Piers. Is your copy of Mozilla's Firefox, or was it provided by your favorite distribution? Maybe your distro added some extra features in Firefox for a better integration. If you haven't already done so, try to download a copy here and see if you get a menu popup long in the executable file:
If that doesn't help also, you may need to use the extension to hide the context menu entries:

Right click 'Open with' missing order. Help please.
A few days ago, I realized that the 'Open with' contextual right click menu command is missing. However its there at the top of the window on the "menu bar" or whatever.
Not sure how it happened. Maybe when I installed MS .net Framework 3 SP1 or maybe when I cleaned the registry with CCleaner.
I need to get it back please. Could U tell me how? Thank you.Hi, scurvy:
By design, the open with menu option is not available when you click on executables (.cmd, .bat, .pif, .scf, .exe, .com or .scr), or shortcuts to executable files.
If you have lost the menu option open with for all types of files, including non-executable files, follow these steps:
1. click on Start, all programs, Accessories, Notepad.
2. copy and paste this text:
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\ * \shellex\ContextMenuHandlers\Open with]
@= "{09799AFB-AD67-11d1-ABCD-00C04FC30936}".3. click on file, record under, name the file "OpenWith.reg" (WITH THE QUOTES) and click OK.
4. double-click on OpenWith.reg, click continue, Yes, OKand see if the problem is resolved.
PS: My personal opinion is not to use no matter WHAT registry cleaner on the system.

Make a right click Open with 13 elements
Not a huge biggie, but I have updated to PSE13 (like improvements, in particular the Undo feature; and the stability of PSE13 compared to 12 [for Mac which is]) I'm running OS Mavericks X 10.9.5. My camera a Panasonic Lumix FZ1000 (camera great by-the-way). Now if I right click on the image of RW2 I do not receive an option to open with PSE13 which seems strange to me. I used 'open with' other PSE13 Publisher and chose always open with PSE13 said. So now as soon as I left click upward is PSE13 for editing that was precisely what I was looking for. The default value on the RC is PhotoMatix which I use occasionally. "Topaz" plug-ins simply hover of 12 to 13 so all very well that this stupid thing on the RC.
So why not make an option open with PSE13 if you right-click a RW2 file? Everything on the hard drive offers this choice; other than my camera RW2 files.
RC = right click.
Thanks in advance
Mozzy.
I'm thrilled to say that the Village of items came prevails and completely solved the problem for me. Make a click right/get info/open bottom/change all and all and completely dusted.
Make A right click now give me PSE13 as default or simply click on a RW2 file and it will open in PSE13.

Make a right click 'open with' file error command has associated program
When I use Windows Explorer (XP, OS), click 'Open with' 'another program' right I get this error: "this file has no program associated with it for performing this action. Create an association in the Folder Options Control Panel. " He has never done this before and I can't identify when the problem started. Please do not suggest a repair installation because I don't have enough disk space, and way to many programs installed to a new installation. There must be a registry fix somehow. The Windows registry is the most useless way to track information on the program I've ever seen. It's a problematic piece of * to say the least.

Make a right click on the e-mail list no longer opens the context menu.
Hello world
Thunderbird collapsed to display the context menu on the mailing list recently. Make a right-click displays just the cross line. What is the problem could be?
Thanks anyone for any help.Win 8.1 64
Thun 31.3.0Very strange.
Make a right click on the email list should open a menu drop-down.
Usually a line crossed through something means that it is marked as deleted in an imap e-mail account.See if there is a conflict with an add-on.
Restart Thunderbird in safe mode.
Help > restart with disabled addons.then run the same test; Right click on the email list.
Do you get the drop down, if so, then one of your addons is the origin of the conflict.
You'd have to disbale each in turn to find what the problem is.
Maybe the addon should update.
Report on the results. -

Windows 7: make a right click does not work and sliders moving to voluntarily
Hello.
Until these two options, I want just to say I have swapped/changed my mouse without success AND I tried to restore to an earlier point. My computer won't let me not make a right-click in the installed software (what is Microsoft looks good, but my Kindle app and Google Chrome as affected). The right click menu will appear, but she disappears before you click on something. At the same time, I seem to be unable to scroll down (for example, when you used the file > open option and scroll down) using my mouse. The sliders seem to control themselves. If I try to turn down the volume on my computer the cursor automatically moves to highest, and if I try to scroll the cursor automatically try to pull up. I can't stop it, even when I click on it it forces fair itself upward.Anyone know what on Earth is wrong with the computer? Rebooted, restored, etc etc. I don't want to have to reformat and reinstall Windows 7!Help! The computer seems to have a mind of your own. Thanks a lot for your answer.
I indeed checked by safe mode, but also the configuration of system (clean boot) that's causing the problem. He helped eliminate it as a problem with one of the Microsoft software. Also, it was not a physical fault with my laptop. What he helped me identify is the problem with the wireless mouse. All I had to do was unplug the wireless mouse and put the old fashioned a good with a cable attached to it and the computer was back to normal! Thanks for the support, he helped sort!HK -

Looks like a ShellExtension incompatible.
Run ShellExView [1] and disable all NON-Microsoft extensions. If the error are gone select 3rd party addons 1 followed by the other to detect the addon that causes the problem.

Make a right click stops working after 3 weeks
Brand new PC, Acer Aspire AXC600, Win 8 OS, processor Intel Pentium, mouse monitor set in motion, without a touchscreen. Administrator (me) and two children use the same PC. OS worked fine for burning two weeks in the period and then suddenly two child users right click function stopped working from the start screen. Make a right click now behaves as if Vista OS. Admin user retains full function to win 8 right click function. Sound familiar to anyone?
Hi Paul,.
1. do you get an error message when you right-click in these two accounts?
2 are you facing this problem when you access a particular program?
3 have you ever done any recent software or changes to the hardware to the computer?
You might face this problem because of the changes in the mouse settings. I suggest you to change the settings of the mouse for these two accounts once more and check.
You can see the following article from Microsoft to change the mouse settings.
Change the settings of the mouse

You can also see the following article for more information.
