• How to fill my date fields placed on the Master Page to several pages?

  I have a dynamic form with fields flowing. I inserted date fields using the tab of Master Pages in Adobe LiveCycle Designer ES2, Windows 7 operating system. I have only 1 Master Page. Everything on the form works fine, except when I have several pages, date fields are empty on all except the first page. One of the date fields in the event javascript has exit to calculate the second field. I can manually change the fields of date subsequent page (s), but I don't want the end user to have to do. I want that date fields on the new pages to match the date fields in the first pages. Here's my output with notes to provide a visualization of what I'm looking for.

  You set the binding of the two fields date to the ' global mandatory?

  Important each of these fields need to own a meaningful name, for example "date_UserEntry" and "date_Calculate".

• If I put a script in the header of a master page will work on all pages related to this basic form?

  If I put my google analytics script in the header of the master is it works on all the pages related to this basic form or should I put the code in the header of each individual pages?

  The master added to the page code will be added to all pages based on that master and perform accordingly.

• Folio Builder - impossible to import several Pages / Single single Pages work

  Don't know what I'm doing wrong but I built folios with unique pages, but when you create a document successfully InDesign (all in landscape) with several pages it comes up with the error "the proportions of page size must match the proportions of folio.  I created the cover and I'm coming up with the error trying to "import" (FYI / I have mirrored, creating folios of the webcast "Terry White").  No problems with a single page document import.  For every document that is created, I used the schooling or _v ensure that enforcement includes their orientation correctly.

  I found the solution and it literally hit me in the face.  When you create a document, you MUST select ' INTENTION: WEB ' vs. the default ' INTENTION: PRINT ", Yes, that obviously makes sense but that has been the question.  Haven't tried the facing pages vs deselected, that should work online with a layout, I'm trying to replicate, but who did.

• Master page with rollover menu, using States, does not work for all pages?

  I created my masterpage with a basic at the top menu. It has two States. The 1st State is normal and State 2 is a simple rollover behavior, just a different color.

  Why my menu would work perfectly on the page ' 01', but then the reversal function does not work for other pages? (portfolio 03 etc.). She has just the hoverover slider and the link, but the color does not change.

  I have something wrong?

  Make sure that all the subpages have a second State added to them. You

  do not put any content on this State, but it must be present

  the transfer of work from the watch page.

  If you do not already have that second State, trying to link then cancelled

  the subpages of the master page. I came across this scenario recently

  because I had created a master page after some of my subpages have been

  already built.

• Several pages with subforms

  Hi all

  Have a requirement where page 1 must be repeated in other be English page 1 and Page 2 will be french. (the underlying fields to display in both languages will be same but there labels will be different for each language) I use a master page with its default content area. The layout will look something like below.

  

  The content of the English subform went (from top down), all subforms in the subform are positioned and the ItemBody has "allow breaks in Page content" checked as it is repeatable. With this configuration, the output is perfect with several pages (when they are produced during the first page).

  For the French as the page following am duplicating the English subform, the problem is

  1. some data that appears in the Headerform for English does not appear in french, if I write a calculation script, it works very well. I could have got some wrong basic properties.

  2. display of items is good for English, but not even an element appears for the French.

  Use a local XSD as the data connection.

  Grateful if someone can help me with the design basis for my requirement or suggestions.

  Finally found the solution.

  I've changed the link to the first ItemBody to InvoiceDetail.ListOfInvoiceItemDetail.InvoiceItemDetail [*]

  in the calculation of the events of the second ItemBody wrote the script below

  _ItemBody.setInstances (English._ItemBody.Count)

• Need help with a form and allowing several pages

  I am trying to create a form that can be several pages, if necessary, based on the size of a text field.  To give you an idea of what I'm looking for, the form has a header and a footer (if you want) and then a text field used for a story to report.  This narrative field must be able to expand according to the amount of information entered by the end user.  In addition, we have the footer to move to the second page, when necessary.  I have been working on it for awhile now and followed some advice from this forum on the creation of dynamic forms, subforms and similar, but have not been able to get the form working properly.  The problem I encounter is that the text field (narrative field) develop, apparently on page two, but is not created two page.  Also, it covers the footer, which makes a jumble of words.

  Any ideas or suggestions on how to make this work?

• Smart txt reflow - how do you work with several text boxes?

  I create ID cards to work, for 650 employees. I had used the reflow of text before smart on other jobs and I don't foresee any problems with its use for this project. To explain my problem:

  I'm doing a template with a trial of ten employees file. The design on each card, it is a name and a unique ID to be used. The name is 18pt and code 10pt.

  On my main page, I have a block of text for the name and a text block for the employee ID. The text blocks are as wide as the work plan but only high enough to adapt to a single name by image to the relevant point size.

  On the first page of my document, I select 'place' and then select the text file with all the names, I get the change of cursor in the image of the text, I hold SHIFT for the debit option and click on my name text box. InDesign automatically creates 9 new pages, and I now have a 10 page document. So far, perfect.

  I select "place" again, choose the employee code text file, click on my block of text in code used on the first page, and repeat the same process as above.

  My problem starts - I want codes for the employee to just flow through ten pages, as the names, but when I place the codes file and select the text on the first page, inDesign creates 10 new pages after the tenth page. So I find myself with 20 pages - the first ten pages with names and nothing in the code text boxes and the last ten pages with the codes but nothing in the name text boxes.

  I am at a loss as to why he does this. I was playing with the settings in the preferences, but nothing changes. I tried to select both the two text files and import at the same time.

  How do you work with several text boxes and several import of text file on a doicument? There are no extra spaces or something like that in my text files.

  I really don't want to have to link all text blocks - that will forever, but right now it's the only way I can get it to do what I want.

  Also, is there anyway to specify the font and the size of the text is important as? Because it keeps import as minion pro, even if the text boxes on the master are set to the correct font and size. Not a big deal though.

  Ah, I think I misunderstood your original post and thought you wanted to do 10 badges per page. If it's only one, you need only a set of images. Same procedure for setting in place, but you have no need to screw anything or use the step and repaet to make copies.

  Place the file name in the frames of name and ID will add pages and then return to the first page and place the numbers. Just don't forget to put the bad slider in the space where the framework and to stay away from the guides (if you click on a guide, ID will ignore masters executives) and hold down the SHIFT key when you click.

• Use Illustrator for several page document?

  I'm usually the FrameMaker and, to some extent, areas of InDesign, but a potential client asked me to work on a document for them.

  They are doing a reference guide fast (I guess a single sheet folded into six panels, or multiple sheets folded and stapled into a booklet) and plan to do in Illustrator.

  I've done these before in InDesign, but wanted to know if there is some capacity in Illustrator to make the document there, for one of the above formats.

  Yes!

  To do this, you use the functionality of the artboard in Illustrator. When you create a new document, specify the number of workplans (aka pages) you need and the amount of space between, etc. Once you have your document updated in place, to zoom out and see all the work plans outlined in the grid you specified. If you don't see it, make sure that "show the work plans" is checked in the view menu.

  You will not be able to create a master page, as you can in India, but you can stick to the same place on all work plans - I think that the command (mac) is command + shift + option + V. Cut you the original (command + x) item and then paste it in place on all pages.

  Interesting information:

  • If you open the palette of the artboard, you can name the work plans. When you export, say described SPE, you can choose 'use work plans' and you will get a separate eps file for each WITH THE NAME of the palette of the graphic board work plan, plus a file with all the plans of working together. Record in PDF format made a several page PDF as you would expect. You can choose out of a work plan.
  • Also, with the artboard open palette, you can double-click on a name of the artboard and Illustrator will pass to the artboard in format full screen. Very convenient when you have a lot of work plans.
  • You can change the layout of your work plans by clicking in the upper right of the palette of the artboard and choosing reorganize work plans (or something close to that). Make sure that everything is unlocked, otherwise they move with the new drink.
  • And finally, you can change the size of a work plan using the work plan of the tool palette tool or by double-clicking the artboard icon in the palette, which will bring up a dialog box...

  I'm a fan of InDesign, I feel your pain. One of my clients is a manufacturer of items sold at retail for which we design and prepare for the printing of many packages/donor cards, etc. Before the existence of the function of work plan, we had a separate Illy file for each SKU. He permits to be much more organized, and you don't get hit with seven gazillion files when you open a folder. (I tried to get them to convert into India, but really, it is not set up for this type of use, so I had to learn the ins and outs of the Illustrator and have come to appreciate for many things. Unfortunately, manipulation of type is not one of them, but it is designed to make designs, not the value type).

• figure numbering is not on several pages

  I created a master page layout that automatically numbers captions using a paragraph style (implemented with a list of number through stories). Everything works fine on the master plan, but when I do several real pages (spreads) using this single page layout, the numbering starts again each page. At set up my numbering in correctly? How is it does not continue on several pages? How to solve this apparently simple problem using a master page layout (which is important for the rest of my layout)?

  Humm, the only way that I managed to make it work was to manually connect together the area of text and pages, and then it works very well, if not ID consider the new page on the left is the beginning of a new numbering sequence. As long as the numbering are interconnected, it works. It's a little help?

  

• A single finger swipe jumps several pages

  Since the last update of Firefox, a single finger swipe was introduced. However, it seems to jump forward or backward too fast and several pages. Still, it works fine in Safari but not firefox. I used to have 2 Configuration of slip of the finger with the best contact tool, but stumbled on the fact, one finger now works. All simply TOO sensitive. Tried to reduce the sensitivity to the best contact tool, but that does not work either

  It works better in Firefox if you disable the best tactile tool?

• Scanning several Pages of a PDF O/J 8620

  I'm scanning a flight log so I can't use the ADF. I need to scan in PDF format and have several pages. I want only 1 PDF - not 10 different PDF files with 10 different pages... Try everything and nothing seems to work.

  My old O/Jet is done without any problem! This scanner does nothing if this feature has disappeared.

  I understand you want to scan several pages of your diary in a single file, using the scanner bed. You should see an option to add another page after each page is done scanning.

  Same thing for me.  I called HP about it the first time I tried I scans a document when my printer was 7 days old.  I was connected with the service to customers in India.  The technician spent about an hour with me trying to get the 6510/6515 printer to work, even to take control of my new 64 bit Windows 7 core i7 notebook.  Ultimately she essentially told me that even if it is announced to scan documents, this really means that each page is a separate document.  In other words, this printer, as well as all other issues, it is will only scan one page at a time.

• my hp deskjet3520 scan several pages, even if the box is unchecked to create separate files

  I have a Hp Deskjet 3520 printer all-in-one.  The user manual says there is a way to scan multiple pages to a pdf file.  However, even though I unchecked the box in the settings for 'create a separate file for each analysis', it gives me still no option to analyze the elements more after the first.  I've looked everywhere for the solution and it seems not to be.  It's as if the program for mine just does not work, as it is not recording I have unckecked this option for unique digitized files.  The manual was useless, it simply gives a very brief statement to use the software to analyze several elements instead of the interface of the printer, which i have done all this time anyway.  If someone could please help solve this problem, I would be very grateful.

  Open the HP software by using the icon named as the printer model.

  Under Actions of scanner, select scan a Document or Photo.

  Select the PDF shortcut, make sure the preview Scan option is checked and to ensure the resolution resolution configured as 300 dpi or below, higher do support not several pages of analysis...

  Click Scan and then you should see an Add button in the preview scan dialog box.
