Maintenance and phasing mode

Dear all,

I would like to create a script to stop the host (and guests) when a power failure occure. I found a nice script on the web, and I see that he put the host in maintenance immediately mode, and subsequently, he begins to stop guests. I do not understand its purpose.

I found in the documentation: "the host is in a State of entering Maintenance Mode until all running virtual machines are turned off or migrated to different hosts. You can power on virtual machines or migrate virtual machines to a host of passage in maintenance mode. »

If the host will not be maintained until guests stops. I thought that maybe in this State there is no network communication between the clients and the clients, then maybe its purpose is to keep the guest in a more consistent state, but I don't know.

So my question is what is the real reason to be maintenance host mode prior to the guests?

Thank you very much

Hello

One advantage is that no new VMs will be migrated to this host by the DRS.

If otherwise you stop VMs, that host suddenly will have tons of free to use resources, DRS could therefore kick in and migrate new virtual machines on that host.

On the otherside, putting the host in maintenance mode can even save you having to close all virtual machines if your infrastructure is designed so that it:

If you have a cluster stretched, or different power for lack of domains in a domain controller, you may experience a loss of power on we'll say half of your ESXi hosts in a cluster. If your second half of the cluster has a power source and is not affected, put the soon-to-fail hosts in maintenance mode and let the DRS to evacuate VMS, is the fastest way to move your virtual machines with other hosts.

  • YouTube videos are green for a few seconds when they start, quickly moving and switch between fullscreen and windowed mode

suddenly, last night something happened with youtube. whenever I run a video on youtube its green for a few seconds, then it goes back to normal. its also green when I fast forward/jump and when I change between full screen and windowed. I linked to a screenshot of how it looks as if I googled this problem I find something else where people get a green screen but no picture at all and that it lasts the entire video.

I tried updating the drivers for my graphics card. I tried to play on my nvidia card rather than use my intel graphics hd 4600 and still got the same result, but instead to get a green image, it was really dark almost black. I also tried to reinstall flash even downgrade to an earlier version, but nothing does. and the strange thing is that I only have this problem on youtube and only through firefox so I even tried reinstalling firefox, but that did not work either

I found 2 things of this kind of help.
the first solution is to disable hardware acceleration, but instead to get a green image for a few seconds, image frozen for the same period of time and then play and she is like when its Green, when I start it up, jump and change to full or windowed.

the second solution I found in support for mozilla, to change the HTML5 player. But even if this player works great I really like it. for some reason any the break from the drive when I change between full screen and windowed mode and I don't like these pop-up windows get you that its now in full screen and I can press ESC to quit.

These are just little things, but I would like to return the standard player.
If anyone knows anything that could help me with this please let me know.

    What a little wild speculation?

YouTube uses a technology that has chopped videos in individual pieces, which is probably video serve more easily, but could create more opportunities for issues when moving in the video. There is an add-on called Center of YouTube that allows you to disable this technology and back to the days of one big file. Might be worth a try.

  • I've just updated to Firefox Beta 20. Not happy! The options "View Background Image" and "Image Mode" when you right-click is missing. How can I get that back?

I've just updated to Firefox Beta 20. Not happy! The options "View Background Image" and "Image Mode" when you right-click is missing. How can I get that back?

These entries should still be there if you right click on an image or an area with a background image.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/tools > Modules > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/tools > Modules > appearance).

  • Integration and Radian mode Question on HP 50 g calculator

It seems every time I change radian to degrees and OK mode mode, it will be always a few minutes later. I don't know if I accidentally activated a flag to cause it to happen or not, but how can I keep the calculator in degree mode always?

I have a question about integration on the HP 50 g as well. Here is a picture of what I seek to accomplish on the HP 50g: http://i.imgur.com/qTt9kHp.png

I'll tie it also via this post.

My problem is this: I need to take the integral on x while having a 'B' variable in the integral so. I want my final answer to appear as 1 333 + 0.333 B as does in the attached picture and the link above. But every time I entered the variables and constants and take the integral, I get the following error message:

    Error: Name not set

What exactly what I need to change in order to calculate the integral?

    Hi VitaX,

You want to integrate it in exact mode to get the desired response.  To switch between exact and about modes, hit shift to the right (hold) and enter.  The equal sign upward into the annunciator area of the screen indicates the exact mode.  Punching in your problem, I had (B + 4000) / 3, which is the exact shape of 1 333 +. 333 B.

The calculator SHOULD go to radian mode to run most of there CASES of advanced features (included integration of the exact mode)... There is no way around that.

    Hello

pass under the office-> Rightclick-> Screensaver-> power management.

Here you can activate the hibernation and I think there must be a point was that you can activate the sleep mode (may be it is useful if you are installing your Toshiba tools).

  • Could Scan mode and FPGA mode be used in a project?

    Hi all

I need a project that the current NI9203 with mode of analysis samples and samples of the accelerometer of the NI 9237 with FPGA mode. It could be achieved? Could Scan mode and FPGA mode be used in a project?

    I use labview2009.

    Thank you very much.

Yes, they can. This mode is called hybrid mode. To use the Mode of LabVIEW FPGA IO modules, simply slide the module to the target FPGA in the LabVIEW project, disconnected from scan mode. Then use LabVIEW FPGA to program the modules and use I/O variables for read and write I/O on the remaining modules. When you use a LabVIEW FPGA Mode on one or more modules, the logic of the scan Mode CompactRIO on the FPGA, known as the RIO Scan Interface, is compiled in a single application of FPGA with LabVIEW FPGA VI. If no module is configured to use the scan mode, the RIO Scan Interface is not included in the compilation.

  • Problems with Windows 10 screen standby and sleep mode

After downloading 10 Windows on my desktop all-in-one HP, I have problems with the display of standby and sleep mode.  When the computer turns off, he doesn't have the bright screen.

After the upgrade to Windows 10, some laptops have experienced one or more of the following symptoms:

    • > Power LED remains lit after stopping
    • > Computer enters standby or hibernation.

HP recommends that customers see these symptoms first update the graphics drivers by removing and then reinstalling the hardware in Device Manager.

See the section updating the graphics driver from where can I find drivers Windows 10 and software for my model?

  • For XP Windows experience index. I can't find the SYSTEM MAINTENANCE AND after selecting the start and Control Panel.

I'm following the steps to display the score of our computer trying to open the performance and tools by clicking the Start button, click Control Panel, clicking system and Maintenance , and then clicking Performance Information and Tools. However, I cannot locate the system and Maintenance icon so, therefore, cannot take place.  Maybe this does not apply to our computer?  Yes, we use IE8 and XP Professional.

Windows XP does not include Windows Experience Index. It is only available in Vista/Win7.

But there are other tests of performance that allows your computer to reference.

  • Manual maintenance and parts for C2N34UA

I just buy this laptop auction, but information on it is like finding teeth of the chicken (which probably betrays my age & geographical origins).

It is a 2000-2B80DX - C2N34UA 15.6 "laptop. I can't find information on the date of manufacture of that computer, but since it has Windows 8 I guess, it's a relatively new model that could explain the rarity of a maintenance manual.

Before the tear in there, I was hoping to get detailed information for spare parts, specifically size screws needed for the LCD screen & Assembly display. It's the only thing missing on the computer screen. I just happen to have a screen, but I'm running out of screws. One could even say that I have a little loose.

I'm selling my old G62 341NR so I don't want to cannibalize it but I'm guessing that most of the screws required are interchangeable since it is the LCD that I have with the same connector.

A final question is whether this model is interchangeable with the 2000-2b09ca because invariably when I search on my model that it jumps to the top.

Thanks for any help you can give me on this & happy Thanksgiving!
