  If you have already done a battery pull and then open your main Inbox > press the menu key > view folder > you will need to check each Inbox for all unread messages, also check all Messages.

  Also if already restarted, then try again the same but removes your SIM card also this time and wait at least one or two minutes before inserting the battery on your device.

  Please someone help this thing is driving me crazy. I have a notification icon frm nowhere and I don't know what it is that it is a white envelope with a small black circle in the middle of the envelope and jst ontop of the black circle is a red circle, so it is a white envelope with a black and a red circle in the middle.   Hey all... Sorry to sound like a total newbie, but I have another question which I hope I can get a helping hand with.

  After I created my Gmail account on my BB, I have now 3 icons for the messaging-SMS/MMS icon for Gmail and "Messages". For some reason any, whenever I get an email, it appears in the "Messages" icon, NOT on the gmail icon. Is there a setting I'm missing here?

  It's strange... I get an email where I'm supposed to, and the plugin works now... I did turn off my phone and turn it back on... and just left alone while I worked, too. Hard to say what he did, but safe to say that I am very pleased that his work.

  Hi, can someone help me please?  I have three e-mail accounts on my phone and until two days ago I had four e-mail icons, one for each e-mail account and a general icon in emails went as well as individual accounts.

  For some reason, I lost one of the icons and although I continue to receive emails to this account they show only under the "general" or icon everything. I tried to remove and reinstall the account, but that does not work and following the advice given to other people on this forum who have lost icons does not either.

  1. on your home screen, press Menu > SHOW ALL, so that ALL DISPLAY is checked.
  2. look in EVERY folder on your device... Applications, instant messaging, downloads, etc.
  If you don't see it still, look at the Options > advanced > Applications. Do you not see it listed there?

  Now, if you don't always see on your "BOLD", open the e-mail icon > Menu button > Options or settings and find the setting that turns e-mail to the general account to the wide and see if that is enabled for the lost email icon.

  Since you have wiped the device, you must always push your Service books to the BlackBerry.

  On your home screen, open main messages Inbox > highlight any date or say today > press the Menu key > click on "mark read prior", then do a battery pull reboot by removing the battery while your unit is powered, wait a min. then reinsert this return. After restarting, please check if the problem resolves.

  So basically, you want to remove an email account that you added to your device? Don't want to receive e-mail from this account?

  If you deleted this email account in the account BIS login box, now on the device, go to Options > advanced > Service books and find the two inscriptions which mention that counts, the two [CICAL] e-mail and entries [CIMIME], delete both.

  Then, restart the BlackBerry > with the BlackBerry device powered on, remove the battery a few seconds and then reinsert the battery to restart.

  Every time I have send an SMS or an e-mail, I receive a text or email message that I just sent back.

  Can I turn that off?  Keep the message in the sent file is sufficient.

  BB 8330. Have two e-mail (Google and Yahoo) accounts, with different ringtones. Somehow the tone for one would ring to the other. Pulled battery and Redid the ringtone. No luck. Delete the mail from the phone and then reinstalled, now I have no mail icon. Any help? Thank you. bdja

  It depends on how you "deleted" Messaging icons?

  In both cases, go to the "Mail Setup" or "Manage Internet Email" icon (usually under settings) and add accounts or to return the directories of service if the accounts are still there.
