• Why can't create the dotted lines in Photoshop as easy as you can in Illustrator?

  This has been driving me crazy for a while. Why can not create a line in dotted lines in Photoshop by simply changing the race? I know you can do all that jazz with a line dotted with a brush and the spacing settings, but it's a pretty crappy solution consider if you want to change the line width, spacing of the dowry or same length, you have to start over.

  Tell me people? He is such a feature of basic of Illustrator, why can't they just add in to Photoshop in the same feature?

  When printers says you have a problem.

  Try this way:

  (1) place the form egg behind the form of the city as indicated;

  (2) copy the form egg before the shape of the city;

  (3) cut the egg shape of copy to the extreme right and the extreme (lower) left, remove the upper part and add vertical segments and a good upper horizontal segment above the shape of the city;

  (Use 4) 3) as the shadow of the shape of the city.

  Hello, Im trying to find a way to get different colors in different points/features dotted. Here is what Im doing so far. Select the dotted line, go to path objects and click on "hierarchical STROKE." When I do that I can select indivudual points, or shift/select more, but when I try to simply add the selected colout points, the entire line of refills points. Can someone put me straight on what Im doing wrong. Thanks, Readysteady

  Make a path and stroking with a width of 4 points and a hint of 6 and a gap of 4. Add a new blow to the line with a different color, same width and a hint of 0, a difference of 10, a hint of 6 and a gap of 4. It should look like this.

  Yes, I took out the clipping mask, and then convert the line forms at one track, then used Pathfinder > split clip everything outside the old mask, then I cut the ends of each line with the scissors and removed half of each path. After all that, I applied three different dotted with traits for the different ways to achieve this:

  I'm having a problem created a dotted line in Illustrator CS5 using the technique of a dotted selection and setting of the dashboard to 0pt.

  Instead of points, I'm dashes with rounded ends as shown in the image below.

  I'm sure I'm missing something obvious, but, please, let me know what it is.

  

  

  Remove the second 0pt for dash or just add an another 5pt distance of variance in the 2nd entry of gap.

  CS3 PC:

  The use of the tool in my toolbox online gives an arrow. Are there any other typesbesides of the default arrow? I would like a double-ended arrow to indicate the measurements on a technical drawing.

  In addition, using the pencil tool, I would like to be able to draw dashed or dotted lines.

  Hello Experts!

  I went out of my Illustrator graphics to a strawberry of trade by exporting to SVG. Paths of dictate cuts.

  I would like to simulate a fold makes its way in dotted lines without having to hand draw each dash in the path.

  With the help of Illustrator CS4, how can I create paths clean single dotted line of continuous paths with the applied dotted line?

  If I use the dotted with hierarchical path (on a loop not closed), I find myself with rectangles (as the dotted line has a width to it).

  You can:

  (1) create a short path, the length of the dashboard (you can use the online tool);

  (2) in the brushes dialog, check create new brush and check model brush, defining the spacing on the length of the gap and keep Stretch Fit checked (you get a slight change of lengths); Now you have a brush to dashboard;

  (3) apply to the Dash brush for paths in question;

  (4) object > decompose the aspect to create paths separated from short simple as dashes.

• How can I get rid of the dotted line on the right side of the frame enclosing

  Since I upgraded to CS5, I seem to have a broken dotted line along the right side of the frame enclosing the png logo that was created for my business.  It did not exist previously. I went back to my original back to the logo and it broke the line is in all versions now.

  When I use the work a single table of edge/dotted line is left to the far right, where it would have been the right vertical line of the bounding box. You can see in the image below on the right.  Its a slight white line but when printed on a banner for its stark white.  The line falls just above the last "A" in Alberta.

  

  I use Illustrator and Photoshop basics and but have trouble when I'm in the problems of this kind.

  Can someone help me understand why its there and how get rid of?

  The logo is placed above the background color or is the part of the logo background color.

  Are they on the same layer is the effect applied to the logo. Say you that it is png, which program was author in and why is png?

• Illustrator CS3 incorrect impression

  First of all, I should probably clarify that I am not a professional graphic artist/printer.  I am a graduate student of architecture that has an Epson R1800.  Photoshop CS3 printing seems to work very well and I'm getting a reasonable representation of colors (after configuring proof, turn off the OS X color controls, etc.).  If I try to Illustrator (and InDesign) I get very poor quality prints.  In Illustrator, so that I have my proof set up my Epson paper I use and my printer settings are as follows:

  Color management: Illustrator determine colors

  Printer profile: SPR1800 Standard (right now I just need a few black line drawings on plain paper)

  Render mode: colorimetric Relative

  Now, if I change my print settings in Illustrator, I don't see any change in printing.  If I try to make changes by the "printer" window (after selecting the file > print > printer), I get a warning dialog and still nothing seems to change.  If I export an EPS or PDF and printing out of Photoshop, I get great prints.  I would like to cut the middlemen (PS) and print directly from Illustrator as opposed to the export of many drawings and printing from Photoshop.

  Any help is appreciated!

  Chain is quite right. If the same thing happens on an external device there is problem with the video card and probably the whole motherboard must be exchanged.

  I have an existing document from a previous version that has ruined lines between words and dollar amounts. As in "words-$".

  When I try to add or remove all the features dotted the entire line turns into a continuous line.

  In a new document, the dotted line remains a dashed line.

  How can I keep the dotted line when you add or remove all dashes?

  In the Pages v5.6.1, uncheck menu Edition: Substitutions: Smart dashes. This will prevent any effect of continuous line.
