFI (GPT) in BIOS (MBR)

I'm trying to convert my UEFI BIOS/MBR due to the fact that I need Setup 1.30 to start correctly for an external graphics card. Here is the page because it provided with the software: file:///C:/Users/Benton/Desktop/NANDO4'S%20SETUP%201.30/DIYeGPU-Setup-130-install-TI.htm

I looked on google and found this:

http://www.disk-partition.com/Windows-10/convert-MBR-GPT-Windows-10-0528.html (Look in AOMEI Partition Wizard Convert MBR/GPT in Windows 10 without loss of data)

This is, I have 6 partitions, which are labeled, and I don't want to lose something important to my computer in the long term. So how can I delete? And then, what do I do first? Replace all MBR partitions can switch to the BIOS on the MBR? Or Switch BIOS on the MBR, then convert files? Because I am afraid to have a locked computer files MBR with UEFI and vice versa.

Nothing different in an Acer Windows 10 ISO. Here is a link to the tool for creating Windows Media 10, scroll down to the bottom.

It will give you the ability to record an ISO.

System BIOS: F.23 (Insyde) [diagnostic system (F2) supported]

This BIOS does support UEFI (TPG)?

In addition, boot.ini could be tweaked to boot LINUX?

If the HD is partitioned to TPG, Windows 7 Home Premium can be reinstalled from the created under MBR recovery DVD?

HP recovery will erase the entire hard drive and restore it on an MBR disk and all the original scores, so no, it won't work.

I do not know if this bios supports the start of TPG,

  • REFERENCE DELL UEFI/GPT R310, PERC H700

    Hello (or rather the night).

I have a dell poweredge R310 (with PERC H700) server and 3 hard drives.

The first two are the storage on SATA drive with a capacity of 3 TB (each 6 to total) this operation of RAID 1.

The third is a 64 GB SSD for boot into the operating system (I chose to set up Debian).

I read a few topics who insist to start using UEFI and put the storage disks to GPT for the OS can fully recognize.

If I could access the UEFI interface, with the configuration of raid PERC H700, but I can't find any indication of the GPT.

How can I go about it, is that I missed a step?

Hoping that someone will help me :)

No, TPG is a function of the operating system, NOT the hardware, so if the PERC does not recognize the full capacity of disc, then either your H700 firmware is old (> 2 to support has been added in the second update of firmware for this card) or the drive is not compatible.  What make and model are you using?

There's NO sense being caustic.  You can use this simple test called parallels KB.

  • Constant graphical Failure(M5-583P-9688)

This happened since I updated to Windows 10, and I can't go back. The 4400 HD installed on the i7-4500U continually fails on every 30 to 45 minutes, when I run Minecraft and such things. But I still can't understand. And when I try to download the VGA driver with the graphics driver expected included, it still says I have the wrong seller, even if it's false. Unpacking the exe or zip also fails. And I made sure that I got it from the official driver page. But seriously, we have to fix it now. I can't even the generic drivers for the thing.

Oops, sorry, I forgot to mark the solution, it's here: (ATTENTION: you will NOT use an Acer driver approved, but a generic, do not guarantee cancelled.) Download the installer of YOUR HD graphics. Mine is HD4400).

    1. Download driver for your driver GRAHPICS (HD4400 * CHECK FIRST *) of SITE of DRIVER GENERIC INTEL HD4400: CLICK ME! YES! ME! HOWEVER, don't start yet.

    2. go into Device Manager, graphics card, find and remove the intel Acer one COMPLETELY, ONE THAT SAYS INTEL.

    3. run the installer after restarting and completely removed the old drivers of Acer.

    4. If you have M5 - 583P, your driver version will be 20.19.15.4380.

I always thought that the problem the printer, but after the installation of the other and get the same disappointing result, I think that the technology of Canon is just.

No idea how to proceed from here. Hoping that it is a simple setting change somewhere?

  • Lenovo IdeaPad Z570 - problem disk MBR/GPT (or BIOS/UEFU)

    Hello!

Someone would be kind enough to tell me how I can disable the UEFI BIOS of my Lenovo IdeaPad Z570 mode?
(I can see very little things and options in the menu of the BIOS for the moment).
It is necessary, as I want to reinstall Windows 7 Home Premium on my computer and during installation there is an error message - while choosing the partition where to install the system: "Windows cannot be installed to this disk. The selected disk is a MBR partition table. On EFI systems, Windows cannot be installed on GPT disks. »
And I read somewhere that disable UEFI mode would solve the problem.

Furthermore, I have ideas or suggestions for this problem.

There are two solutions for your problem.

CAVEAT! The two ways in which I am proposing are going to ERASE ALL OF YOUR DATA on YOUR HD! If you what you want to backup, copy before doing so.
First of all, easy, is to delete all partitions on your drive through the windows setup utility. Then, windows will offer to convert GPT disk.
Or, if windows is not this "automatic" way, you can convert GPT disk using diskpart.
To do this, use this manual to access the http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/682-command-prompt-startup.html of the console

    Then, type following commands

    DiskPart

    Wait until it loads, then

    LIST DISK<-- this="" will="" list="" currently="" connected="" disks,="" you="" should="" determine="" which="" of="" the="" disks="" is="" the="" one="" on="" which="" you="" want="" to="" install="" windows="" and="" remember="" its="">

SELECT DISK <0> <--you should="" replace=""> <0>with the number you had on the previous step, in most cases, it would be 0

    CLEAN

    CONVERT A GPT

    CREATE PARTITION EFI SIZE = 200 OFFSET = 1024

    SELECT PARTITION 1

    FORMAT FS = FAT32 QUICK

CREATE PARTITION PRIMARY SIZE = OFFSET = 206848

    SELECT PARTITION 2

    FORMAT FS = NTFS QUICK

That should be all) after that, you should be able to install windows on your hard drive.

  • Physical machine UEFI (instead of BIOS)

    Hello

Can't find in the notes version or manual if it can P2V a UEFI computer now.

    Thank you!

    E1

It would make not much sense to support UEFI without support GPT.

When you do P2V Converter reads the MBR partition table to analyze the partitions to the source. Reading and analysis of GPT partitions are not trivial. When they weigh the requirements for 5.0 this was not so important compared to other entities and has been left for a future version.

  • UEFI problem after BIOS update

    Hello

I've recently updated the version of BIOS for the Envy 15 J049TX.

After the windows update shows "not properly configured SecureBoot.

    Please suggest a solution

    Hi Provost,

I'm happy to announce that I have overcome the problem of activation of the SecureBoot. I saw an option in BIOS-> setting-> 'HP Factory loading key' Boot. After I loaded the default keys to toggle SecureBoot option has become active and I was able to activate SecureBoot. I applied the last update of the BIOS and has been able to activate SecureBoot successfully after the update.

I wanted to know if this method is safe and that there can be no other effects on the other parts of the system.

Thank you very much for the help.

  • 8 64-bit downgrade from windows 7 32-bit Windows, how do I disable UEFI and GPT

I brought a new laptop preinstalled Windows 8. After 2 days, I decide it downgrade to my previous windows 7. I have over 2 TB of HDD, so I do not think that UEFI and GPT is good for me. I use Diskpart to convert GPT on the MBR. However, I received a warning message when I installed Windows 7, it says "Setup could not create a new partition system.

Also, I went into the BIOS, it seemed to me that I could not disable UEFI. Maybe I could find a few early versions for a test.
    Any help would be appreciated.
    LW

You will need to go to your bios settings disable secure boot and also change it to mode inherited from wood. also select USB and CD boot options
Then when your computer starts on the button of start menu (usually f12) and select your operating system support is on
Follow these instructions on activation of your downgrade after installation

  • Are the hard drives on the Thinkpads MBR or GPT?

Which series of Thinkpads have GPT disks and which have MBR? In addition, how a conversion from one to the other (from GPT on the MBR to support older operating systems, for example), whereas the Thinkpads have usually only one hard drive?

I think all thinkpads provided with Win7 disk MBR. I don't know how it is now with Win8, but I guess they went to UEFI only and the GPT boot.
