Mailing list subscription page/double opt-in system problems

So forgive me if I'm missing something, but as far as I know the with double-optin subscription process (as opposed to dominant double optin) currently looks like this:

  1. user enters the name + email + captcha
  2. the user receives the system message that the confirmation was successful
  3. the user receives the confirmation email (double optin)
  4. user clicks on check the link goes to the page to confirm the subscription
  5. the user receives the same message from system in step 2 that their confirmation was successful

The main problem with the above is that nowhere in the above process are redirected users to check their email for a verification email, so they are quite often the whole double optin. Then, this forces users of BC to overried double optin or request in bulk optin to their users.

So my question is: are there at - it a way or any script to customize step 2 system message if it tells users to check their email for the verification/optin email? Otherwise, the process is inherently flawed as users believe that they have been subscribed to the mailing list.

Here's what I did. That's assuming you want to keep the process of Double Opt - In:

(1) create a new landing page saying new subscribers to wait for an email asking them to confirm their registration. Site manager > Pages > Add Page > http://exampledomain.com/pleaseconfirm.html

2) go to your subscription forms and add & PageID = / pleaseconfirm.html at the end of the string that begins with

Now, the user experience will be the following:

(1) they will go to your new landing page after completing the initial application form. Your new landing page should inform them that they will receive an e-mail requesting confirmation of the subscription.

(2) the user receives the confirmation request email. PLEASE NOTE: The email they receive is that you create as the answering machine for this specific mailing list (E-Mail Marketing > lists > your list > Autoresponder tab) and NOT the Double Opt-In Email, listed in the Site Manager > email system. This is what is sent when you click the button "Email request Double Opt - In" subscription in the customer info tab in the CRM. This can be confusing.

(3) when the user clicks on the link in the confirmation request email they will be directed to the system Pages > Email Marketing > request for Confirmation of subscription.

(4) when the user clicks the button confirm in the subscription Confirmation request page, they will be directed to the system Pages > Email Marketing > confirmed subscription.

If you do not create custom landing page, in accordance with the foregoing, the user will be directed to the system Pages > Email Marketing > subscription confirmed in TWO steps 1 and 4. That's what led to confusion, source of inspiration, the original question of this thread.

At least this is how it works for me.

    When e-mails arrive is does not contain the double opt-in code/link. It is essentially empty where the code should be. We checked the email to be sent and it does not contain the code should appear. We checked this link help as well. http://forums.adobe.com/message/4449228

    I have a number of subscriptions e-mail (42) listed on the "My subscriptions" page of SSRS (2008 r2).  They all go to the same people at the same time, so this list is not discern-able. Each line has the same appearance and if I find a certain subscription a change to what I have to hunt and peck until I have find the right. Is it possible to change the Description column so I can say each of these apart? Or someone has a suggestion on how to get around?

    you need to a blind to unsubscribe... form so, technically, you will have 2 links in the footer... opt for one and the other to send to... for the opt-out subscription center, you need spend the parameters required in the blind form link, to ensure that the contact is being chosen in the same form of blink link, you can pass a value of source of e-mail... also name made sure your registration page is able to capture a value source... now for the e-mail name, you would need a fusion system, if you have google analytic or some sort of parameter that you go... you will see a merger of eloqua email those... just enter name and pass it as a source... you will see e-mail captured in consequence name...

    (1) to export the entire list and search in Excel

    (2) If you know the name of contacts or send them to a CRM contact search and manage their postal subscription details

    Hi Mary,

    Any form can have the subscriptions list added for update. You can create a page and a form in their secure area called subscriptions. They can click on which they want to connect to.

    Currently you can only unsubscribe via email themsleves.

    I configured a call aa with extention Manager 2000.

    Also set up a Point of road Cti with 2000 on Callmanager extension. The Cti route Point will send all calls to voicemail.

    When I choose a Subscriber as the owner of the call handler, I can compose 2000 and attain salvation.

    But when I choose a public mailing list as the owner of the call handler, I hear the system error during a call to 2000. There that anything wrong here?

    I tried to reproduce your problem on the 4.0 unit (3) Sr and CCM 4.0 (1) but has not had a problem. I changed the owner of a PDL with a single Subscriber.

    I think that your problem may actually be the bond of MESSAGES for the CH. Make sure that the recipient is valid. If it is NULL, you'd hear failsafe.

    How to you set up a Windows Live Mail mailing list.   First of all, the instructions don't work, as in, there is no "Windows Contacts" under "All programs" which is what offers "Help".   I found the Windows Live Mail Contacts page, but when I created a mailing list named here it does not move to the singular Windows Contacts and will not come to the top on the e-mail address line.  Any advice?

    WLMail, click Contacts (lower-left)

    In the Contacts window, click homepage (upper-left)
    Click on 'Category' (new name of 'Group')
    Enter a category name
    Click the contacts you want to add
    Click "Save".

    About the mailing list, you can add email newsletter in your form where users submitting once or by subscribing will be automatically added to the list by e-mail.
