MAJOR problems! Pls help fast... It is getting worse... I'm afraid he might try to plant!

First of all my browser windows would freeze.  Then, two days later, my office has started to freeze as well.  I don't know if the two incidents are related or not.  When I try to move an icon on the trash icon, to remove it, it freezes the office.  I also tried to remove the same icon by right-clicking on it.  Even when I right click on it, the desktop freezes.  Most of the things I tried to do, the destop, froze.  I can click on the Start button, but when I try to click on anything ('network' or 'music' for example) after that, it freezes the office.  I managed to be able to get the internet to work with or without gel office... This is how I am here right now.   I checked Windows Live One Care, and he said: it's a virus scan on 8 November.  I looked at the file and he said: he did not find anything.  I wanted to re - run analysis in any case and do check it out the entire computer.  But when I tried to run the scan, this program, too frozen.  I installed service pack 2, today, after noticing the freezing office.  In addition, programs, on the desk, who are holding still to load.  When I manually shut down the computer (that I had to do six times in ten minutes today), I get a black screen for a few minutes.  I can say the black screen is turned on, so I know the monitor is turned on.  After about 7-10 minutes of black screen, it then goes to the screen where I have to press "start windows normally".  I'm not quite sure what is wrong or what to do from here.  Help, please!

EDIT: I wrote this yesterday.  Today, the computer is MUCH worse.  Last night, the windows of the browser kept freezing over and over again.  In addition, this morning, I saw that the computer has rebooted itself some time after that I fell asleep.  I left the computer when I went to bed.  When I woke up, it was on the page (before the office comes up) where do I find the account and my password.  Well, I entered the password and once again, had the black screen.  This time, however, he never went to the office from there.  After more than an hour half black screen, I opted for my 1st guest account.  He didn't really start office... got the same black screen of her also.  Then, I opted for the 2nd guest account, and he went on the office this time.  I'm afraid that no one will reply to this message before ANY of my accounts no longer works.  Then, I have no idea what to do.  My husband is the one which corrects the computer always and who knows all about them.  But he is in Iraq right now, so I have to deal with this by myself.  Please HELP before my computer doesn't work at all!

We will make sure that your system is clean of the infection, see below:

Try to start your system in safe mode:

  1. Restart your computer if it is running.
  2. Press and hold the F8 key for 3 seconds after your computer powers initially on.
  3. Once you see the menu Advanced Boot Options, you can stop tapping.
  4. Up/down arrow keys to highlight your selection.
  5. Select Mode safe mode with networking and press ENTER.
  6. You should see drivers loading, it may take a few moments.
  7. You should then be at the Welcome screen.
  8. Connect to your computer using an account with administrator privileges.
  9. Now, you download (free) MalwareBytes from here: http://download.cnet.com/Malwarebytes-Anti-Malware/3000-8022_4-10804572.html?tag=mncol install, Update then do a scan of your system in safe mode, to ensure that it is indeed clean! Once the scan done remove anything it finds. Simply restart your PC to see if your problem has been resolved!

    Clear the cache and cookies from sites that cause problems.

    • "Clear the Cache": Tools > Options > advanced > network > storage (Cache) offline: 'clear now '.
    • 'Delete Cookies' sites causing problems: Tools > Options > privacy > Cookies: "show the Cookies".

    Despite having been a user since version 6.0, I've never used the forums so I'm new here.

    I have major dillemas following a big update at a critical time and feel completely abandoned by Adobe on this.

    I worked on a major project for more than a year.  Recently, the project requirements has become too expensive for my dual core Pentium running Premiere CS3.  CS3 has never been a program too stable during projects to get to a certain size, but this time frequent accidents were doing impossible things.  Furthermore, when I tried the functions of project management to consolidate and save my work, they would fail ("unknown error"), leaving my precious work extremely vulnerable.

    I contacted Adobe to inquire if I could build a new system first CS5 running and my project to import to CS3 to continue my work (which is now late with the customer).  The wizard of support said yes, there was complete backward compatibility.  You know what's coming...!

    I bought the new system (Pentium i7 860 8 GB of RAM, 1gig Graphics GTX460, striped disk Western Digital Mybook Firewire 800) and CS5 upgrade and has got it all.  I brought my project in CS5 by using the project import/set function in the menu.  My project appeared and I was hoping that everything was fine.  When I tried to read, the problems have become apparent.  Photos are all fine blue vertical lines from the top down, washed out colors and do not play smoothly.  The main monitor cannot read the timeline - it can only display the first image selected.  After a short period of reading, the whole program seems to go in slow motion. not an accident, but an impractical slows down.  The timeline, then stops responding and cannot be read.  When I first open the program, it takes about 5 minutes to load everything - that can't be right surely?

    Basically, it seems that CS5 is unable to manage my project of CS3 all despite the fact that, although large, it should be relatively easy.  It's a SD PAL widescreen project which is at the stage of rough cut.  I have not yet applied classification or something particularly complex (my system CS3 used to have difficulties handling of projects after that I applied Magic Bulllet looks like).  All sequences are in standard DV AVI format and was shot on a XLH1a.  The project also contains an uncompressed AVI file.

    The main thing is that I have spent a small fortune here all this because the old CS3 software was not working properly and I desperately need to finish this project.  Now the money has gone, CS3 is not stable enough to work on, CS5 on a brand new i7 machine work hardly at all, and my neck is on the line with the customer.  The work is sitting in limbo when I should be plug on with it.

    Sorry if this all sounds a bit (Christmas emotional stress?) but I would lovingly welcome all hero/heroine who can come to my rescue.  I'm so disappointed with Adobe right now.

    The blue vertical lines: for the Nvidia graphics card, it's a quality 3D setting that is causing the problem.  Set the parameter to "let the application decide."

    Untie the uncompressed avi and see how works the rest.

  • SwishMax2 SWF in Captivate: _droptarget problems - PLS HELP

    I have a drag & drop SwishMax2 app that works well in Flash Player. He checks where you drop a clip (using this ._droptarget) and something inspiring where you drop.

    Running the version standalone SWF gives me the correct "dropzone" in slash notation: / truthsZone/truthsZone or/liesZone/liesZone.

    When I import the SWF file in Captivate 3, drop the clip and debug the value of sound "this ._droptarget", it always returns "/ contentShade_mc" as the string value, no matter where I drop.

    Does anyone have an idea why this is happening? Captivate is somehow interfere with the _droptarget value? Has anyone out there swf imported with drag & drop code in Captivate 3 and had similar problems?

    Solved the problem.

    Dome digging and it seems that _droptarget always returns all what it hits, from the main time (more high depth) - which is the clip of Captivate in this case. Used the method hitTest() instead, and it works fine now.

    I posted last week, I couldn't open pdf after update of the player.

    After having followed the advice that I received, I uninstalled and reinstalled, accepted the agreement of the user, searched and not found the eula file.  Finally I managed to open the pdf files, however drive either now hangs completely or the blue circle shows updated continuously propagated.

    It appears that there are major problems with the update or I'm doing something completely wrong.

    Three things to try - which some have already been given to you in message your last week...

    1. Using Windows Explorer navigate to C:\Program Files (x 86) \Adobe\Reader 11.0\Reader, and then double-click Eula.exe and accept the license agreement
    2. You can open Adobe Reader by itself?  If so, try to disable the Protected Mode [Edit |] Preferences | (Improved) security].
