Manipulation of the gray stars

If iTunes will assign ratings to my podcast episodes when I have NOT assigned a side (grey stars), why in the world can't the smart playlists include the ability to filter based on whether the star is grey or black?  Essentially, this change in iTunes which force ratings on not assessed points has destroyed my ability to filter my list of how I want to.  Now, I have to give a star rating to each episode black to replace iTunes grey star ratings assigns or lose my ability to filter.  I can't remove the side grey-star without resetting all the sides black stars for all of the podcasts, which also destroyed my filtering system.  I wish they would return to their previous method do not have iTunes give anything without my permission.

Here are four scripts that can erase or reset album and follow the automatic classification. Each of them works on the current selection of songs in iTunes. The first two work by assigning a manual note of 1%, which shows as no stars and should work fine with your smart playlists. The second pair to restore the default behavior. You will probably still make a management as new items are added to your library, but it might make it easier.

  • How can I remove the grey stars in scoring for iTunes 12.3.3.17?

Hey there. I've recently updated 12.3.3.17 on my Macbook and in previous iterations, I was able to remove the gray stars in the roundabout way ranking column (with 'Art Show' visible and the edition of the album of note, having 'Album Rating' "visible and edit there, etc.", but now it won't let me change the rating?)

Does anyone know how to solve this problem this time?

I can't believe that it is still a problem after all this time.

    Thank you

This method always works for me. You delete these ratings in a view that displays all the tracks in the album?

  • I no longer get the box "edit this bookmark" when click on the gold star

Using Firefox 3.6.12 under Windows XP Professional version 5.1.2600 service pack 3, build 2600. Having the 'Unsorted Bookmarks folder Menu' module installed, works fine, but 4 days by clicking on the icon star to edit an existing bookmark no longer works. Hovering over the gold star still gives the pop up message "edit this bookmark"- but when I click it, nothing happens, the Edit bookmark box does not appear. In addition, the button 'Options' for the "UNORDERED bookmarks folder Menu" add-on is grayed out, so no luck with trying to fix here.

Try disabling the McAfee SiteAdvisor extension.

  • Where are the side stars in iOS 10.0.1?

Hello, please tell me the rating stars has not been eliminated in iOS 10.0.1

    Thank you.

This looks now, he went on iOS. Probably in order to simplify the application on mobile devices. Looks like you can still see on iTunes on your Mac and can make playlists based on them from there.

  • How to block all the videos and ads on all the site as how it is when it shows the gray screen when the flash player needs to be updated

Hi there please help me. I didn't have this problem until two days ago when the browser updated itself. I have the youtube video downloader add on and always use it. I'm on a data plan and it used to block videos and add ads which I like, but now is not because of the update, I came back to the old version, but it did not help and I downloaded the flash but block it does not work. It makes the slow loading of pages and uses a large amount of data that I tried many things like all the plugins of switching to add it on the menu to activate ever and it doesn't quite work. Before it used to show the gray screen, where it says "the flash player is out of date" on videos and commercials, but he does not do this because of the update so please help me to do it again.

I solved. On the firefox support page they will give you information about the HTML5 player and they say there that firefox uses it only 38 version before so I'm 36 version and it worked in blocking it as before.

So its all sort and if everyone wants to do the same thing go to https://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/releases/ and all previous versions will be there.

  • ~ How to set the default folder to the bookmarks star? ~

I would like to change the location of the folder of bookmarks created by star.

I don't think that there is a built-in way to do it.

To call the dialog box with the Menu bookmarks instead of Unsorted Bookmarks, you can use one of these methods:

    • CTRL + d
    • Right-click on an empty area of the page, then click the star on the shortcut menu
    • (menu bar) Menu bookmarks > bookmark this Page

This extension could help customizing the icon "Star": https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/add-bookmark-here-2/

  • I don't have the Blue Star in my toolbar to add a bookmark

I can't use the tool without the Blue Star

Alright. Some screenshots would be helpful, it's just to help tell me exactly whats going, but I'll see what I can do with what I got. If you don't have the Blue Star (bookmarks icon) on your toolbar, this is how to get there: go to the menu bar on the upper right corner, and then click Customize. It should be in a list of icons that are not in your toolbar. You can then drag it there. Just take a look at the attached screenshots if it does not make sense.

  • Why not just make the Blue Star add bookmarks to the Menu "Favorites"?

Why is the easiest option to add a bookmark must dismiss this bookmark to the phantom Zone?
I guess that very few people want their bookmarks to be added to the section "Unsorted Bookmarks" directly by default, so why the star do this by default? I have given anecdotal-search engine to support my claim, with many people asking a semblance of this question I'm wondering now, and even more that involve people get confused and asking a version of ' where my favorites gone? "after using the icon star, to ignore the"Unsorted Bookmarks""section", if we can call such a 'section '.
I looked in the preferences of an option to change it so the Blue Star would automatically add them to the "Bookmarks Menu" instead of sodding them to Nowhereland, but I'm either missing or it is not there. I did Google for a bit, but I'm tired of dogged by similar information but largely unrelated, or the aforementioned confusion.
I know, I know, I * can * "right click", or I * could * 'double-click' the star icon and change the folder, but why should I do first? It removes the convenience of the "convenient" option
So, the star is, mock me, laughing at my multiple clicks wasted, ignoring that there no mortality of its own to meditate and still somehow with this lack of information against me.
All I wanted was a better way, and it's right there in my face, close enough that I can * click * it, but still far enough away to make fun of my simpler desires.
Thank you for what I guess has your time and review and any hypothetical help you can try to offer.

You can use the shortcut Ctrl + D (bookmark > bookmark this Page) to have the page my favorites in the Menu folder bookmarks.

  • Accidentally right click the Blue Star and now he's gone. How can I get that back?

I was looking for a way to put the bookmark in the right category. Right click and then I think I clicked on one marked 'menu of options', but I do not know because at that time there closed the dialog box and the Blue Star is no more.
I can't find any instructions to use the new options of customization, mentioned in stories about 29.

Just go to the Menu bar (press F10 or Alt to the unhide) now go to view > > toolbars > > Customize > > look right, look for favorite icon, the drag and drop in the toolbar.

I think when you click in the option to switch to the menu.

  • Where are the sides 'star' on the latest version of the music for the iPhone?

Previously, I could see, add and change the collation 'star' of songs on my iPhone.  I do not find this option.  This a large part of how I organize and track my music collection, which is massive and therefore can be very difficult to manage.  It was my most important tool! Someone at - it a preview?

    This feature no longer exists.

  • Google Image Search shows only one page of results, then the gray boxes

Since several months ago, google search for images watch gray boxes instead of the thumbnails after a random number of thumbnails correctly indicated.

I've seen several posts on the web and several suggestions, but none solved the problem for me (FF 20.0.1, Windows Vista and Windows 7).

Finally, I tracked down the source of the problem and found a workaround:

Looking at the traffic on my firewall (iptables nat) I found this during the loading of an image search result:
    192.168.168.159 - > 74.125.234.226 TLSv1 alert (level: Fatal, Description: unexpected Message)

So, I realized that since there is a time firefox uses https whenever we use google.

The solution is after loading the image (with the gray boxes) search result, just replace the https to http protocol in the browser's address bar. Which loads the remaining without problem images when you scroll to the bottom of the page.

IE does not have the problem because it does not have this redirect. If you load a 'good' search results in Internet Explorer, then replace http with https in the address bar, the same problem occurs in Internet Explorer.

(so, apologize for posting this here, because it's not really a matter of "firefox", but given that most people are complaining that it is, I though it would be a good place for the available information)

Thanks, but as I said, that is done the same if forced to https. I can boot to linux, and FF is the same, like chrome.

So it's not anything related to the cache, cookies, or plugins or even FF FF. It's probably something in the firewall. I just posted it here because other people have been blaming FF for this problem (it is more likely to be seen in FF, because it was google redirect to https for 14.0.1).

  • How can I customize Firefox to remove the function where the gray browser window in order to highlight a question box?

Since I upgraded to Firefox 3 (as I waited if long to do because I could not customize the Firefox of the way I wanted) to Firefox 14.0.1, I had a problem.

I guess one of the sites I visit to try to emulate Windows, where the background turns gray when he wants that focus you on an area of response. So when I'm on a courier website third (Inbox.com) and delete a message when the message box appears to ask me if I really want to delete the message, the background turns gray while the answer box. It never happened on this site when I used Firefox 3, and I would like to avoid this.

I tried to handle this with an add-on (Element Hiding Helper for Adblock Plus), but it doesn't allow me to select the gray part of the screen, the way in which this is the case not requested "pop-ups".

Y at - it a Firefox setting or an add-on that I can use to keep the background to become "grayed out"?

    Thank you

You can set the pref prompts.tab_modal.enabled false on the topic: config to return to the alert style former and prompt pop ups, but it crashes Firefox too long this popup is open. Modal windows are specific tab and do not block the user interface.

  • Is there a a way to view again the description field by clicking on the gold star near the url (useful for typing memos on this site)?

In previous versions of Firefox, when you click on the star next to the url, you can add this site to your Favorites. Another click and you can edit some fields on this bookmark, URL, file, etc...

But with FF17, the Description field is gone. You can only find when you manage your bookmarks, which is really easy to use.

Is it possible to add again the description field by clicking on the gold star? It is very useful to add notes about this Web site, and it's also resynchronize it with addins like Xmarks

Add code to the file userChrome.css below default @namespace.

Upward at the top where you put in the web site that you are looking so that it stores. I double click on the yellow star and it gives me an option to remove this site. However I can't do something just because it is not delete it.

    Hi SKennedy1311,

There are several ways you can remove sites the location bar AutoComplete drop-down. It is probably easier for you to see than to explain. Take a look at the Awesome Bar - find your Firefox bookmarks, history, and the tabs in the address bar. This article will give you all the information you need.

    Hope this helps!
